Forbidden Love

Chapter Six

Hermione's stomache grew slightly larger over the next two months,as did Ginny's.Molly forced Harry to stay at The Burrow,much to his dismay.The two often argued over it,late at night when they thought no one was listening.Hermione had never heard Harry actually raise his voice to the woman,until she heard their first fight.

It was late,past midnight.Harry and Ginny had only been back for a week,and Harry was already wanting to leave.Hermione tried to get back to sleep,not wanting to eavesdrop,but she couldn't help it,the walls were so thin and the two had forgotten to cast a silencing spell on the room.

"But she's pregnant with your child!" Molly tried reasoning with him. "You need to be here for your wife."

"We both know this is best.I can't raise a child in a world with Voldemort still at large.We all know that I have to do this." Harry argued,trying to keep his voice low.

"Harry,please,she needs you right now." She pleaded him.

"Mrs.Weasley,what I need to do is go destroy the last of the horcruxes.There's only two left,and if I go now,I may be able to find them before the baby is born."

"Stop this nonsense.What you need to do is take care of Ginny." She pleaded.

"You stop with this!" Harry shouted. "I can't raise a child when I have unfinished business like this."

"Well,this child is your responsibility,whether you like it or not.Arthur and I are not going to sit here while our daughter cries herself to sleep because the father of her child has other things to do." Molly raised her voice as well,frustration evident in her tone.

"Look,getting married wasn't my decision,all right? Ginny wanted to so you'd accept her pregnancy,and she knew that I can't afford to stay here with that pyscho on the loose."

"Harry,like it or not,Ginny is your wife.It takes two people for a marriage to work,you said yourself you love her.That means you be there for her." Harry mumbled something then made his way up to Ginny's room which he was sharing with her.Hermione heard Molly begin to quietly sob,then she too went up to bed.

That was their first fight.As the weeks passed,they fought more,and worse.They had shouting matches nearly every night,which always ended with Harry giving up,and his mother-in-law in tears.

If Ginny heard these fights,she didn't let on.She was much happier then her new husband.Ginny,Hermione and Molly decided to go maternity clothes shopping in muggle London.Until then,Ginny had just been wearing Ron's old shirts and sweat pants.Hermione didn't really need maternity clothes just yet,her stomache not being nearly as big as Ginny's,but she needed something to cheer her up and fill her day.

Mad-Eye had agreed to speak to the captain of the Chudley Cannons,and no sooner had he done that than a letter arrived for Ron with the details of the Keeper tryouts.He's began training extra hard,taking Harry with him to keep him occupied.The two left early in the morning and didn't return until dark.Hermione was happy for her fiancé,so she didn't nag him about it.

The three women left just after noon for London.Hermione's parents had sent her some muggle money upon hearing of the good news of her pregnancy,so they didn't need to get their currancy changed.They had came for dinner a few weeks ago,but other than that she hadn't seen them much.Ginny was giddy as they flooed to the Leaky Cauldron (pregnant women were not supposed to Apparate,Hermione learned from one of the books Molly had got for her).She had a large smile on her face as the women perused the shops.

"How about this shirt Mum?" The younger girl asked,holding up a cute green maternity top.Molly nodded her head and added it to the pile she was carrying.After they had up to the limit of items allowed in the change room,they split up the pile and each pregnant witch went into a change room.After having Molly approved each article of clothing,the three paid for their purchases and went to have lunch in a muggle café.

"So,Ginny,have you and Harry thought about names yet?" Molly asked as the waitress brought them their food.

"Well,no not really," Ginny told her mom,her cheeks reddening. "we don't exactly see much of each other." Hermione could tell the topic was upsetting her,but Molly rounded on her instead.

"How about you,Hermione? Have you and Ron discussed names?" Hermione glanced at Ginny,but she was busy picking at her food.

"Uhh,yeah,a little." She answered,trying to not make Ginny's feel bad for Harry never being around.Ginny recomposed herself quickly and leaned in towards her best friend with an excited smile on her face.

"Come on Mione,I wanna hear the names for my neice of nephew." She said,egging the older girl on.Hermione felt herself blush.

"Well,for a boy I want the name Demitry." She told them.

"How bout for a girl?" Ginny asked.

"Well,I like the name Adrienne,but Ron likes Tabitha." She said.The two had actually just been talking about names the other night.They'd argued quite a bit about the name for a girl,neither one being able to agree with the other.However,it had ended with some make up sex,so it hadn't been a complete waste of a night.

"Those are all lovely names," Molly told her,she then glanced at the clock. "well girls,how bout we call it a day and head back to the Leaky Cauldron?"

"Thank Merlin,I'm exhausted!" Ginny said,picking up her bags of clothes.The three made their way back to the wizarding pub and inn,then flooed back to The Burrow,shrinking their bags to make them easier to carry.



When they arrived back,the house was empty.Ron and Harry were still out training,and Arthur was at work,so they had some more times just for the women.They lounged about,none of them feeling like doing much of anything.Molly made some sandwhiches for dinner since the men wouldn't be home for another few hours.They basically just sat around,thinking up potential baby names for Ginny's child.

"What about Sandrene?" Hermione suggested over tea.Ginny thought about it.

"I'd have to run it by Harry," She replied,then looked outside. "speaking of which,where are Harry and Ron? It's been dark for nearly two hours now." Molly glanced at her clock,all hands still being pointed at 'Mortal Perril' which was no use.

"Perhaps they decided to stay late,the tryouts are only two days away." Hermione inputted.Molly stood and checked out the window for signs of the two.She seemed very agitated.

"No,you can't play Quidditch in the dark.How would you see anything?" Ginny told her friend,having played for Gryffindor's team herself.The three exchanged glances,all becoming nervous.

They all sat in a tense silence,taking turns looking out the window and pacing the kitchen.Ginny had tears in her eyes as the hours passed.She rocked back and fourth uneasily,keeping a hand firmly on her enlarged belly.

It seemed like each minute took twenty as they waited for any sign of the two friends.Their teas sat cold and abandoned,having all lost the cozy feeling The Burrow and tea normally brought.

After what seemed like an eternity,they heard a soft tap on the window.Molly ran to it and let Hedwig in.The owl dropped a letter with all of their names on it,then began to drink their tea.

Molly opened the letter with shaking hands.She read over the messy scrawl,then sank down to the floor,sobbing loudly.Hermione's face dropped as she picked up the letter and began to read...
