I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Chapter 6 of 7
Chapter 6 of 7
Disclaimer: All characters, original story plot, etc. are the creation of one of my favorite authors, J. K. Rowling. They do not belong to me however much I wish it were so. If they were one of the events in The Order of the Phoenix and most of The Half-Blood Prince would never have happened . (I love you, Padfoot!) I have merely borrowed them in a twisted attempt to amuse myself and hopefully a few others. Lawyers, please be aware I have no money should you or your client decide to litigate. The only thing I own outright is my collection of Rock, Metal and Alternative Rock CDs, and NO, you cannot take them. (A few aren’t even mine.) If you’re nice I might let you borrow one, though I doubt it if you’re trying to sue.
I finish the salad and dinner is ready. Worried that Draco had yet to return I make a plate for him, set a stay warm charm on it, and carry it to the library. I knock and tell him loudly there’s food at the door. I walk swiftly to the game room and play a boring game of billiards. I don’t know why I have a pool table. It’s no fun playing alone. An hour goes by.
I select a DVD from the extensive collection in the media room and watch ‘Interview with a Vampire’ for the millionth time. Lestat reminds me of Draco. Both are Brat Princes and gorgeous blond hunks. I see a piece of Louis in me, both of us drowning in the delicious angst of our good versus evil sides.
When the movie ends I start to get really concerned. Draco still hasn’t come out of the library. I know he hasn’t because I can occasionally hear him moving around. I adore my Vampire senses!
Filled with nervous energy I decide to swim it off. Clad only in a pair of black shorts I dive into the heated water. My mind conjures scenarios of Draco rejecting me as I do laps. Draco, furious, slaps me for not telling him what the Bond entailed. Draco, crying, leaving quietly without a word goodbye. Draco scared at becoming another Bond statistic. I groan as hope ebbs in the relative silence of the house. ‘Maybe I’ll drown myself,’ I think sarcastically as I move underwater. /You don’t have to breathe. It won’t work, idiot,/ a voice in my head states. It sounds remarkably like Draco.
I surface to a pair of bare feet on the tiles before me. Raising my eyes I take in the former Slytherin’s cool demeanor.
“Dry off and meet me in the living room.” He turns and walks away.
Heart heavy with dread I mutter the drying incantation, pull on my discarded blue jeans and black T-shirt, and follow.
What I see when I enter the den baffles me. Red rose petals litter the floor. A bowl of raspberries and two glasses of wine wait on the coffee table. Draco closes my hanging mouth and points to the couch. I sit.
The blond kneels before me and takes hold of my hands. “Thank you so much for giving me that to read. It made my decision easier.” At my questioning look he says, “I’m sorry I took so long. I didn’t think it would be fair to either of us unless I knew more about Vampires as a whole. Hogwarts was severely lacking in information I found the further I read. I just managed to finish the entire book. I noticed something I bet you haven’t about that Veela and Juliet.”
“What?”
“The Veela only did a Body Bond. He didn’t love Seri or he wouldn’t have cheated on her. Juliet fucked up when she didn’t tell Romeo more about her race. If she had he would’ve realized she would be fine and wouldn’t have committed suicide.”
“Actually I did. That’s why I suggested you read it.”
“Ah, but you didn’t get the point of it all.”
“Which is?”
“Vampires cannot bond with Wizards successfully.” At my angry denial he shushed me. “I’m not finished. Samuel, I may have a long life ahead of me but eventually I will die of old age. You’ll stay young forever while I grow as grey and senile as Dumbledore. It’ll never work that way.”
I hang my head, my worst fears confirmed. “You want to leave.”
“No. I’m saying I want to be with you forever, not just the next seventy-five or one hundred years. Turn me into a Vampire.”
I can’t contain the gasp of horror that escapes. “You have no clue what you’re asking.”
“I do, Samuel. I know about the Bloodlust and how dangerous I’ll be. But with you to guide me I’ll manage.”
“I cannot. You don’t realize---”
“What I realize is that I love you and want to spend eternity with you,” he bites out, angry. He moves away. “I guess you don’t.”
I pull the morose man into my arms and smother him with kisses. “I just want you to be sure.”
“I can truthfully say I am.”
Searching his mind I see no doubt, only love and a desire to be with me. “Okay, my beautiful one. Never let it be said I denied you anything in my power to give you.”
He laughs at this and leads me into our bedroom for that is how I think of it now. “Come on. Do it,” he says huskily, climbing into the center of the massive bed.
“Now?”
“When better to start a life together, especially an immortal one?”
“I completely agree.” I lower my mouth to his neck and bite sharply. His hiss of pleasured pain is music to my ears. I drink deeply. Energy and magic crackle in the air between and around us. The Heart Bond has been completed. I drain Draco to the point of death before biting my wrist and offering it to his pale rose-colored lips. He latches on and I reel at the sensation. In moments I’m hard. My Adonis grows stronger and I snatch my hand away. His pout turns to lust as I remove our clothes and bend to nip the skin near his groin and drink, stroking him all the while.
I lose count of the number of times we have exchanged blood and how many hours have passed. We rest periodically only to begin anew. Night turns to day and returns to night. Exhausted and emotionally spent we sleep.
A loud groan of pain slips past my unconscious state and I immediately pull Draco closer. “It’s only your body dying, love. Don’t worry. I’m here.” I sprinkle soft kisses over his tightly closed eyes. “I have an idea. Let’s get in the hot tub. That may help.”
I lift him gently and carry him to the bathroom. Lowering him into the warm water I marvel at the change in his appearance. His body, already fit, ripples with lean muscles. His face appears even more handsome and several years younger. The sexy streaked hair of sun and moonlight sparkles with otherworldly radiance. He smiles at my perusal and I catch my breath. The simple act has bewitched me. His once grey eyes have turned to liquid silver. His beauty ensnares me.
Another moan jerks me out of the spell. I move behind him and soothe his aches and pains away by massaging the areas I know from experience hurt worst. I use wandless magic to clean the tub frequently to save him embarrassment as his body rids itself of impurities. Eventually the shakes and tremors leave him. I bathe us both in the falls and return to bed with him nestled beside me.
He is mine in every way now as I am his. Love and contentment wash over me as I gaze at his sleeping form. “Sleep well, my Dragon. Tomorrow you train.”
