Chapter Five

Author\'s notes: Ok, here is the new chapter. Now, I have something to say, (oh no, here it comes) there is something that Harry is going to do in this chapter that might make people mad at me. It does involve Witchcraft. Now, it may not be a problem, because it is not one for me, but there it is. It is the only way that I can explain what and how Harry does what he does. Now, if anyone has a problem, and I mean a BIG one, please to save you the trouble, e-mail me at: dark_gambit_16@hotmail.com and I will respond to whatever you have to say. :) I am a very friendly and open person, so what ever it is, and I hope it won\'t be a flame, let me know, and we can deal with it k? Ok. Now that I have said everything, and probably turned a lot of people off ;), here\'s the new chapter.

Chapter Five

The light of the waxing moon illuminated the faces of Harry and his friends. The night was chilly, cold wind ruffling their hair. Harry closed his eyes for a few moments, and when he opened them, Hermione saw his bright green eyes lit with an inner glow. He put his satchel on the ground and opened it to take out the necessary things he needed for the spell.
He took out five black tapered candles, an urn with strange markings on its surface, and a large vial of a dark red liquid. Ron gulped, but said nothing more. Harry stood and took off his outer robes to reveal a robe that reminded Hermione of the Death Eater garb. She glanced at Ron, Fred, and George in fear. They didn’t really know what was going to happen tonight, but at least they will be there if something went wrong. Harry pulled up the hood and passed out the black candles to each person, instructing them where to kneel. Fred kneeled on the left side of the grave, across from George, nearest the headstone. Ron and Hermione were across from each other, each of them holding the candles in their clammy hands. Harry kneeled at the foot of the grave, and with a wave of his wands amidst gasps, the candles lighted. He bent over and held his candle to the ground, pointing his wand at it and saying, “Adheso.”
He then took the urn and placed it on the grave. He uncorked the vial, “Osris, ruler of the dead, hear our call.” As he poured the vial’s contents into the urn, a great gust of wind blew through the graveyard, chilling them to the bone, Harry seemed to be the only one not affected. The moon crawled behind a cloud, and Harmione couldn’t see a thing. She looked down at her candle and found it was extinguished, smoke curling up from the blackened wick.
A bad omen...

It was warm inside the Great Hall, the two men sitting in the corner finding it stifling. Remus and Sirius watched as James talked to the rest of the Order, sipping quietly from their goblets. Every now and then, they would see Dumbledore glance up through the window , observing the moon. It wasn’t full yet, but the light it gave was noticeable. Only a short while ago, a great gust of wind blew through the hall and extinguished the candles. Everyone seemed to get a bad feeling, and without the light from the moon, it was pretty dark.
Sirius and Remus exchanged glances, each knew what the other was thinking. He had a bad feeling as they left the house, now it was magnified. He searched through the hall, finding indistinct shapes, and not one of them matching the childrens’. He quietly morphed into a dog as Remus followed him out of the hall.
As the door to the castle was closed, the black dog was bombarded with scents. The refreshing scent of rain, sweet smell of the grass, and the sharp tang of blood. He put his wet nose in the air and breathed deeply, trying to locate the scent. He choked slightly as the smell intensified, and he started running in the direction it came from, fear burning his blood, his concern over the children’s safety overridding everything else.

The knife sliced deep into Harry’s palm, he made a fist to squeeze more drops of his blood into the urn. He looked at his friends’ faces, as if seeing right through them. As the blood dripped steadily into the clay container, his eyes closed. He took a deep breath, “Hailto the Goddess of the North, dearest Hestia, power of mother and Earth. Hear me.”
He took some of the dirt from the grave and emptied it into the urn, “Hail to the Goddess of the East, mighty Hera, power of air and invention. Hear me.”
His call was answered by a great gust of wind which blew across the urn’s mouth, resulting in a mournful tone. Harry whispered to the tip of his wand, “Lumnos.” Holding it high above his head he called, “Hail to the Goddess of the South, sweet Aphrodite, power of passion and fire. Hear me!” He plunged the tip into the urn, the contents started to bubble steadliy.
Harry’s eyes closed once again, “Hail to the Goddess of the West, great Diana, power of water and wisdom. Hear me.” He smiled faintly as the clouds let loose their rain, the urn sizziling softly with each drop.
“Powerful Osiris, ruler of death and resurrection, I implore you to bring forth one so noble of the Goddesses. I invoke thee, bring back to life this innocent victim of hatred and violence, one who will bring to justice the one who has dodged your grasp.”
Harry’s arms suddenly stretched out, forming a small ‘t’. Small cuts slashed across his arms and chest, bleeding steadilyinto the ground, soaking the earth over the grave. Ron moved to get up, but Hermione put a hand on his shoulder and mouthed, “No.” The urn started to crack and broke in two. Another gust of wind blew past, unnaturally cold, sounding like a sigh.
Harry fell into Fred’s arms, too weak at the moment to move. He looked up at them, “Its over.”
Hermione gasped, looking over Harry’s shoulder. The young man turned to see what made her gasp, and his eyes widened. Sirius and Remus stood, looking horrified at the small group. Sirius eyes flickered to the urn, and the to Harry. In a low voice he uttered, “What did you do?”

Muscle and sinew threaded around the rapidly repaired bones. Blood pounded through the new veins, the heart beating a staccato rhythum to make the blood flow faster through the threadlike veins. Newly formed eyes filled with long awaiting tears, ears rang with the sounds coming from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Hair grew long and full, teeth breaking through pink gums. Air filled the burning lungs, stretching the tissue violently. All these things happened in a split-second, the end result being the body of Severus Snape.
A very confused, shocked Severus.
The stale air in the enclosed space was swealtering, having the sweet smell of decay. Frantic and scratched and pushed against the aged wood, it soon gave way to damp, fresh dirt. He kicked and dug to get back to the surface, crazed as he was to breathe. A part of him wondered why he was underneathe the ground, the thought quickly squashed compared to all the emotions running through him at the moment.
It seemed to take an eternity to get to the surface.

The children scrambled away from the grave as a soil covered hand broke through the surface. It seemed as thought they were watching a bizarre birth; following the hand was arms, shoulders, a dirt covered head, and the rest of the body as the arms propelled the weight. Remus moved forward and helped up the trembling man. Long, ivory, elegant hands wrapped around the werewolf’s forearms as his long legs straightened. The head was cast down, looking at the ground and his feet, shoulders hunched, as if trying to get his bearings. As the moon broke through the spent clouds, the shoulders straightened, and the head inclined.
The meager light of the moon illuminated the haggard, gaunt face of Severus Snape.

Yes, its very short, but the next one will be a pretty BIG one. You can thank my muse for that :D. My bleeding hand hates her, but she does what she can ;) REVIEW ME!!
