A Summer of Secrecy
It was raining when Andromeda walked into her room from the shower. She was still drying her hair when she heard the tapping coming form her window pane. She saw a brown and white spotted owl sitting on her ledge being rained on. ‘That’s odd. Why didn’t he find another window to come in out of the rain?” she thought. She hurried to the window and let the owl in. He fell through the window and to the floor due to the weight of his soaked feathers. He hopped over to Andromeda and stuck his leg out for her. She took the letter, scooped him up in the towel she had used for her hair and sat with him in front of her small fire place. He laid in her lap and warmed himself as she read the letter.
Dear Andromeda,
I miss you. I wish I could hold you in my arms and kiss you. Please tell me you are thinking the same thing.

I loved them too. I loved the stories and all the photos albums. You were as cute then as you are now. I am sorry if I scared your mom with the dishes. I didn’t think and just did what came natural. I have always been really good at household spells. I guess I’ll have to teach you some of them now. Ali says your welcome and is holding you to your promise. I don’t think I have ever been happier that the new term was coming so soon. Bella just keeps going on about her and her beau. I can’t stand it. ‘Cissa and I though have been somewhat close as of lately. She has a new beau that has her smitten. He sends s her gifts all the time. A little gaudy if you ask me. I am happy with just seeing you and being able to hold you. Soon we’ll be able to be together all day. I will being seeing you soon.
