Soul Bond

“Where’s Draco?” Harry demanded when he arrived and saw Hermione standing by the side of the building wringing her hands and looking frightened. He turned in the seat and said to Siri, “Sit tight for a moment. I need to talk to Aunt Mione.” He jumped out of the truck and slammed the door shut.

“He went to the hospital that they took Arabella Figg to. He said he would come back here and to wait for him.”

“When did he leave?”

“Right after he hung up the phone from talking to you. The Aurora’s are obliviating everyone right now. I guess a couple of people saw Lestrange apparate with Lilly, and then Draco when he went to the hospital.”

“Damn!” Harry said in frustration. There would be a ton of paperwork to fill out and of course the fines for apparating in front of a Muggle. “Mione, I need you to drive the kids home. Draco said that Molly would be here, and I’m actually surprised that she isn’t here now. She can help with the kids until we get back. I gave Zozo the night off.”

Hermione nodded her head and absently rubbed her belly. She had three and a half months to go and was already tired of being pregnant. “Just be safe, Harry.”

Harry pulled Hermione into his arms and hugged her tightly. “Thanks, Mione.”

“I’ll wait a couple more minutes for Molly, but I really think we should get the kids out of here.”

“Siri is freaking out. He said that he can “feel” Lilly’s fear. I’ve been trying to convince him that we would get her and that everything would be fine, but he is terrified that we won’t get to her in time.”

Hermione smiled sadly. “Didn’t you remind him that you were the savior of the Wizarding world?”

Harry snorted. “Some savior I turned out to be. I can’t even keep my own daughter safe.”

“Harry, this isn’t your fault. How were you to know that Rabastan Lestrange was still alive, let alone that he would come after Lilly. What do you suppose he wants?”

“I have no idea, but when I find him, it will be the last thing he ever does!” he said menacingly.

A second later an apparation pop could be heard and then Molly and Arthur Weasley appeared. “We’re here, so sorry we’re late! What is going on?” Molly demanded in her take-charge attitude.

“Rabastan Lestrange has kidnapped Lilly,” Harry said.

“What?” Arthur exclaimed. “I thought that he was dead!”

“So did we,” Harry said.

“Do you think that he knows Lilly is a Medium?” Molly whispered.

“I don’t know how he could. Very few people even know about it. Draco, Siri and I. You and Arthur and Mione and Neville. Then of course Severus and Arabella. As far as I know, nobody else knows.”

“Well what else could he want then?” she mused.

Just then another apparation pop was heard and seconds later Draco appeared. “Harry!” he exclaimed and threw himself into his husbands arms. “Oh gods! Rabastan has Lilly!” he cried.

“I know, love,” he said soothingly. “We’re going to get her back, Draco. Molly, could you go with Mione and help with the babies? Draco and I are going to the Lestrange Manor to get her back.”

“Do you think its safe to go alone?” she demanded.

“If it was one of your children, would you leave them there?”

“Would you like some Aurors to go with you, Harry?” Arthur asked.

“I think that it would be better if we went alone. There would be more of a chance of us sneaking in undetected that way. If we took a bunch of Aurors with us it would be harder to remain hidden.”

Arthur nodded. “I’m going with you,” he said.

“No, I can’t ask that of you!” Harry protested.

“You didn’t ask me, I volunteered. She’s like a granddaughter to me, and I want to help.”

Molly smiled sadly at her husband and patted his arm. “Take care of them, love,” she said kissing him on the cheek. “Oh my, I always wanted to ride in a Muggle car!” She walked around to the passenger side and climbed in. “This shall be loads of fun!” she said nervously.

Harry smiled in spite of himself. He knew that Molly hated all manners of Muggle items. She was only doing this for him and his family. “Thank you so much,” he said looking at both Molly and Hermione. “Siri, be brave and we’ll have your sister back home to you tonight,” he said. “I love you.”

Siri sobbed, “Hurry, daddy!”

“I love you as well, Little Man,” Draco told him.

Harry and Draco turned together along with Arthur and walked down the block and around the corner where they apparated out of site.


“Why didn’t you tell him that you had spoken to me?” Bellatrix demanded.

“Did you want me to tell?” Lilly softly asked.

“No!” she hissed. “Don’t tell him.”

“I won’t,” Lilly promised.

“But why didn’t you tell him?”

“I’m not supposed to help people for selfish reason’s. I am only supposed to help someone if it is for the greater good.”

Bellatrix rolled her eyes and hmmff’d. “I suppose that is more crap that Potter has taught you?”

“Its one of the Medium rules. You can not use your gift to help those who are selfish.” Lilly turned her head when she sensed another ghost enter the room. “Grandmother,” she said happily.

“Hello, darling,” she smiled.

“Narcissa! What are you doing here?” Bellatrix demanded.

“Grandma Lilly!” Lilly again smiled.

“Are you alright, my dear?” she asked in concern.

“I’m fine.”

“What the hell are the two of you doing here?” Bellatrix demanded.

“We are here to help our granddaughter.”

“You stand with that filthy Mudblood, Narcissa?” Bellatrix asked incredulously.

“Bella, the war is over, let it go.”

“Never! I will never forget what her filthy half-breed son did to my Lord. I will never forget what she did to Severus!” Bellatrix screamed.

Lilly smiled sadly. “Harry did what he had to do to survive. I am sorry that Severus held on to my memory for so long that he could not move on and find love with you. I was gone, Bellatrix, I had no control.”

“You dare use my name! You filthy disgusting, Mudblood!” she screamed.

“Grandma, what is a Mudblood?” Lilly asked.

Narcissa glared at her sister and said, “It is someone who is born to non-magical parents. Your grandma Lilly was a Muggle born.”

“But why does that matter, Grandmother?”

Narcissa, still glaring at Bellatrix said, “I don’t know, love. The Lord that my sister worshipped was a half blood. His father was a Muggle.”

“You lie!” Bellatrix screamed. “You dare to impugn my Lord’s good name?”

“Your lord was born, Tom Marvolo Riddle. His father was Tom Riddle Sr. and his mother was Merope Gaunt. He was a half blood.”

Bellatrix screamed in anger and frustration swiftly flying to and fro about the room, screaming about liars and blood traitors.

“Grandmother, what is a blood traitor?”

“It is when a pureblood either sides with or chooses a Muggle or a half blood over a pureblood.”

“So daddy is a pureblood and dad is a half blood?”

“Yes darling.” Narcissa said softly smiling.

“But I love both of my dad’s the same.”

“As you should, baby,” Lilly said.

“She is another filthy half-breed, Narcissa! Why are you here?”

Narcissa turned red in anger. “She is my granddaughter. The blood of our ancestors flows just as freely through her veins as it did through yours, Bella!” she hissed.

“Her blood is contaminated with that filthy Mudbloods blood! She is not a part of the house of Black!”

“I am the heir to the house of Black!” Lilly shouted proudly. She quickly shoved her hand over her mouth. Nobody could here the ghosts shout back and forth, but they could still here her.

“My disgusting blood traitor cousin left your father his heir! He didn’t even have an ounce of Black blood running through his veins! Now you, his daughter are the heir! What is this world coming to?” she shrieked.

“Lilly does have Black blood though. She is worthy of being the Black heir, Bella. Its time to let the hate go, Bella. We’re dead now. Why hold onto the anger and the pain? What is it going to get you? You can never come back, when you die, its forever. Let go, Bella, let go and finally be free.”

Bellatrix stared at her sister for a moment and then disappeared.

“Where did she go, Grandmother?” Lilly asked.

“She went to go think, I would guess.”

“About what?”

“Probably about her life, or lack there of.”
