Chapter 6
Day 3: Quidditch
Gryffindor was playing against Slytherin and Hermione was playing with Snape. (Get your minds out of the gutter. She is just tormenting him!)
Poor Snape was sitting in the stands with the other Professors, waiting for the match to begin. He was relieved that today was Saturday, which meant no students and no Granger. He was just beginning to let himself relax when -
“Precious-Little-Sevvie-kins!” squeaked Hermione who strolled over and took a seat next to him, “Thank you for saving me a seat!”
“Oh gods!” he looked at her, “What are you doing here?”
“I invited her,” said Albus who was seated behind them. Snape looked at Albus and gave him one of his patent death glares. Then he turned back to Hermione.
“Go sit somewhere else!” he hissed.
Hermione grabbed his arm and hooked her arm around it as she turned to the other teachers, “Isn’t he just the cutest little thing you have ever seen?” She gave him a squeeze while his colleagues continued giggling.
“You will pay for this Miss Granger!” he whispered.
“Let me help you and it ends now,” she whispered back.
“NO!” he hissed.
As the Slytherin Quidditch team flew by, she stood up and yelled “DON’T WORRY SIR! I WILL PROTECT YOU FROM THOSE NASTY LITTLE SLYTHERIN GIRLS!” Hastily Snape grabbed her and pulled her back down.
She grabbed one of his hands and began to inspect his nails, stating loudly, “They’re filthy, Severus! Not to mention you’ve been biting them again - ”
He quickly snatched his hand out of hers, brought it to the bridge of his nose and pinched it. Closing his eyes he muttered, “I am in hell!”
“There, there, Sevvie-kins,” she patted him on the shoulder, “You’ll get your Order of Merlin someday, I’m sure.”
Abruptly, he stood up and left the stadium. Hermione looked back at Dumbledore who winked and gave her an approving nod.
Day 4: The Great Hall
During dinner on Sunday, the Great Hall was filled with students and staff. Fortunately for Hermione, Snape was one of the last ones to arrive since she had placed a few additional wards on his doors.
As soon as he entered the Great Hall, the entire Gryffindor table said, “Da-da-da-dum!\' in deep voices as he passed by their table. The Hufflepuffs and Raveclaws answered back, “Dum!”
He walked past the Gryffindor table, past the High Table and right out the side-door without stopping or looking back. He was not about to let the entire school be entertained at his expense.
Day 5: Double Potions
Before class started, Hermione saw Snape in the hall, talking to Professor Dumbledore. She walked up to them and seductively looked at Snape.
“You stay out of my dreams, you master of temptation, you,” she winked and left, leaving Snape dumbfounded and Albus laughing.
When class started, Albus gave Snape the ultimatum of letting her back in class or tutoring her one-to-one, so Hermione was sitting in the regular seat with a big smile on her face.
He scowled at her then began class with a lecture. About thirty minutes into the lecture, he noticed that Hermione had fallen asleep. An evil grin came over his face as he glided over to her, standing directly behind her.
“WAKE UP MISS GRANGER!” he yelled at her, expecting to scare her, but instead she slowly raised her head.
Mumbling loud enough for the class to hear, “Severus, dear, come back to bed,” and she laid her head back down. Everybody was laughing and he cursed himself for falling into her trap.
As they began to brew their potions, he cautiously circled the room, observing. When he came remotely close to Hermione, he retreated in the opposite direction.
“Neville\" Ron suddenly shouted when Neville’s potion began to smoke. Snape quickly came over to see what Longbottom had done this time.
“It’s going to explode!” yelled Hermione as she dove behind Snape and hid under his robes.
“Miss Granger!” he yelled, trying to grab her, but at that same moment,
“BOOM!” Neville’s cauldron exploded, covering everybody with slime giving everybody a rash, except for Hermione who had been protected by Snape’s robes.
At the end of class, everybody was covered with a blue salve to sooth their skin and heal the rash. It would take a couple of hours to work. The students left along with Hermione, but not before she handed Snape a card:

Snape took the report card and disintegrated it with a wave of his wand.
Later that evening when the rashes finally healed, the seventh year Gryffindors and Slytherins, along with Snape were able to wipe off the blue salve. Hermione entered the Great Hall and with a big grin she walked up to the High Table asking in a loud whisper, “How is that rash Professor? Is it still burning?” as she winked at him. “I’m just glad that I used protection!” The professors were giggling at the obvious implications she made.
By the look Snape gave her, she knew she was close to breaking him. ‘Just one more day,’ she thought.
