Ultimate Betrayal: Chapter 42
HOGWARTS
Lucius Malfoy was ecstatic; he had found his ex-wife. He wondered what information his Lord could gleam from the woman as he pulled her closer to Hogwarts Castle.
“You should have stayed where you were Cissa. For I can guarantee you that I will not help you.” Lucius hissed into her ear as they reached the grand doors to the Great Hall.
Narcissa remained silent; she refused to rise to the bait. The information she had would no doubt keep her alive. And that was that was the only reason she felt no fear as they walked into the Great Hall.
Silence was their greeting. All the Death Eaters and Demons watched as the two made their way toward Voldemort and the Demon Lord Artemis.
“How lovely to see you again Narcissa. Tell me Lucius wherever did you find her?” Voldemort stated with malice as he narrowed his eyes at the woman in question.
“Coming out of Gringotts, my Lord.” Lucius exclaimed as he bowed.
“Interesting. Crucio!” snarled Voldemort sending the spell toward Narcissa with vengeance.
Narcissa screamed, and just as she was about to pass out the curse was lifted. Causing her to inhale rapidly trying to regain control of her thoughts and breathing.
“Where have you been Narcissa? Where is your son?” Voldemort hissed in anger as he raised his wand again. Ready if she refused to answer or if the answers were not to his liking.
“In hiding.” Narcissa wheezed out as she climbed to her knees.
“Wrong answer!” Voldemort stated and cursed her again until she screamed out.
“America…Potter….King”
Voldemort released the spell quickly and motioned for two of his followers to take her away. Before he turned to the Demon Lord.
Artemis raised an eyebrow at the mortal before smirking. “Well it seems things are about to get interesting. I thought the Potter boy had died in Azkaban. Perhaps you should speak to the other mortal. “
Voldemort said nothing as he stormed out of the hall and toward his office. Once inside he fire called the Minister, demanding his presence. Before waiting the several short minutes for the man to arrive.
“Dark Lord, what can I help you with?” Minister Fudge asked as he walked through the fire.
“You said the Potter was dead! And now it has come to my attention that he is very much alive and with the King of Magic in America.” hissed Voldemort not caring that the moron had gone pale and began to shake.
“But I was there and watched he get the kiss. There is no way he could have survived that.” Fudge stuttered.
“You were wrong! Now we don’t just have the King of Magic to deal with. But Potter as well.”
“If Potter…really is alive….then he had to of had help.” Fudge stated cringing at the Dark Lord’s look of malice.
“No one helped him you fool. There was a reason I chose Potter and not Longbottom. Get out of my sight and find a way to bring Potter back to Britain before the King finds out about him.” Voldemort snarled.
Voldemort narrowed his eyes as the Minister left again through the floo. ~Very clever Potter. How did you do it and why can I not feel you through that scar of yours? Not to mention how Narcissa knew about you in the first place. Unless….~ he trailed off storming out of the office and toward the cells in the Dungeons. He needed to get into Narcissa’s mind and find out at least some of the answers to his questions.

Avalon: Interrogation Room
Wyatt, Aiden with Secretary Jengens watched, as Kingsley Shacklebolt was lead into the room, with four guards. The three said nothing as the man was seated and magic bonds placed around his arms, legs and chest. They wanted to make sure that he would go nowhere.
“Auror Shacklebolt, my name is Wyatt Halliwell better known as the King of Magic. The man to my left is Aiden Kage-Halliwell my husband and Consort. And as you well know the one to my right is the Secretary of Magic herself.” Wyatt stated with ice as he narrowed his eyes at the man before him.
“I have always thought innocent until proven guilty was the way to go. But in your case as well as your comrades, I’ve changed my perspective to guilty until proven innocent. So let us see if you are innocent of your crimes.” Secretary Jengens hissed at him as she removed the Vertiserum from her robes.
Kingsley Shacklebolt growled at the three before him. He truly did not want to give them any information to help attack his homeland. But he realized weeks ago that fighting them was useless.
“What is your name?”
“Kingsley Shacklebolt”
“What is your occupation?”
“British Auror and member of the Order of the Phoenix.”
“Who was the one that planned the attack on the Charmed Ones? And what was their goal?”
“Albus Dumbledore. The goal was for them to fight the Demons.”
“Did you condone the kidnapping of the Charmed Ones?”
“No.”
“If you did not condone the kidnapping then why did you agree to be part of the distraction?”
“I did not.
“Explain?”
“I refused to aid Dumbledore in the kidnapping. The Minister told me that I was just part of the negotiations for the Treaty.
