Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Wolf Queen
Disclaimer: Not mine, nope, I don't get anything for this apart from enjoyment.
lisa: Yes, Ron and Harry are still a little immature at the moment to understand Snape. I have always envisioned Snape as being emotional and vulnerable... he knows emotions well, that's how he can play people so well.
cateye: You and me both, but we won't. That's what fanfic is for though. Harry and Ron are a little too protective of her, but then I think Harry wants to keep a good eye on them both... but hell he doesn't know how strong Hermione can be.
angel: Nope, not old enough. Ron will never date Hermione in my stories anyway.
Avanell: Does that mean then that I am good? Wow, thanks, as for A Strange Love, well you'll get the update on that one soon. I promise... As for what's in store for Hermione in this one? Well, you'll see.
Julz: Here is an update. I loved the way you did that review... I'm assuming its you... great one...
cateye (again): Sorry, I should have left an Authors Note or something. I have decided to write a chapter on all the stories I have inspiration for and then do like a mass update. It's the only way I feel I can keep up with them all.
Dee Dee: Some of your questions are answered in this update.
Wolf Queen
Severus was eating breakfast on his own. No one wanted to sit with him; Hermione walked into the dining room and saw him hunched over his plate alone and miserable. She gave a pointed glare to everyone sitting at the table. Particularly at Harry, Harry spotted it but decided to ignore her.
Hermione picked up her plate and cutlery and served her food onto her plate. She walked up to Severus.
“Can I?” she asked. Severus looked up and there was a twitch at the corner of his lips.
“Of course, as you can see you don’t have to jump the queue or anything,” Severus replied. He moved so that Hermione could sit next to him. Everyone was watching this with interest. Ron’s scrambled egg fell off his fork as he watched his girlfriend sit next to another man.
“Severus, about last night…!”
He looked up and noticed that everyone was also listening.
“It was stupid,” Severus said honestly. “Don’t worry. It won’t happen again.”
“No,” Hermione said. “No, it wasn’t stupid. Listen, why don’t we talk about this somewhere more private?”
Severus nodded. Hermione reached out and squeezed his knee. She smiled a reassuring smile, and then they ate the rest of their breakfast in silence. The people at the table resumed their conversations, apart from Ron who kept his suspicious eyes on Hermione and Snake.

Fenrir watched Tonks. It was clear that Miss Changeatwill was going to play up the part of this Hermione Granger. Fenrir wasn’t going to touch Miss Changeatwill unless it took him a long time to find this Hermione but he knew that it wouldn’t take that long.
Hermione clearly knew Miss Changeatwill and, therefore must know Remus. It must be Remus that was the Werewolf spy. So, it was more than a pleasant distraction or two that kept him from pack meets. It was Remus with Hermione in that cave rescuing Severus. He sniggered. He turned to look at the way his prospective mate would look like asleep, and he smirked. This was going to be great.
He just had to reassure Remus somehow. He had to send for the cub and somehow convince Remus to bring Hermione along. How could he do that? Well, perhaps they could swap. Remus would have to decide. Is it going to be Hermione who was just a friend, or was it going to be the mate of the wolf?

Severus was in the library pacing back and forth; he rushed his hands through his hair. The door opened, and he was preparing a speech in his mind to let Hermione know that what happened last night could NOT happen again. He stepped up and was just about to greet her when the face of Ronald Weasley peered round the door.
Ron smiled as he spotted his prey. He walked into the room and drew his wand out at Severus knowing that the man was vulnerable and without magic to defend himself with; Ron knew he’d be the victor.
“Mr Weasley,” Severus snapped. “What do you want?”
Without speaking, without saying a word, Ron hit a powerful Locomotor Mortis spell on Snape’s legs. Then, sure of his success Ronald stepped closer to the even more defenceless man and grinned wickedly. He set a Sectumsempra on Snape’s body. Snape screamed in anguish.
Thankfully someone heard, and that someone was Hermione. She rushed into the library wondering what the hell was going on and she felt the colour drain from her face as what she saw shocked her beyond belief.
“RON!” She yelled. She dropped her book and ran in front of Snape and hit Ron with a stunning spell and Ron was knocked out. Hermione spun around and cleared up Severus wounds and released him from the Locomotor Mortis spell.
“Are you okay?” Hermione asked, her voice was shaken and she was concerned.
“I guess it’s less than I deserved,” Severus replied ruefully.
“How can you say that after all that you’ve done for us?” Hermione asked her heart in her eyes and voice.
Ron groaned and his head lolled to the other side and he blinked. He began crawling his way up. He clutched hold of the edge of the chair, and then made his way unsteadily onto his feet. He swayed a little and he soon regained his composure. He shook his head; his vision cleared to see Hermione looking at Snape with love and respect in her eyes. This was more than he could stand at the moment.
