Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Lessons
Okay, another kinda interim chapter, just to show you were the story is leading. Thanks to all my reviewers once again.
Chapter Six
Finally he looked at his schedule and first up was double transfiguration with the Gryffindors. ‘Great, jus great, my first class and I have both my old head of house and my old house-mates. This is sooo not going to be good.’
As predicted, the class ended up with Harry losing twenty points from Slytherin and a detention for punching Seamus Finnegan in the stomach. But Harry did feel it was well deserved as Finnegan had tried to turn him into some type of small furry creature. Thank Merlin the boy had very little talent. Hermione was the only Gryffindor who didn’t have something awful to say, but her questioning stares had really begun to bother him by about halfway through the class. But he knew that without the protection he got from the other Slytherins, it would have been at least twice as bad. Professor McGonagall seemed to take his change of house personally, as a direct take at her professional attitude.
Thought he lesson was, in his mind, an absolute waste, he was clearly excited by the prospect of a potions lesson in which he was not belittled. He and Draco walked the path to the dungeons chatting away about what they were going to learn this year from Snape’s tutelage (of course Harry would share his experiences with his friend). Harry began a list in the back of his head, beginning with smaller curses and leading to the unforgivables, something he knew without a doubt that Severus could teach him, his visions showing him of the mans prowess in that particular area. They reached the classroom a few minutes early so Harry pulled out some parchment and began writing his list down. When he had finished he handed the list to Draco.
“Do you think there is anything I missed?’
“Well, you covered most of it but I think we should add a few just for fun...” Draco began writing a few suggestions and then handed it back to Harry.
Below the list, which included pretty much everything now from the slashing curse to one that would behead a person, the unforgivables and poisons, Draco’s perfect penmanship was seen (even the ink looked expensive). He had written two suggestions:
Foreplay charms
Hallucinogenic potions
Harry could only laugh, although he had serious doubts that Severus would find it as amusing as he did. On top of the list he wrote ‘Tonight, after dinner, your private rooms, call me back after class so I can get the password.’ He folded it carefully, sealed it with wax, and once the usual wards were placed on the parchment (it would bite anyone who was not the recipient that tried to read it) carefully put it on the professor’s desk.
The other students slowly filled the classroom, Professor Snape slamming the doors behind him just as the last student took their sear.
“Get your textbooks, page one hundred and fifty six. Read it now”
Obviously this class was Slytherins only, making the potions teacher less aggressive. He sat at his desk watching as all the students started reading before he opened the missive he found there. As he read the list his eyebrows seemed to go further towards his hairline, his shock at the boy’s choices evident. Of course, when he reached the last two items on the list he nearly choked. It may have been Draco’s handwriting but who would’ve thought the boy had it in him to keep them on the list. Of course, by his Lord’s instruction he was not able to refuse the boys wishes and if anything he was rather pleased the intelligence the boy had shown. He looked up to see familiar green eyes staring at him and gave the boy a small nod.
“Mr. Potter, see me after class”
The rest of the day was rather uneventful, no more double classes meaning no problems for Harry. But throughout all of it, he could not help but be excited about the meeting he had planned for tonight.
