A Road Block
The next day Kris woke up in a bed alone, she wasn’t allowed to sleep in the same bed as Remus so she was alone through the night. After getting out of bed she showered then dressed. She sniffed the air but could smell three people she knew from the night before but another she didn’t. Kris began to walk down the hall to the landing when she heard his voice, she slowly stopped at the landing above the speakers.
“Remus, she has to go to Hogwarts today.” The man sounded tired as if they had been arguing about it.
“Why? If it doesn’t happen tonight then she could become someone else’s mate.” Came the voice of Remus.
“I understand, Remus, but-”
“There are no buts, Albus! We already have a plan in motion for tonight!”
Kris could hear the anger in his voice as she listened from her spot on the landing. She was worried that the man she didn’t know was going to take her away. As that thought crossed her mind she walked down the stairs, once she was at the bottom she walked over to Remus.
“Shouldn’t Sirius have a say in this matter? I mean he is my new father after all.” She spoke quietly as she took her mate’s hand and held it tightly.
“Forget it, Kris, the old man is stubborn.” Sirius said glaring at the man.
“Albus, school doesn’t even start until next month. Why would she have to leave now?” Snape asked raising an eyebrow.
AN: Sorry it's short and took so long.. life got in the way and had writers block. Also sorry for the lame title.