“WHAT THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU DOING TO HER?” He yelled at Snape.
Hermione spun on her heel her hair flew and it whacked Severus in his chest. She took a step back and she reached her hand behind her groping for Severus hand. Severus took it.
“He has done nothing to me, Ron,” Hermione said. “All Severus crime is to exist, for you, isn’t it? Severus doesn’t have to do anything wrong except that he’s alive. Well I’ve got news for you Ronald Bilius Weasley – Severus Snape is more a man than you’ll ever be!”
Ron narrowed his eyes at her. “WHAT! HE KILLED DUMBLEDORE!”
“SOMETHING THAT HE ISN’T PROUD OF!” Hermione yelled back at him. “SOMETHING THAT I’VE BEEN TRYING TO GET THROUGH TO YOUR THICK QUIDDITCH FILLED BRAIN!” Hermione sighed as she held onto Severus hand even more tightly. Ron was spluttering at this. “It’s quite clear, Ron, that we’re not going to have a good relationship at the moment. Sorry, but I have to decline your offer of being your girlfriend. I don’t think we’re suited to each other that way.”
Ron opened and shut his mouth like a codfish and stared at Hermione and glared at his now open rival with undisguised hatred.
“Hermione, that man’s tricked you!”
“Without magic, Ron, grow up!” Hermione exclaimed. Hermione turned her attention towards Snape. “Did you provoke him?”
“Most certainly not, I just asked him what he wanted and he just attacked me!”
Hermione turned her attention to Ron. “You acted worse than Draco Malfoy, because you should know better.” Hermione glared harder at Ron. “I don’t want to see you at the moment, Ron.”
He loped gracelessly out of the room and slammed the door shut behind him. Hermione winced and spun around looking at Severus. She rolled her eyes and shook her head exasperatingly. She lifted a hand to his cheek.
“I’m all right,” Severus said.
“That was a powerful Sectumsempra,” Hermione said.
“I’m well aware of that, I invented the spell; remember.”
Hermione blushed as she looked down on the stone floor. Severus sighed. Before that incident with Weasley he was prepared to be honourable and to let principles apply. But not now! He had every opportunity to one up Weasley in charm and grace. He might even have a go at charming the Potter brat. He smiled at the thought that he could even make Potter like him.
Severus tilted Hermione’s chin up and looked into her honey coloured eyes. Her hair was shining, the light made it look like burnished gold. He stroked her soft cheek.
“I had every intention of being honourable,” he murmured in his soft silken voice that Hermione had always loved. “I had even decided I should not pursue you as it would not be right or proper,” he stroked aside a wisp of hair from her face. “But I find you irresistible. Principles and honour are all very well in theory but now that you are in the room I can’t get the thought of how soft and sweet your mouth was.”
Hermione felt her breath hitch in her throat and her mouth went dry all of a sudden. Last night and this morning she was sure he felt guilty about the kiss, now he was asking for more. Now he was winding his arms about her enveloping her in their warmth and bringing her closer to his body. She took a willing step forward. In truth she could not get the kiss out of her mind either. He was right! Honour and principles were only good in theory.
Her temperature had risen as her heart quickened its pace as she closed her eyes anticipating the kiss that she was sure was going to come. He leant down and she parted her mouth ever so slightly for Severus tongue to slide into hers without a barrier. He flicked his tongue across his lips before gently slipping it inside her mouth. Hermione never felt anything like it before in her entire life. It seems his tongue was skilled in other areas rather than lecturing. Hermione entwined her fingers through his hair and pushed his head closer to her so that their tongues could drown into each other’s mouths. Hermione wrapped her tongue around his as his hands pushed her flimsy summer top up her body.
“Severus,” she moaned. He took that as encouragement to go further. His hands brushed against her young, supple breasts and he felt her nipples harden at his touch. “NO!” Hermione said sharply, breaking the kiss and disentangled herself out of his embrace. “Not yet, anyway.”
“Pity,” he smirked down at her. Hermione squirmed under his lust filled gaze. She began to rethink her decision. She stepped forward so the tips of her shoes were touching the tips of his and picked up one of his large, confident hands.
“Unless you want to, of course?” she asked.
“Yes,” Severus replied. “But you are quite right. Not yet.” He brushed her lips with his and Hermione was just about to let him kiss her again when someone entered the room.
Severus looked up and Hermione turned around and groaned. Harry had caught her in the arms of Severus Snape.
“WHAT IS…?”
“Harry,” Hermione sighed. “If you are going to say what I’ve already heard from Ron, then just go to him for what I said to him. Oh, and Ron and I AREN’T boyfriend and girlfriend! And we’re never going to be.”
“YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU DUMPED RON FOR THAT BAT?”
