Complete Confusion : Chapter Six
Chapter Six
Snape was kicking himself -hard- for what happened. He just hadn't realized he had been that hard on the boys body. He thought he'd be the good, proud little boy and just sit there and nurse his wounds, finding someone else to help kick the anger...after all, thats what the other boys did. He snickered at that thought...but it could prove distastrous at the same time. Maybe that pert little blonde didnt have anyone to lick his wounds for him. Now he had to face Dumbledore's questions, and with how ever he wanted to handle it.
But then again....it wasn't like they could just, fire him anyways. They needed him, so he was a little protected...after all....some of the other teachers knew. They werent all as clean as they'd like to admit, so he was fairly sucure. He streched out in his bed thinking about it, Draco's skin was such a beautiful creamy white...he fell asleep dreaming his favorite pasttime with a rather large grin.
Draco was dreaming, he could see his world falling away as the Dark Lord came and spoke to him.
“Poor boy...” The voice from everywhere hissed. “Snape was a bit rough on you.” It contninued. Draco looked around, but he could see nothing. There was only a sick sort of darkness hovering around him.
“Dark Lord?” He asked nothing, everything still trying to fight it. This time the voice did chuckle, saying;
“Good boy Draco. Now...do you wish for me to make it all better?” He said, his voice soothing over Draco's nerves. It helped, but Draco couldnt help but see a trap waiting somewhere in the wings. The voice started to laugh smugly.
“Very good Draco.” The voice said as he started to wake up.
“Ewww.” He couldnt reist saying as he saw a large head covered in bushy brown hair and two large front teeth.
“Well...Good morning to you too.” Hermione sniffled looking down at him.
“Why are you here?” He asked, rubbing his eyes and sitting up.
“I'm helping in the infirmary if you must know.” She said, checking his chart. She watched as he barely stopped a shudder. She didn't say anything as he wildly looked around, like a lost little boy in a forest.
“I'm in the....” He started out but Madam Pomfrey was already walking over.
“It's okay now Hermione dear, I'll help him.” She said, placing a guiding hand on Hermione's shoulder and taking the chart from her.
“Oh, alright.” She said walking away as the curtains were, in effect, slamed closed.
“How do you feel child?” She asked, pity in her voice.
“I feel fine.” Draco said genuinely, looking into her face, trying to read what happened.
“That's good dear, you hit your head when you where in Professor Snape's office.” She said, her voice trembling softly.
“I don't remember.” He stated, a little confused.
“Of course not, but your okay now dear. I fixed your memory and your head's a little too thick to let some thing like that hurt it for long.” She said with a chuckle.
“Huh.” Was all Draco could say, streaching out in the small bed. He really did feel fine, more well rested then he had been in a couple of weeks too.
“You can go when ever you feel good enough to, and just remember to take it easy.” She said walking away, pointing at his clothes sitting on the chair beside the bed. He nodded, and waited for her to close the curtains once again. After she did he got up and quickly got dressed, he felt...a little too good, he wasn't even cramped for being in the bed for a little bit.
As the boy walked out of the infirmary Madam Pomfrey quickly penned a note to Dumbledore.
“It worked.”
Was all it needed to say.
