Failed Break-in at the British Library!
A recent attempted break in at the British Library was discovered yesterday by the Daily Profit. The British library which was only completed a few years ago was the Ministry for Magical Manuscript Maintenance’s attempt to restore and house many old and new wizarding texts in order to ensure that the knowledge they contain does not become lost.
This highly commendable aim has been jeopardised by the recent events at the library. Four days ago guards were highly alarmed when the shields which protect and guard the catalogue, ‘Extremely Rare and Dangerous Texts,’ was partially shattered. The shields in place were some of the strongest and most complex that modern magic has to offer; yet they were severely damaged by the attempt. Guards describe the cause as, “a truly stupendous blast of magic,” that, “seemed to tear the shields apart.” It was only by blind luck that part of the shield remained to block the apparition of any persons, or the removal of any books. A truly lucky escape for the Ministry.
Although there has been no official statement concerning the identity of the persons behind this attempt, the recent re-appearance of he-who-must-not-be-named cannot be seen as a coincidence. Last years break in at the Ministry of Magic seems to indicate a trend, and one which the Ministry is refusing to recognise or deal with.
