Troubled Past, Uncertain Future
Troubled Past Uncertain Future
Severus wasn’t sure what had awoken him, and he didn’t really want to find out given his current location. Reaching for the crystal he was shocked to realize that his clothing was walking off. Letting out an undignified screech he gathered the sheets around himself.
“Pretty Kitty must miss his armor? Can’t have that now can we? Pip will find Pretty Kitty better armor so he can see the master.” Severus couldn’t see who had spoken although he could see his pile of clothing walking away on long stick like legs.
“Hey, wait a moment you are stealing my clothing. Come back here!”
“Oh didn’t Master tell Pretty Kitty? For shame on Master keeping secrets, Pip doesn’t like secrets, Pip thinks it rude. Pip will fetch Master for Kitty.”
“No wait!” Severus’ shout didn’t stop the little goblin, leaving him naked and alone. Sighing to himself he wondered how he managed to get himself into these situations; stuck in the Underground naked in the Goblin King’s bed. He was almost positive that the Marauders were wondering in the labyrinth somewhere and that soon things would be quite interesting, especially if the king had learned about his past.
Severus had always known his was different, even among wizards. He had always thought it was because his father was a muggle while his mother was a witch. Then when his mother got sick he learned the truth of his birth. His mother had never been a very healthy person he has always thought that it was because she had to deal with his father, until one night before she passed away she called him into her room and told him all about his conception and the aftermath.
When I was banished from the Unseelie Court I was forbidden from contact with any one of either fae court. I was informed that if I was to ever contact your father they would kill me and take you to the goblins. They left me alone and without any form of magic trapped in a world I didn’t understand, that first night was the hardest night of my life. I spent three weeks wondering the streets just looking for a warm place to stay. It wasn’t easy I had to change my name and relearn everything. Most people wouldn’t spare me a look thinking I was just another knocked-up prostitute. Then one day as I was trying to get a job at the local grocery store I ran into Tobias Snape. He was the first muggle that hadn’t looked at me with scorn or pity. He offered me a job cooking and clean for him; he told me he had room enough to house me until I got on my feet. I thought it was too good to me true but I accepted anyway.
I quickly learned that he was a wealthy man by muggle standards, owning a chain of jewelry stores all over England. By this time I was almost nine months pregnant with you and it was starting to be a hassle to just get out of bed. Tobias was very understanding and told me to just rest and get ready for the baby. He supplied me with a nursery and everything a mother could want for her new born. He seemed to be such a nice man at the beginning that I fell in love with him. I had thought that there would be no one for me other than your father.
After you were born Tobias was always there to help care for you. He told me that he had come to love me and I could make him the happiest man if I would marry him and make the three of us a family. I was over come with joy and agreed right away. It was a simple ceremony with just the two of us, the priest, and a witness. I thought that I had finally found happiness. Then I learned of Tobias’ true nature. He was a drunk and abusive both physically and emotionally. I tried to get away but there was no where for me to go, I had made my life with Tobias and he knew it.
Over the year it became easier to live with him and I had him promise me that he wouldn’t hurt you. I know my time here is getting short I think that I have been slowly dying since they took my magic and left me here to rot. Don’t cry my sweet Severus for if it wasn’t for you my life would have been meaningless. I want you to promise me you will do great things with your life and you will not let that man get you down. You are made for greatness and I want you to remember that I will always love you and wish things could have been different but I always wanted you.
After that night Eileen Snape passed away. Those that still remembered her in the Unseelie Court mourned the passing of Lady Wesla. Severus tried to follow his mother’s dying wishes but it was hard with his father constantly trying to shove him down in the dirt and then the marauders doing the same at school. He eventually faded into the shadow since it was easier. Now though he was pulled from the shadows by a Goblin King who seemed determine to bring him out of his shell.

Jareth was sick of following the rules. He was tired of watching stupid fools run the maze. Most of all he was angry that the Unseelie Court could fuck up everything without even trying. He had never liked the court and now he had even less respect for the blasted thing.
With Severus being the son of an exiled fae he would never be accepted into the Underground. It didn’t matter about any of the details the goblins didn’t want anything to do with exiles, Jareth’s own case notwithstanding. There was no way around it he would have to send Severus back or face turning him into a goblin. Unless … No there was no way the Unseelie Court would agree to letting Jareth take Severus on as bonded mate. If only it were that easy.
Sitting heavily behind his desk Jareth conjured a crystal to look in on his sleeping captive. He was amused by the exchange between Severus and Pip, one of his more spirited followers. Becoming more serious he wondered what thoughts could put such an intense look on Severus’ face and create such a sad psyche. He would have to talk to the boy late for now he had to deal with Pip and the Marauders, who up until now he hadn’t given much thought to. Of course he would rather be playing with a certain black haired beauty, preferably with said beauty chained to his bed. That would just have to wait until he got everything else taken care of first.
~Okay this is another boring chapter, but I have to get all the background information out of the way for the good stuff. I wanted to get this out a hell of a lot sooner but life got in the way. Thanks to all how have reviewed and especially to Juno for the lovely pic.
