Chapter 44

Harry and Draco looked at each other. Somehow they knew that whatever the girls had to tell them would be life changing.

“So what is so important?” Harry asked.

Ali looked over at Hermione. She seemed to be struggling with finding the right words. She knew that she was going to be in more trouble than Hermione would be. Not only would Draco be upset with her for keeping him in the dark but Harry would come unglued. He would be very upset that she knowingly placed herself and her unborn son in danger. Finally she drew a deep breath and went for it.

“Well what we have to tell you will make you mad and very happy at the same time.” She said running her hand through her curls.

Both Harry and Draco recognized the gesture as one Ali made when she was very unsure of herself which didn’t happen very often. Harry being Harry immediately jumped to conclusions.

“Oh my god Ice did something happen to you during the battle?”

Ali laughed “No Ash I’m fine but when I went to Pomfrey she discovered something that changed my life.”

At this Draco rushed over to his wife and pulled her into his arms. “Are you sick? Is something very wrong?”

“I just said that I’m fine Drac weren’t you listening to me?”

“I’m sorry Ali now what did Pomfrey find?” Draco asked chagrined.

Ali knew that the only way to shut them up was to just say it so she did. “I’m pregnant you ass!”

Draco drew back from her shocked his arms falling to the side. He and Harry exchanged the same dumbfounded expression. “Did you just say that you are pregnant?”

“That’s what I said, as in knocked up, going to have a baby the whole nine yards. Pregnant and it’s your entire fault Draconis Sirius Malfoy-VanLint!”

Hermione giggled and Harry whipped his head around to look at her. “What is so funny about Draco knocking my sister up? I gave you permission to marry her Malfoy not have sex with her!”

Ali glared at Harry “Oh that’s rich. Did you honestly think that we wouldn’t? How very hypocritical of you. Besides you are one to talk.”

Harry glared right back at Ali. “What do you mean I’m one to talk? I wouldn’t let my pregnant wife fight during this war unlike some people.” He said shooting a deathly glare at Draco.

Hermione had had enough “Shut up Harry! You have no right to get upset with Draco getting Ali pregnant right before this battle when YOU did the same exact thing!”

“WHAT?!?” Harry yelled.

“You heard me Harry. I’m pregnant too.” At this Hermione went to stand by Ali presenting a united front against their irate husbands.

Draco looked at Ali and took her hands “Ali love are you and the baby ok? Your magic is fine right?”

“I’m fine Drac. In fact Madame Pomfrey said that our baby is so powerful that he will tap into my power to protect me until he is born.”

Draco’s face lit up. “A boy?”

Ali smiled “Yes a boy.”

Harry finally went over to Hermione “You are pregnant also?”

“Yes Harry I really am. I found out the same time Ali did.”

“Are you and our baby ok?”

“We are fine and yes before you ask we have a powerful baby too but because of my blood she can’t protect herself or me.”

“She?”

“Yeah she Harry.”

Harry and Draco grinned at each other then realized that their wives had known that they were pregnant yet still fought. Ali had even faced Voldemort. At this both started yelling at their wives and at each other.

After a few minutes of listening to them scream Ali had had enough. She stepped in between them and raised her hands. Shooting a stream of ice at both of them effectively shutting them up by covering them in ice.

She looked at both and said, “Now that you two have cooled down listen. We both knew that if you knew that we were pregnant neither one of you would let us fight and we needed to. Ash you had to have me by your side and you know it. Neither Hermione nor I took any unnecessary risks that would cause harm to our babies. Now you guys can either get over yourselves and be happy about it or you can find someplace different to stay tonight. So whats it going to be?”

Harry allowed his inner flames to build melting the ice. Placing his hands on Draco he melted enough for them both to say “We are very sorry you two.”
Each one of them walked over to their wives and pulled them into hugs.

Harry looked down into Hermione’s face and smiled at her. Letting her see in his eyes all the love he felt for her and their unborn daughter he said, “You just gave me the best gift that anyone could ever give me. I love you so much Mione. Thank you.”

“I love you to Harry.” Hermione said smiling as Harry’s mouth covered hers.

Draco looked sheepishly at Ali. “I sort of overreacted didn’t I?”

Ali grinned, “Just a little but I kind of blindsided you with the news.”

“I just never expected that you would get pregnant so easily.”

“Neither one of us ever thought to do a conception charm Drac.”

“Well hell Ali you are so beautiful that frankly the only thing on my mind when we are making love is making you feel good. I guess that subconsciously I have always loved kids and that may be why I never thought about it.”

“Seriously? You wanted kids this fast?” Ali asked surprised.

“Well maybe not this fast but yeah I wanted kids with you.”

“I love you Drac.”

“Ali I love you so much.” Draco said kissing her.

Harry finally broke away from Hermione and walked over to Ali. Pulling her into his arms he hugged her tight. “I am so sorry Ice. I didn’t hurt you or the baby when I drew on your power did I?”

“No Ash we are both fine. I told you he taps into my power if he needs to protect me.”

“Merlin you are going to have one powerful baby.”

Ali grinned wickedly. “Yep and if he gets to rambunctious then Drac and I will just send him over to visit Uncle Harry.”

Ali backed away giggling and went into the safety of Draco’s arms at the look on Harry’s face. As all four laughed they walked back down to the Great Hall only to be stopped by a very angry Molly Weasley.