Wyatt waved his hand toward the Secretary for her to give him the antidote to the serum. With that, the three waited until the man’s eyes returned to normal. “Aiden, if you would please.”
“My pleasure.” Aiden hissed as he pulled a chair in front of Kingsley. Before his eyes went pure white pushing slowly into the man’s mind.
=Don’t fight me Kingsley and this will be painless. = Aiden whispered into his mind as he began glancing into the man’s memories with a purpose.
Aiden watched memory after memory with Dumbledore. One’s that were about his former self as well as the Charmed Ones. As well as one’s dealing with Neville Longbottom being trained to take his place as the Savior. Aiden could find nothing inside the man’s memories that would confirm his guilt. Therefore, Aiden pulled completely out of Kingsley’s mind to face his husband and the Secretary before rendering his verdict.
“Innocent. There’s nothing there that shows he had anything to do with what has happened.” Aiden whispered with awe as he looked at the Auror with an indescribable gleam in his eyes.
Kingsley sighed closing his eyes as he heard the Consort’s judgment. He was glad that his innocence was finally proven at last. Hoping that now, he could be taken out of the dungeons.
Wyatt and the Secretary smiled. Before Wyatt leaned up and stated quietly. “I have a proposition for you.”
“What?” Kingsley asked with narrowed eyes.
“How would you like to return to Britain?”
“What! There has to be a catch.” Kingsley hissed.
“Of course there is. Auror Shacklebolt, we want you to become our spy.” Wyatt stated as he waved his hand between himself and the Secretary.
“And if I refuse?”
“Then you stay and fight along side Avalon and the American Ministry when we take over Britain. Those are your choices. So I suggest you chose wisely.” Wyatt announced with a smirk as the Secretary nodded sharply in agreement.
“What would these two choices entail?” Kingsley asked.
“If you spy then you would be gaining information about the Ministry as well as the so called Dark Lord. Sending all that you learn back to myself as well as the King. If you stay, then you will give us all the information you know of concerning those two factions. As well as fighting along side us when the time comes.” Secretary Jengens stated with finality as she watched the man before her.
After giving the options several moments of thought, Kingsley stated. “I’ll stay, for this way I can insure I live longer. If I go the Minister would just have me disposed off, just like Potter as well as others.”
Wyatt lowered his head in understanding before calling his guards to take the man to one of the lower level rooms. The one’s that were closest to the guards quarters, so he could be watched with ease. Once the man was gone, Wyatt turned toward his husband and the Secretary.
“Well this was not what I expected.” Wyatt stated with a level of confusion.
“It’s good that he was innocent Wyatt. Because now we have someone that knows the Ministry better than anyone.” Jengens announced before taking her leave.
Noticing that his husband was deep in thought, Aiden moved to straddle his lap. Before engaging Wyatt in a loving kiss. “I’m glad he is innocent as well love. Having him fight with us gives us another advantage.”
“I know. What do you say we go out to dinner? Just the two of us?”
Aiden was about to answer when one of the guards walked into the room.
“What!” Wyatt snapped at the young guard as he continued to hold his husband close.
“This just arrived for you my King and Consort. It was delivered by one of the Goblins.” The guard stated with a low bow, before handing the letter over to the King. Leaving quickly afterward, not wanting to upset Wyatt more than he already seemed.
“Well Wyatt opens it.” Aiden softly spoke before kissing Wyatt on the neck.
Wyatt nodded before breaking the seal and reading it aloud.
King and King Consort,
I, Master Griphook would like to inform you of one of your charges. A Narcissa Black nee Malfoy, she entered Gringotts and demanded my presence. When I arrived, she stated that she had revoked her Sanctuary with Avalon. And that I was to take her back to Britain.
I was unaware if her words were fact or fiction. However, she has been returned to were she wished. And I felt the need to inform you of such. Incase her actions and words were false and something needed to be done immediately.
Master Goblin Griphook
Manager of the Kage Estates
“Oh Shit! This is bad Wyatt, that woman knows who I was before. There will be no way to keep my identity from the people of Britain much longer if she is caught.” Aiden hissed in anger and a bit of fear.
Wyatt pulled Aiden closer before stating. “Everything will be fine. If they find out, we will deal with it. We both knew that your former identity would come out eventually.”
Aiden nodded as he placed his face into Wyatt’s neck. While Wyatt one the other hand was fuming inside. If that Elf doesn’t die by their hands. She will die by mine. He thought before orbing to his study and summoning Severus. He needed to know what to expect in regards to that woman. And the sooner the better.
