One Last Chance

Chapter Five

Ginny and Draco both apparated to the edge of Hogsmeade village.Ginny was about to ask where they were going to when Draco grabbed her hand and dragged her towards Honeydukes.

"Why in here?"Ginny asked,silently happy he chose there.Honeydukes had always been her favourite shop here in the village.She had quite a large sweet tooth.

"I want to see your face when you step inside."Draco said,a hint of a smile on his face.Just before they stepped inside the little shop,Draco covered Ginny's eyes with his hands and led her in.

Ginny let out a squeal of excitement when Draco uncovered her eyes.The shop looked more delicious than ever.There were walls and walls of bubble gum,blood lollies,sugar quills and fudge.It even looked as if they had some new candies.

Ginny stole a glance at Draco to find him staring intently at her,a smile on his face.The first real smile she'd seen him wear for years.

"It's so nice to see you smile."Ginny commented,touching Draco's cheek.

"Only for you,Gin."Draco replied,making Ginny give him a shy smile.

'What am I doing?' Ginny asked herself silently.'Could I be falling for him all over again?'She shook off these thoughts as Draco took her hand again and led her over to the sugar quills.

"Flavoured sugar quills?"Ginny asked,reading the label on her favourite treats.Draco nodded his head when Ginny stared at him,giving him puppy dog eyes.

"Get however much of whatever you want,today's on me."Draco told her,receiving yet another child-like smile from her.

Ginny and Draco spent nearly an hour in Honeydukes.Ginny kept questioning the cashier about all the new flavours and candies.She spend nearly fifteen minutes at each wall,deciding what she wanted.Draco stood off to the side,being very quiet as Ginny blew the last of his money in the candy shop.

After Honeydukes,Ginny and Draco stood outside,contemplating where to go next when Ginny's stomache grumbled.Draco laughed half heartedly.

"Three Broomsticks it is!"He said,leading the way.The two chose a booth at the very back,coincidentally the same one the two had sat at last time when Ginny had been pregnant for Trixie.The two ordered a meal,after Draco reassured Ginny the price didn't matter and sat and waited for Madam Rosmerta to bring them their food.

The two sat in silence,the silence stretching and making it more and more uncomfortable.

"Is it just me,"Ginny began,snapping Draco out of his thoughts."or is this seeming more and more like our first date?"

"What!?"Draco exclaimed,nearly falling out of the booth.

"This is just like our first date when I was pregnant and you insisted to pay for everything but it wasn't a date.First we went to Honeydukes,then here,then we kissed,then you ran off on me and wouldn't talk to me until Chirstmas when I broke my hand in the Slytherin bathroom."Ginny explained,trying not the laugh at the shocked look on Draco's face.

"No,"Draco asked firmly."you're with Potter,remember?"This got Ginny thinking.

"If I wasn't with Harry,would this be a date?"

"Of course not,"Draco answered a little too quickly,earning himself a look from Ginny."I mean,I don't have feelings for you anymore,if that's what you're asking."Ginny search Draco's eyes,trying to tell if he was lying.After a few moments she decided he wasn't and took his answer as the truth.

Ginny decided to drop the awkward topic and chose something else to talk about.She hated dwelling in the past.

"Getting off that topic,what have you been up to the past two years,Draco?I would have liked to hear from you."Draco shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Nothing really,basically being a slave to my father."He answered.Ginny felt bad for him,she remembered his father quiet well.She thought of him to be an evil man and guessed Draco leaving her was his doing.

Madam Rosmerta arrived then with their food.She was just about to leave them to eat when Draco stopped her.

"Could you also bring us a bottle of Firewhiskey?"He asked,earning a look from Ginny.

"Right away."Madam Rosmerta smiled then went to fetch the bottle.Draco noitced the look Ginny was giving him and shrugged.

"What?"Ginny sighed.Did he have no morals?

"It's barely noon and you're ordering us alcohol."Ginny stated.

"It's never too early for some Firewhiskey."Draco replied non-challantly.

"Do you realized I have a baby to go home to?I get be getting drunk while I'm out.What would my mother think?"She asked.Her mother would most definately not approve of her drinking with Draco in the middle of the day.

"What happened to the party girl Ginny I used to know and-"Draco began but stopped himself.

