Chapter 46
“Where are we going Drac?” Ali asked.
“To meet my parents Ali.” Draco answered walking over to where his parents sat by themselves.
Ali pulled on his hand bringing them to a stop. “Drac?”
“Yes?”
“Before I meet your mother and see your father again you might want to get rid of the ice in your hair.” She said giggling.
Draco ran a hand through his hair groaning as ice fell out. “Merlin Ali did you have to freeze me?”
Ali couldn’t answer she was too busy laughing.
“Draco?” a voice asked regally.
Draco turned “Father.”
Ali quickly stood and addressed Lucius Malfoy coolly. “Lord Malfoy.”
Lucius nodded in her direction. “Baroness VanLint. Draco are you ok?’
“Yes father I am fine. Joining Harry was the smartest move I ever made. Mom.” He said grabbing his mother in a hug.
Narcissa hugged him back tightly unmindful of the tears streaming down her face. “Draco my son. I am so relieved that you are safe. Lady Alexis thank you so much for taking care of my son.”
Ali was shocked “I’m sorry Lady Malfoy but how do you know my name? And how do you know that Drac was staying with me?”
“Marion was one of my best friends growing up. And Snape told me where he had taken Draco last summer.”
“Oh” Ali said unable to think of anything else to say.
“Draconis why do you have ice in your hair?” Lucius asked.
Ali answered “That was my fault Lord Malfoy. I am a water elemental and I have the ability to throw ice. Drac made me mad and I threw ice at him to shut him up.”
Narcissa burst out laughing but Lucius looked less then amused. “First off Lady VanLint his name is Draconis or Draco not Drac. Secondly he is a Malfoy and must be treated with respect.”
Draco looked at his father in disgust. “Father that’s a very interesting thing for you to say considering you have licked the boots of the vilest creature to ever call himself a wizard for as long as I can remember. As to calling me Drac Ali has had permission to call me that when we started dating months ago.”
Narcissa clapped her hands, “You are dating Draco? That is wonderful news. I am so happy for both of you.”
Draco took hold of Ali’s hand, “No Mom we aren’t dating.”
Narcissa looked at them in confusion, “But you just said that you started dating months ago.”
“And we did Mom but we aren’t anymore. Ali is my wife.”
“Your wife! Oh my Merlin, that’s great news. Marion and I were hoping sooner or later you two would come together. We even made a marriage contract for you two even though Anthony denied Lucius. But that was understandable.”
“You made a contract with Marion VanLint with out telling me!? Your married to the VanLint heiress?”
“Why yes dear I did. I don’t need your approval for every little thing I do,” Narcissa said coolly as Draco said at the same time, “Why yes father I am. And if I were you I’d show her the proper respect she deserves as my wife, a baroness, Harry Potter’s sister and a water elemental descended from Gryffindor and Ravenclaw to be specific.”
“Descended from who…” Lucius kept trying to get out past his shock from being blindsided by his own son and wife.
While Aurors came to take Lucius in for questioning Draco vouched for his mother and they told Harry and Hermione they were going to see how the other fighters were doing in the Hospital Wing. Maybe see how Severus was doing. So, Harry and Hermione tagged along too. Escaping a fuming and annoyed Molly. Who was yelling at her youngest son for just deciding things before thinking them through or something like that. They didn’t really care to listen.
But before they left they could have sworn they heard Bri’s voice scream, “WHAT THE FUCK!?”
