Chapter 54: Complications

Gryffindor Tower:

Katie slung a comforting arm around a sobbing Alicia and made soothing noises.

\"Ally,\" asked Katie. \"What\'s wrong?\"

\"I tried to make up with Terry,\" sobbed Alicia.

\"That\'s good, isn\'t it?\" asked Katie with a confused look on her face.

\"He wasn\'t sure,\" wailed Alicia. \"He wants to think about it.\"

\"Ally,\" said Katie carefully. \"You broke up with him just before the game. He\'s a bit wary of you. His mates are still quite angry. They think you play with his emotions. Marcus says that Terry fancies you but-\"

\"But what?\" asked Ally anxiously.

Katie stopped and took a deep breath. She was going to tell Ally about Terry\'s other lovers but the look on Ally\'s face stopped her cold.

\"Nothing,\" said Katie kindly. \"Marcus says he\'s never seen Terry this
wrapped up in a girl. Alicia, try not to play with his emotions.\"

\"Thank-you Katie,\" said Ally gratefully. \"If anyone knows how to handle a temperamental Slytherin, it\'s you.\"

\"Marcus is not temperamental,\" said Katie with a frown.

\"Whatever Bell,\" said Ally with a smile.

\"I know,\" said Katie as she snickered. \"I tried to say it with a straight face but I couldn\'t do it.\"

\"Do you know where Angie is,\" asked Ally.

Katie flushed as she recalled the scene she had walked in on today. \"No,” said Katie with a determined smile.

The Hallway outside the Library:

\"Terry,\" said a familiar voice from behind him. A frisson of awareness went up his spine. He turned to look at Angelina.

\"We need to talk,\" said a nervous Angelina.

\"Yes,\" agreed Terry. They started down the deserted hallway silently. Angie followed when he turned into an empty classroom.

\"Terry,\" said Angelina bravely as she raised her chin and looked into his blue eyes. A shiver went down her spine. \"I\'m feeling enormously guilty over what happened earlier this today. But I can\'t…what I\'m trying to say is that I am finding it hard to…..stop thinking about you.\"

Terry nodded.

\"I can\'t help it but I feel like I am cheating on Adrian. I don\'t know what came over me,\" said Angie anxiously.

Terry nodded. He moved closer.

\"It\'s just that I don\'t know the rules with you Slytherins. Is it cheating when you have sex together or not? In Gryffindor, it is but I have a feeling Adrian doesn\'t think so. Are threesomes acceptable behavior?\"

Terry shrugged. He moved even closer. Angie shifted because she could smell his spicy familiar scent. Her nipples tightened.

\"I think that we shouldn\'t do this anymore,\" said Angelina with a distracted sigh. \"If he wants to sleep with us both, I think we shouldn\'t.\"

The Slytherin Dungeon:

\"So,\" said Marcus with amused eyes. \"You do know that you\'ve completely corrupted Angelina Johnson.\"

\"Me?\" said Adrian innocently.

\"I have to ask,\" said Marcus. \"Do you think it\'s a good idea to share her with Terry?\"\'

\"I\'ve always shared with Ter,\" said Adrian with a confused look.

\"Mate,\" said Marcus seriously. \"I could never share my Katie.\"

\"Marcus,\" said Adrian with a laugh. \"You hate sharing period.\"

\"We\'ve had a few Hufflepuffs together,\" said Marcus indignantly.

\"What about Stebbins,\" said Adrian with a snicker. \"You found every excuse not to shag her here in case we got the wrong ideas. You are a possessive soul, Marcus. Tell me something, doesn\'t it bother you to know that Davies, Diggory and Wood have had her too?\"

Marcus squirmed then gave a sigh. \"Yes,\" growled Marcus. \"It drives me absolutely mad. It\'s Davies\'s smirking face I cannot handle. On the other hand, I\'m not quite sure I would have been able to lure a virgin Bell into my bed.\"

\"Honestly Marcus,\" said Adrian. \"You could have done it. Granted she would have made you wait for it but I am sure it wouldn\'t have been a hardship.\"

\"Are you mad,\" said Marcus. \"She has to be the most exciting lover I\'ve ever had. And trust me, I\'ve had a few. My old man doesn\'t know it but Mellisande Avery isn\'t the only mistress we\'ve shared. Merlin, nothing beats a horny thirty-year-old housewitch when you\'re sixteen. I
sometimes thought his mistresses used to deliberately seek me out. I was pretty sure it was after he dumped them. It was their revenge on him. Like he noticed or cared. He\'ll never leave my mother.\"

\"I wish my mother wasn\'t so observant,\" said Adrian gloomily. \"One of her friends was giving me the eye at Yule after a few too many glasses of mead. You should have seen her Marcus. I am sure that I would have learnt something new. My mother sent me to bed like I was ten.\"

\"They used to slip up to my room to tuck me in,\" said Marcus with a smirk.

\"My mother put wards on my door,\" said Adrian with a pout.

The Deserted Classroom

\"Merlin,\" thought Terry hazily as Angie kissed the corner of his mouth. \"Higgs get a hold of yourself. It\'s your best mate\'s girlfriend. Merlin, her mouth is so hot and sweet. Pull yourself away man. So you are incredibly sexually attracted to her. Stop it.\"

Terry pulled his mouth off of Angelina\'s with difficulty.

\"We shouldn\'t have done that,\" panted Angie.

\"Katie,\" said Lee with a flushed face when he saw her come down the stairs. His face got concerned when he saw her face pale and she suddenly sat down on a chair. \"Is there anything wrong Katie?\"

\"I…I…don\'t feel well,\" said Katie a trifle tearfully. She turned a pleading look on Lee. His face was concerned. He looked a touch hungover, as well. \"Could you see…if Marcus is outside waiting for me?\"

Lee nodded and quickly made his way to the entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Katie closed her eyes as she felt a spell of vertigo engulf her. She opened her eyes weakly when she felt a large hand touch her face. A familiar scent engulfed her and Katie felt tears of relief fall down her face.

\"Marcus,\" said Katie shakily. She leaned into his comforting chest.

\"What\'s wrong,\" said Marcus anxiously. She opened her eyes and saw Lee\'s pale face hovering beside her as well.

\"I have to see Pomfrey,\" whispered Katie. Marcus\'s face paled and he gathered her up and made his way swiftly to the entrance.

\"Jordan\" said Marcus frantically. \"Run ahead and tell Pomfrey that there is something wrong with Katie.\"

Lee nodded and turned on his heel as he obeyed Marcus without a word. Marcus was carrying her swiftly through the halls as his heart pounded uncomfortably. He looked down into Katie\'s face and realized to his horror that she was unconscious