"And what?"Ginny asked,feeling a smile creep onto her face.Was he going to say love?

"Hang around with,"He answered quickly."you remember the fun,party girl Ginny don't you?She was hot."A smirk made it's way onto Draco's face,making her feel hot.Why did that blasted smirk always do that to her?

"I've grown up,"Ginny answered simply."and it's time you should too."Draco made a disgusted face as Madam Rosmerta brought them their alcohol.Draco poured two glasses and held one infront of Ginny's face.

"Come on,"He said waving it under her nose so she could smell the strong scent.Blimey,she wanted to drink it."just this once?"

Ginny thought for a moment.Should she?She shouldn't...but,if she just had one glass it would shut Draco up and she wouldn't get drunk.Yes,that would work.

Ginny grabbed the glass out of Draco's hand and downed it in one chug.

"Thatta girl!"Draco said happily,chugging his down as well.Ginny held her glass up to him.

"One more."She said,signalling him to pour her another.Draco obliged and poured her another glass as well as one for himself.

"Cheers."He said,raising his glass to her.Ginny knocked her glass into his and downed her's in one mouthful again.

After three more glasses of Firewhiskey Ginny was having trouble seeing.Her vision was blurred and it was becoming increasingly more difficult to stay still.Draco chuckled when as he watched her down her fifth glass.

"Whaso funny?"Ginny asked,slurring her words.Draco shooked his head.

"It's really been a while since you've drank,huh?"He asked her,going in and out of focus.

"Remember tha Halloween when we got drunk and-"Ginny looked all around to make sure no one was listening."had sex?"she whispered loudly.Draco nodded.

"Not the actual night but yes."He replied.

"Tha wassthe lasttime I ever ever drank."She told him,animating her words causing Draco to laugh again.

"Then it has been a while."Ginny nodded,then suddenly stopped and stared at him,all serious.

"I wan somore."She told him,holding out her glass.Draco sighed.

"Last one,I'm barely even buzzing yet."He told her,pouring her another glass.She sat there for a moment before she realized her glass was full again.

"Did yousee tha?"She asked,amazed.Draco smirked,causing her to bite her lip.She had to keep her restrained.

"What?"He asked,playing along.

"It refilled isself!"The look on her face was priceless.Her eyes were all wide and glossy and her mouth was open in surprised.It made Draco burst out laughing,which she didn't notice.

"Hey Drakie-wakie?"She asked,going all quiet.

"Yes Ginny-winny?"Draco asked.Ginny shushed him.

"Do you ever think about-"She looked around again."us?"Draco raised his eyebrows at her.

"'Us'?"

"'Cause I do,"She admitted."I think abou you an me...tha romance...an the sex.Oh,tha sex!"Draco smiled to himself.

"The sex was great."He told her.

"Oh yeah,"Ginny said,smiling,then her smile faded."did you miss me?"

"You didn't go anywhere."Draco answered,confused.Ginny giggled.

"No silly.Did you miss me when you wenaway?"Draco's smirk disapeared.

"Yeah,I did,"He admitted,staring into the depths of his glass of Firewhiskey."like crazy."This made Ginny smile.So he had missed her.

Suddenly Ginny got an odd look on her face.She felt her stomach do a flip-flop and clutched it,feeling nauseaous.

"I don feel sagood,"She said,standing up and nearly falling.Draco stood up and grabbed onto Ginny's elbow.He led her outside so as not to attract attention."I think I'mma gonna throw up."

"Come on,"Draco said,leading her behind the Three Broomsticks.There was a large dumpster back there and he figured he'd save her the shame of being sick in public.As soon as they got behind the pub,Ginny got down on her hands and knees and began to vomit.Draco sat down beside her and held her long,red hair back for her.

"I'm so sorry."Ginny cried,tears streaming down her face.

"Shh,no,don't be."Draco told her,rubbing her back.Ginny was sick for a few minutes,but then it stopped.She was left panting and weak.She collapsed onto Draco.He pushed some stray strands of hair away from her sweaty,pale face.

"Just lay down here for a few moment,then we'll get back home."Draco reassured her.Ginny gave him a weak smile.

"Thanks."She told him,closing her eyes and enjoying the slight breeze.
