Fight
Chapter 5
I couldn’t sleep. Every time I let my eyes drift shut I would see the motel room, with it’s dull yellow walls, and I would feel that man’s fingers digging into my flesh. I could smell the sweat and lubricant. So I kept them open. I laid in bed, staring up into the darkness above me.
The others came in after a while. I heard them, but didn’t move. Thankfully they didn’t try to talk to me. I guess I had made my point. I listened to the whispered conversations, knowing that they were all discussing me. I waited, and soon enough they all got in bed, and then grew silent with sleep. I waited for a little longer, making sure everyone was in deep slumber. I didn’t know what I was going to do, but I felt as though I was waiting for something. Suddenly, as I felt the tears course down my face, I knew what I had been waiting for. I curled up into a little ball, and let the sorrow wash over my entire body, bringing with it all the pain that my mind had spared me earlier when I was numb. I shook, and sobbed as quietly as I could. To my ears, every rattling breath I took was as loud as a freight train. I don’t know how long that lasted. B the time I had run out of tears, my pillow was damp, and my muscles were sore. I rolled over stretching out. That’s when I noticed the sun coming in through the window.
I sat up quickly in a panic. All around me were empty beds. I rushed to get dressed, and ran out the door. Had they left without me? Had they seen the pain I was in? I just ran. Hoping to catch them at dinner. My anger flared as I thought of Draco sitting there, or worse, him in the bathroom. I clenched my teeth, and pushed my legs harder, reaching the diner in record time.
Everyone looked up as I stumbled in. I was flushed and out of breath. Draco and Cedric were sitting next to each other at the table. They were giving me matching looks of pity. The others ranged from annoyance to worry. I too the seat at the end, next to Oliver. He was as spastic as ever, bouncing up and down in his chair.
“ How are you feeling?” Cedric asked, breaking the silence that I had brought into the diner with me.
I debated on whether or not I should answer him. I was still very pissed off at the both of them. They had betrayed me, and sold me to the dogs. I didn’t know if I could ever forgive them. I decided that I’d inflict as much pain as I could. They had a long ways to go to catch up to me anyway.
“ Pretty pissed actually.” I said, forcing a sarcastic smile on my face.” I guess I’m not important enough to wake up in the mornings now that you can’t pop my cherry, huh Cedric?”
He looked like I had just kicked him in the gut, next to me I heard Ginny snicker. Glad at least someone thought it was funny, because I sure as hell didn’t.
“ Harry!” Draco grunted, obviously chastising me for my remark. I turned my glare onto him.
“ Oh you’re actually speaking. I had thought that with all that brooding you’d forgotten how to use your words. I guess you aren’t as dark and mysterious as we thought. Sad.” Ginny was laughing full out now, along with Michael and Luna. Draco got quiet and looked away. We spent the rest of the meal eating quickly and silently. Everyone was ready to get out of the enclosed space.
On the way out the door, Ginny walked out the door with me, smoothly wrapping my ar around her waist.
“ Thanks for finally putting those tow in their places.” She whispered into my ear. I smiled. Ginny was sweet, and she thought I was funny. “ But in all honesty, are you doing okay? We’re all really worried.”
“ Why would you be worried about me?” I asked, through clenched teeth.
“ Because this morning when we woke up, you looked like you were having a fit or seizure or something, the only reason we didn’t call an ambulance was because Tom told us he’d take care of it.” She whispered back.
So much for that friendship. I pulled my arm back, and stalked away from her.
I debated leaving. Just walking away from the group, just going off on my own to find my own place, my own life, but I couldn’t. That would be quitting. Instead I’d just make everyone around me miserable. That would make me feel better. Or at least it would make them feel worse. Then no one would be happy.
I was brooding on the bench. Everyone kept their distance. I was a loose cannon after all. It was a slow night, and everyone seemed to be in a bad mood. Draco was hovering near me, he kept checking his watch. It almost looked like he was debating something in his head. I hoped he lost.
“ Uhmm Harry?” He asked as he approached me. I shot daggers at him. He was the last person I wanted to talk to. “ I got a call from Tom, there’s a guy who was interested in you online. You have a job.” I rolled my eyes and got up.
“ Where?” I asked, not waiting for his response as I moved to the street to hail a cab.
“ I know where it is.” He said. Trying to comfort me? Was he just retarded? He was probably high. Stupid Junkie.