Hermione rolled her eyes and stormed out of the room in a fiery temper. She needed to get out. She needed air to cool down her temper. She needed to go to Flourish and Blotts. She could do magic outside Hogwarts and she had her wand and apparating licence. She needed to be alone.
She was just about to apparate from the designated apparating spot when Remus ran up to her. He saw her looking determined. The fact that she now stood in a safe area to leave and on her own didn’t inspire much confidence in the Werewolf.
“Where are you going?” Remus asked her.
“Out!” she snapped. “I need to clear my head and think things through properly.”
“I’m not going to let you go on your own. Severus would hang me by the balls if I did that!”
“What?” Hermione asked.
Remus sighed. “Somehow over the past couple of days he’s begun to care a lot about what happens to you. I happen to value my virility thank you very much!”
Hermione sniggered behind her hand. “Perhaps it might be a good idea that you come with me.”
Remus nodded, and he stood next to Hermione as they apparated to Diagon Alley. Remus turned towards Hermione.
“I’ll be two steps behind you,” he said. “Close enough to keep an eye on you and far enough to give you the space you need.”
Hermione nodded. She started walking down the Alley and Remus was two steps behind.
Little did they know that they were both being watched.
^*^*^*
“Explain yourself!” Harry exclaimed, as he swung angrily towards his ex- most hated Professor. “And prey, make it interesting.”
“If you count the fact that I happen to find Hermione an extremely beautiful and intelligent woman interesting then that is all you need to know. I also have nothing more than that to explain to you, boy! No matter what I say you’ll still hate me.”
“How have you tricked her without magic?” Harry asked with a catch to his voice and his eyes hard with dislike.
Severus sighed. “Even clever muggles know all about the art of plain, simple seduction, Potter. I don’t need a magic wand or a potion to make Hermione like me.”
Harry chewed the inside of his lip whilst considering what Snape had said, it was true, Harry’s mind was already so made up that no matter how Snape presented his case he knew that it would only fuel the anger. Damn Snape! Why choose now to be reasonable?
Snape shook his head and walked past the boy in search of some quiet spot where he could think more clearly. He decided a rest in his bedroom would be in order and he walked up to his bedroom and flicked his shoes off and flopped down on the bed, his hands behind his head. What use could he be to the Order without magic?
^*^*^*
Oh this was too simple, leered Greyback. Far too simple! Like lambs to the slaughter.
Hermione had walked into Flourish and Blotts and Remus was just about to follow her in when he smelt a being that he didn’t think he would smell in civilisation. He turned around and Fenrir stood behind him leering from ear to ear. His iron-grey hair hung around his face; his mouth and chin smeared with animal grease, and Remus shuddered at the thought that Fenrir’s nose was red from blood.
“I want to talk to you, cub!” he said in that rough voice of his.
“Can’t it wait?” Remus asked.
“No,” Greyback said. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you for days. Now, I’ve finally got you.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be in Azkaban?” Remus asked. Fenrir chuckled.
“No,” he said. “You should know me better than that, Remus.” Fenrir put an arm around the younger man’s shoulders. “Now, cub let me buy you an ice cream.”
Fenrir steered an unwilling Remus towards the ice cream parlour. Fenrir bought Remus a triple chocolate two scoop. Remus was hesitant in accepting it. But he decided to, as he didn’t want to arouse this man’s suspicions.
“What do you want, Greyback?” Remus asked, cautiously licking the sweet.
“What does any man want? A mate! I have sniffed my perfect mate. By strange coincidence it happens to be the young woman that I saw walking in the bookshop,” Remus heart froze. “Now, I happen to have kidnapped your mate by accident. I’m prepared to admit it when I’ve made a mistake. I am also prepared to be reasonable. You give me Hermione, and I’ll give you Miss Tonks. Fair’s fair after all.”
Remus found himself being placed in a very difficult position. What Fenrir was effectively saying was: Where do your loyalty’s lie, Cub?
“Is Tonks with you?” Remus asked. Fenrir clicked his ragged dirty fingernails. Tonks stepped out of the alleyway, back to her normal looks.
“Don’t do it,” she mouthed. “Protect Hermione!”
Remus heart leapt at the sight of his beloved in one piece and unharmed. He knew the same wouldn’t be said of Hermione when or if he saw her again were he to take Greyback on this offer.
Hermione stepped out of Flourish and Blotts and was about to give Remus a piece of her mind when she saw Tonks, and Greyback. Even now Diagon Alley was still empty, as everyone now preferred to get their things by owl post.
She looked wildly around for a hiding place but it was too late. Fenrir sensed her presence by the flowery scent of her perfume. He turned around and any plans Remus may have had for stalling was soon wiped out.
Fenrir let go off Remus and walked up to Hermione. She took a step back and was prepared to run away before Fenrir took hold of her wrist and took it to his nose as he sniffed it. Hermione looked over his shoulder to see Remus and Tonks team up with their wands drawn. She sighed with relief; Remus wasn’t going to let her go.
