WOOHOO!! the return of the crappy title!! buahahahahaha
lol sorry about the long wait darlings but my get up and go just packed its bags and buggered off to australia.... stupid thing
it's back though so you get this chapter... all be it a short one
ummm... i've kinda drafted up the very last chapter.... but enough of that

a lot of people commented on harry's falling over and how it was a bit weird since he could fight severus blind and all that
so heres the low down
harry is very acutely aware of things around him when he's fighting blind but even the most highly trained person can have an off day
i have pretty good balance but lately i think someone stole my inner ear as i can be stood perfectly still then i'll nearly fall over!! [it's gettin kinda irratating now!] so it was purely an off moment
think turning too fast and losing your balance and that caused him to fall onto sev's staff
does it make more sense now?

“HOLY SHIT!” came a shout, echoing off the walls of the hospital wing. Luckily, there were no other patients.

As they’d come through the floo, Harry had experienced the same nauseating disorientation as usual, loosing his footing and falling over as soon as they stepped out the other side, dragging Severus with him. As they’d fallen to the floor in a tangle of limbs, Severus’ elbow had caught him in the side, driving the wind from him again and pretty much making the pain potion redundant.

“Oh god,” he whimpered, take short, shallow breaths as the fire flashed again and Draco stepped though the floo.

Carefully he helped Severus get Harry over to a bed as Poppy came bustling out of her office, a stern glare fixed on them.

“Just what have you done this time Mr Potter and why on earth are you making such a racket in my infirmary?” said asked as she walked over to them.

“He did it,” Harry moaned, pointing at Severus.

“What did you do to him?” the mediwitch asked, fixing the Potions Master with another glare.

“We were training when he tripped and fell onto the end of the staff. I should think that he’s most likely broken a rib or two,” Severus said as he ran a hand over Harry’s back to try and alleviate at least a little of the pain.

“How on earth did you manage that? Was it not big enough for you to see?” she asked as she ran scans on him before turning to collect various potions from a nearby cabinet.

“I was… blindfolded,” he gasped as he breathed in a little too deeply.

The look on her face was priceless, making Harry and Draco laugh out loud, the former immediately regretting it as pain lanced through him again, making him gasp and clutch at his side.

“Oh god that hurts!” he whined.

“Well we’ll have you fixed in a jiffy,” Poppy said as she began to pop the corks out of the three bottles she was holding, handing each one of them to him in turn.

“Can’t have that, I’ve already had one. Some great lump fell on me though,” he said as she handed him a pain relief potion, glaring at Severus and giving Poppy back the potion.

“Very well. The others should get to work in about half an hour then you’ll be free to go. No strenuous activity for the next day or so though, understand? The site of the break will still be fragile.”

“Ok,” he said as he was handed the final potion, choking it down with a grimace at the horrible taste. “Why can’t you make these damn things taste any better?!” he asked Severus.

“Adding something to improve the taste would negate the effects of the potion. After all the training I gave you last year you should know that,” Severus said with a pointed stare as Poppy left to add yet more information to Harry’s records.

“That’s not the point,” he grimaced as he tried to lie down and get comfortable.

“You know this is still really weird,” Draco said, watching the two of them as Severus fluffed up the pillow behind Harry.

“Huh?”

“You and Uncle Severus.”

“Oh god, I just thought of something. When we get married, I won’t become your Uncle or anything will I? That would just be weird,” he said.

“Wait, married?! You never told me that!” Draco yelped.

“Where did you think I got this, a cracker?” Harry said as he pointed to the ring on his finger.

“Oh bloody hell, where’s it going to end?” the blonde groaned as he sat down heavily in one of the chairs next to the bed, dropping his head into his hands.

“Sorry but I think that’s the last bombshell,” he grinned.

“Oh I do hope so.”

Just then Ron and Hermione walked into the room, making their way over to his bed.

“Are you fixed yet?” Ron asked with a smile.

“I will be in about twenty minutes. I’m not going to be able to kick your ass for a couple of days though, but I’m sure Draco wouldn’t mind. You can start showing him the ropes while I’m on the bench.”

“That sounds fine with me, what about it Ferret?”

“Sure thing Weasel.”

“The year just keeps getting more and more interesting,” Hermione sighed.

“You know I live to make your life interesting Mione, nothing gives me more pleasure… actually, I take that back,” he said with a smile as he looked at Severus.

“Ewww! Don’t you corrupt my girlfriend,” Ron said.

“Don’t worry she was corrupted long before I started on her,” he grinned.

“I was not!” she objected.

“Liar,” Harry said, sticking out his tongue.

“Enough! Just ignore him Miss Granger, he is acting like an imbecilic child,” Severus said.

“Hey! You’re supposed to be nice to me, after all it’s your fault I’m in this mess,” Harry said with a pout.

“I’m sure you’ll survive.”

“Yeah, but your bed’s going to be pretty cold for a while if you're not careful. You heard what Poppy said, no strenuous exercise or activity. Looks like it’s just going to be just you and your hand for the rest of the week,” he said with an exaggerated sigh and a sly grin.

“Oh too much! I’m going back to the dorms,” Ron said, his ears turning red as he grabbed hold of Hermione’s hand and dragged her from the room.

“Was it something I said?” he asked innocently, making Draco laugh.

“I should go as well before people start asking where I am,” the blonde said, getting up from the chair.

“Ok. Come by tomorrow if you can, same time, same place. Ron will start showing you some of the basics.”

“I’ll try.”

“Night Draco.”

“Night Harry, Uncle Severus.”

“Good night Draco,” Severus said as the other young man left the room.

“I suppose I should go back soon as well,” Harry said, suddenly feeling tired.

“Ok. I’ll leave you in Poppy’s capable hands for now,” he said, smoothing back the silky raven coloured hair to place a gentle kiss on Harry’s forehead.

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” he said, stifling a yawn.

“Don’t be long before you go back will you?”

“I won’t. Love you.”

“I love you too,” he said, leaving by the floo.
