Chapter Five

‘Hermione Jane Granger, you have really out done yourself this time’ Hermione smiled to herself as she flicked her fingers along her own personal library of books in her private quarters. She settled finally on an old favorite; Hogwarts A History before she unlocked her door and dropped herself down on the couch by the fire in the shared common room. She had been so sure living in such proximity to Malfoy would have ruined her final year at Hogwarts. And yet here she was, relaxed and comfortable to move around their living space without fear of his sarcastic drawl ruining her mood. Because Malfoy had not said one word to her since they stepped off the train. Not cocked one smarmy eyebrow or turned his nose up as she walked past. Bliss. In truth perhaps the eerie silence between them had made her somewhat more aware of him. But it was a good awareness, as though every time he walked in the room she felt a blush of pride run through her that she Hermione Jane Granger had finally shut the Prince of Slytherin Draco Malfoy up. By asking him to kiss her.

Of course he never would, she knew that. But from experience she knew that Malfoy did not like to be seen as anything but the best at everything he did. After all the premise of their entire hatred was built around that simple fact; that she a muggle born witch had bested him in almost every class throughout their entire school career. Understandably infuriating, she herself did not like to achieve anything but glowing admiration from her teachers.

She had seen him from the corner of her eye shuffling from side to side in the doorway to his rooms. A small smile crept at her lips but her curtain of curls hid them from his gaze as she pretended to read deeply. She heard him mutter something to himself and she finally turned her attention to him as if she hadn’t been so severely informed of his presence already. They exchanged bitter words as expected of their first conversation in a week.

And then suddenly he was on her. Her book lay on the floor and his body covered hers.

‘I think you’ve been thinking about me and all that I can do to you my little Gryffindor kitten. All the things you want me to do to you.’

Hermione pressed her hands against him before they too were trapped in-between their ever enclosing proximity. Her head spun at the heat rolling off him and the tone of his voice and the look in his steal grey eyes as his mouth descended on her. She had to pull her gaze away from him before she let him kiss her again she panicked as she twisted her head away from him. She felt him grin. ‘That’s why you challenged me isn’t it?’. Perhaps it wasn’t the best idea she thought as his lips danced along her neck up to her ear earning a small whimper from her as the heat that now surrounded her completely flooded her own veins. Hermione felt like she was on fire and it was burning hardest just below her navel.

‘Isn’t it?’

Malfoy’s hand came to her cheek and pulled her gaze gently back to his. ‘Isn’t it Princess? You want me don’t you?’

Hermione just stared. His eyes held her like a prisoner so that even if she could coherently think about moving away she wouldn’t be able to. ‘Cummon’ Granger, you started this little game. Did you really think I wouldn’t come through on it?’

‘Yes’. She gasped as he trailed the same finger he had waved in her face a week ago down her cheek softly. A torrent of Goosebumps ran over her skin. He pulled back at her response slightly. His eyes became questioning.

‘You didn’t did you? You shouldn’t play with fire Granger, you might get burned.’ He smirked as his hand slid under her to her lower back and pulled her closer to him connecting their hips together and letting her know just how big his flame was burning.

‘Malfoy, wha-what are you doing?’ She stuttered, trying her hardest not to concentrate on the feeling of his manhood pressed so tightly against her, and even harder on the feelings it was instilling in her.

‘I’m going to prove myself to you Granger. Just like you asked. I’m going to make those pretty little Mudblood eyes roll around in that pretty little Mudblood head of yours. I’m going to make you writhe and scream and love it. And when I’m done, you’ll know that you’ll never have better.’

Hermione couldn’t think straight. This wasn’t how it was supposed to work. He wasn’t supposed to actually DO IT. She had never thought Malfoy would actually WANT to touch her. Not because she wasn’t unattractive or anything, but because Malfoy would never…never…

‘Merlin’ she whispered. She couldn’t think straight at all. She was so lost in the heat of him and she couldn’t lie that it didn’t feel good. Too good.

‘What was that Granger?’ Malfoy ground his hips into hers sending new waves of fire through her making her mind up.

‘I said what are you waiting for?’