“Oh yes,” he leered darkly. “This is a true Wolf Queen. She even has the thick mane for hair already.”
“Let go,” Hermione said calmly and dangerously.
“I don’t think so,” he said. He pulled her close to his grimy body. His clothes were ragged and torn. Hermione could tell that he was a very strong man. He could break her arm by a gentle twist of the wrist. His features were very strong and hard. Hermione groaned. Did this creature really lust after her?
“Do as she says, Greyback!” Remus growled.
Fenrir jeered at Remus and his little mate. He pulled Hermione forcefully to his body and pressed his cracked greasy lips against her soft clean ones.
“We’ll swap shall we?” Fenrir leered. “You got yours, and I got mine!”
He yanked Hermione closer towards his body and held her fast there as he apparated out of Diagon Alley holding his mate close to his sweat stained body.
Remus turned to Tonks, the relief he felt at Tonks good health didn’t remain for long, as worry for Hermione soon took over.
^*^*^*
Fenrir dragged her into his cave. She shuddered as she saw the cave floor littered with bones and skulls.
“Welcome home!” Fenrir exclaimed. His eyes glittered dangerously, as he stepped up closer to her. He walked around her; eyeing her up and down. “Oh yes, you are my mate!”
“I’d rather die than mate with you, scum!” she spat.
Fenrir walked around her and stood to face her and slapped her in the face for her defiance.
“You will learn to control that temper of yours, or I will have to teach you how! I will force you to remain quiet in my presence. Your primary use for me is for me to let out my sexual frustrations and, also to breed. I’ve decided to choose you for my experiment. I wish to be the start of a new Dynasty of Werewolves. With my strength and your brains we could even overtake the Dark Lord, and begin a new reign in our world, and establish a monarchy!”
He’s mad! She thought, absolutely mad! What makes him think that she’d give herself to him?
Fenrir slammed her body against the wall. He let his grimy hand slide down her body and touch her abdomen. His eyes glowed brightly.
“No time like the present, eh, my dear?” He tilted her chin up and stroked her neck. It was full moon tonight, one of those rare blue moon months and he shivered with that pleasant knowledge.
“What are you going to do?” she asked.
“Oh,” he said, as his ragged fingernails scratched at her throat drawing blood. “Getting you used to the taste of blood, because you’ll need to!”
He let some blood trickle on his finger and licked it. He scratched himself on the neck and picked up her hand and smeared her hand with his blood.
“No,” Hermione whispered. “Please, don’t do this to me!”
“Lick it!” Fenrir growled.
Hermione closed her eyes and tentatively licked some of the crimson liquid off his finger. She almost wanted to gag; the metallic taste had her stomach muscles cringing.
“That’s foul!” she exclaimed.
“Get used to it, sweetheart. This month happens to be a Blue Moon month. You know what that means? Two full moons in one month, and tonight happens to be the second one. So make yourself at home, darling. You’ll be living here for a very long time.”
Hermione cringed at the dirty scum infested cave. She could not believe that she was forced to stay here. No, she smiled. The Order would come. Wouldn’t they? If not the Order, at least Remus and Tonks would.
^*^*^*
Remus and Tonks apparated back to Grimmauld Place. “EVERYONE! EMERGENCY MEETING! NOW!” Remus yelled.
Bill, Fleur, Harry, Molly, Ginny and Severus all rushed to the main hall.
“What’s happened?” Harry asked. He noticed Tonks was with Remus and was just about to rush up to hug her before Remus stopped him.
“It’s Hermione,” Remus said. “She’s been taken. The real one.”
Severus scowled at Lupin. “How could Fenrir have taken her if she was safely ensconced somewhere in here?”
“She wasn’t,” Remus said. “She wasn’t safely ensconced here. She wanted to take a trip to Diagon Alley and I went with her. The idea was to protect her. But Fenrir was there with…!” Then it dawned on Remus. “Oh no!” his face rapidly turned from red to puce in seconds. “He managed to control my mind. Werewolves have some sort of telepathic communication... he must have used a very quiet telepathy on Hermione and me.”
“It does sound like it, doesn’t it, Lupin?” Severus asked coldly.
“Oh no!” Remus groaned. “That means that he knows I’m a spy for the Order and with the information I’ve been giving him... what the hell are we going to do?”
No one knew the answer, and no one was going to venture an opinion. They had to wait until Mad Eye Moody to come over. That wasn’t until this evening.

Hermione nodded. She started walking down the Alley and Remus was two steps behind.
Little did they know that they were both being watched.

A/N: I hope you all liked that, and there will be some serious Fenrir action in the next chapter I promise thee, my faithful reviewers.