“ Well then tell me so I can go make some money.” I said slowly, as though I was explaining to a child.
“ I’ll just take you there.” He said. He was staring at the sidewalk. He was hiding something. I really didn’t want to play this game.
“ I really don’t need an escort.”
“ No, I have to go with you on this one.” Draco mumbled. Still looking down.
“ Whatever.” I said, turning back to the street.
“ We’re a package deal.” He said from behind me.
A Shudder ran down my spine. Did that mean what I thought it meant? No. He was still just making sure I was okay the entire time. But I wasn’t sure.
“ What does that mean?” I asked, glaring at him.
“ He wants us both at the same time.” Draco said slowly. My breath hitched. I didn’t want this. Why was my body growing excited?
“ How long have you known about this?” I asked through gritted teeth. As much as my body thought this was something to look forward to, I knew better. I knew that this would open up a whole new level of pain for myself later.
“ Since dinner. Before you got there, Tom called and told me. I would’ve told you earlier, but I was scared of upsetting you.” He managed to mumble. Was he scared of me now? I did not understand this boy.
“ Why would you care if you upset me. Until yesterday you barely spoke to me. You barely acknowledged my existence, and now you’re worried about my feelings? Is it the drugs fucking you up? Or are you just psycho on your own?” I was fuming. Why did he think he could do this to me. He had been nothing but trouble ever since he walked into my life. I had never wanted to hurt someone more than I wanted to hurt him.
“ I- I don’t know.” He mumbled after I had stopped yelling. “ I guess I just couldn’t stop lying to myself after I watched you walk out of that room. You were broken. I felt awful.” His eyes were growing moist. It sickened me.
“ Congratulations for having a shred of empathy. Let’s go.” I barked, and climbed into the cab that had just pulled up. This was going to interesting.
I spent the cab ride across town, ignoring Draco, and thinking up more ways to hurt the blonde. I realized that the only reason I could come up with for why I hadn’t left, was because I wanted to hurt Draco as much as possible first.
Draco led us across a parking lot of an apartment building on the outskirts of the city. Our John lived on the third floor. Draco knocked on his door and turned to me.
“ Act like everything is fine. It’ll make things go faster.” He whispered. I wanted to tell him no, but the door opened first. In the doorway stood our John. He was big, not fat, but big. With buzzed short hair, and a mole on his face. Overall he wasn’t unattractive, but not attractive by any means. Just average. He was younger than I expected too. He couldn’t be any more than thirty.
“ Hey boys. Come inside.” He smiled. He had a light accent that I couldn’t place. We went into the small apartment. It was barely furnished, and there was absolutely no personality. It was like someone had just thrown a couch and television into an empty room.
“You live here?” I blurted out. Draco threw me a pointed look. I nearly laughed. He was upset I was speaking. Thanks for the clue Draco.
“ No, I just keep it for special events, like this one.” The John answered. “ Would you boys like a drink?” We both declined, as we were trained to do.
“ So you do this often?” I asked, knowing the conversation would annoy Draco. That’s what made it fun.
“ Pretty much whenever I can. I feel like it’s a good way to… to give back to the community.” He laughed. I laughed with him. Draco was livid. “ So let’s get started shall we.” The John said with a hungry look in his eye.
Much to my dismay, Draco noticed my instant hesitation. He knew I would have a hard time with this, not only because he was here, but also because I was still messed up from last night. The blonde moved in, closing the John of from me, pulling him into a tight embrace. They kissed, and I felt my jealousy flare up. I watched as the john began to man into Draco’s mouth. Suddenly Draco was slammed up against the wall, as the man mauled him with his mouth.
“ Be gentle.” I slipped. The John growled and turned to face me. “ Don’t get him too riled up now. Save it for later.” I said, dropping my voice to a more seductive tone. From behind the lumbering man, I saw Draco mouth the words “ Thank you.”
I had forgotten about our feud. From what I had just seen, it would take cooperation from both of us to get through tonight. I was willing to play. But just for tonight.
The John came at me, grunting as he pushed me through the open doorway behind me, into the bedroom. I felt myself fall onto the bed. I was expecting the weight of the man, but it never came. I looked up to see Draco holding him, massaging his back.
“ Let the games begin.” I whispered to myself as I leapt off the bed.
