chapter 5
A/N: Sorry about the mixup, guess my laptop was getting back at me for yelling at it. Ill be nice from now on.
Ron couldn’t help but smile at her laugh. It was refreshing and warmed his heart. He was more anxious then ever to hear what happened that made her laugh as she did.
“So I take it everything went well.” He said when her laughter died down.
“Oh Ron, they were so angry. I wonder if they will kill each other before lunch.” She began laughing again. Ron took her hand and they sat on the couch. He draped an arm around her.
“Tell me what happened.” He laughed at her boldness as she related the events in the parlor. By the time she mentioned his ‘shit performance’, Ron was in hysterics.
“What I wouldn’t give to have seen his face.” He managed in between laughing fits.
“I’ll give you a pensieve if you want.” She offered.
“Later.” He said still laughing.
“I did mention your name though.” She admitted.
“Really?” He asked.
“Yes. Right before I left.”
“What did he do?” Ron was fascinated.
“All he had time to do was say your name. That’s when I activated the portkey.” Ron let out a chuckle.
“Well that’s that. No more worries. You won’t have to think about them again. I’ll take care of anything you need.” He pulled her into his lap. “Did you get everything you wanted?” He asked tossing her bag and cloak aside.
“Yes, that spell is a wonder. My whole wardrobe is in there.”
“Good. Don’t bother taking everything out, you’ll only be here a day, two at the most.” She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and settled herself in his lap. After a moment Ron spoke.
“I have to leave now.” He said sadly. She nodded, knowing it would happen. He had business to take care of. She also knew her time with him would be limited anyway.
“I understand. I’ll be here waiting until I hear something.” He gave her a deep kiss, then stood up bringing her with him.
“I’ll try to come by later. If I cant, I’ll send a message through Leeky. All you have to do is call her and she’ll answer.” Pansy nodded and helped him on with his cloak. He didn’t need it, and frankly since he was so tall, it probably hindered more than helped him, but he humored her attempts.
He gave a nod toward hiss bag and clothes. “I’m not going to bother with that, I’ll leave it here with you.”
“Alright. I’ll get it packed for you.” She told him as he took a few of his parchments. “Put the rest of these in there as well, will you?” He asked gesturing to the rest of the papers.
“Alright.”
He pulled out a drawstring pouch from his pocket. “This is for you. I’ve already taken care of the room for you, so this is for supper or if you need to get anything.” She took the pouch and dropped it on the table, the turned to Ron.
He was ready to leave. She hugged him tightly, and kissed him eagerly. He had a hard time releasing her, but eventually he did. Pansy had the distinct feeling that he enjoyed how she said goodbye.
When he left, she looked at the table where the pouch rested. She knew what she needed to do.
