alrighty Jesse suggested that Hermione's father's name was Hugo. I know it doesn't really matter but I'm going to go with that. It makes me think of Hugo from 'Lost'. I'm a junkie for that show.
-----
Hugo couldn't believe what his daughter had told him. His little girl was pregnant. She got drunk and slept with someone she didn't even like.
"Why did you do it?" he asked her in a calm voice.
Hermione suddenly felt scared. She had ended up insisting on talking to her father alone. She wanted to have a one on one conversation with her father. After all this was a very sensitive subject for anyone to talk about.
"I was drunk," she explained. "I already told you that."
"Hermione," Her father said putting an arm around her. "Alcohol doesn't make you do things you would never do. It just removes your self control so that you can do the things you really want."
The witch didn't agree with her father but she wasn't going to argue with him. She didn't want to make the situation worse.
"How old is this man?" Hugo asked.
The question surprised Hermione. She didn't really know how old he was. After a minute of doing math in her head she got an answer that sounded right.
"About forty," She answered.
"Hermione.." he said in a disappointed voice. "He is old enough to be your father?"
She could take the way her father was talking to her. His soft tone upset her. He always talked like that when he was upset. She would rather he yelled at her.
"Yes," she answered in a shaky voice.
Tears were pushing at her eyes and she was fighting to hold them in. She didn't understand why her father was being so hard on her.
"It's OK baby," he said hugging her. "Don't cry. I'm just confused and I'm guessing you are too."
"I wish it had never happened," Hermione said.
"I know you do," he said. "But there is a good side to all this."
"What?" she asked in a surprised voice.
"This," he said placing his hand on her stomach. "I know that it seems like a bad thing but once you're stomach starts to grow you'll be happier. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing."
"I hope so," she said smiling slightly.
"When he comes I want to speak to him alone," Hugo explained.
"Why?" she asked raising an eyebrow.
"I want to have a one on one conversation with him," he said. "I want to explain my position to him very well."
"I don't really want to see him," the witch said. "I don't think I can look at him."
"OK," he said. "He may ask to see you. What do I tell him?"
"I don't know," she said with a sigh. "Just tell him I'm not ready to see him."
"OK princess," he said giving her another hug. "Whatever you want."
Hermione smiled and relaxed against her father. Her parents were being so understanding. She could only hope Severus would act like an adult about the whole thing. She wanted Ron to come back to her. She missed him so much.

Hugo was pacing his living room and glancing at the clock. Severus Snape was late.
"He better show up," he said to himself.
He sat down on the couch and picked up his soda from the coffee table. He wasn't thirsty but he drank when he was nervous.
Severus had already arrived at the house. He was standing on the front steps debating if he should go in or not.
He had been in shock when he received a letter from Ron telling him that the Granger family wanted to speak to him.
They must have found out about the night he and Hermione had shared. Hermione must have finally cracked and told them about it. Her parents most likely wanted to give him a piece of their minds. That was the only reason he could think of.
He hadn't told anyone about that night. He hadn't seen any reason to. He wasn't the kiss and tell type.
Severus figured that he would forget about Hermione but he didn't. He couldn't. Every time he lay in bed he thought about her. He thought about her gentle kiss. He thought about her tight pussy. He thought about how amazing she was.
He knew he shouldn't feel that way about Hermione. She was a former student and a young lady. He had no business thinking about her that way.
"Alright," he said knocking on the door. "Here goes nothing."
He only waited there for a minute before the door opened. A man opened the door. Severus guessed that he was Hermione's father. He didn't look too happy.
"You're late," he said at once.
"I'm sorry about that," Severus explained. "A teacher meeting ran late."
He must have bought it because he gave him a small smile and stepped out of the way.
"Come on in," he said.
Severus walked into the house and closed the door behind him. Hugo led them into the living room. Severus and Hugo sat on either sides of the couch.
"Mr. Granger," Severus said. "I have a feeling I know why I am here but why don't you tell me. I don't want to beat around the bush."
"Good," he said. "I want to talk to you about my daughter. You know Hermione pretty well."
Severus didn't know what to say so he just nodded.
"Well it has come to my attention that you and my daughter had a one night stand about a month ago," he said.
"Yes we did," he said nodding again. "I want you to know that we were both intoxicated. I didn't take advantage of her."
"I am aware of that," Hugo said. "My wife called you here because there is something you need to know."
Severus was starting to get nervous. He had no clue what the man was getting ready to say but he knew it wasn't good. If it wasn't bad then her father would have just spit it out.
"She wasn't feeling well," her father went on to say. "So she went to see the doctor. They told her she is pregnant with twins."
That statement nearly sent the potion's master into shock. He couldn't believe it. Hermione was carrying his children. He put a hand to his forehead and shook his head a few times.
"The date of conception matches the date of the party," Hugo explained. "She is sure they are your children."
"I need to see her," he said. "I need to talk her."
"No," her father said. "She said that she isn't ready to see you. I think she is pretty ashamed of herself."
"I am so sorry about this," he said still shaking his head. "I'm going to be responsible for those kids."
"You bet you are," he said with a snort. "What in the world made you have unprotected sex with my daughter?"
"I told you we were drunk," Severus explained.
"Don't give me that," he said. "She is saying the same damn thing. I know you two were drunk but that isn't all there was to it. You know it and I know it."
The potions master was a little taken back by the statement. Severus had looked at Hermione in the past and thought she was pretty but that was all their was to it. OK. She was smart. He had always admired her brain.
Damn. Perhaps her father was right. He had always had a little thing for her but he had never considered acting on it.
"Am I right?" Hugo asked.
"Somewhat," Severus answered. "I've always admired her mind."
"I knew it," he said with a snort. "I knew you were some kind of pervert."
"I said he mind!" he said raising his voice. "I didn't say her breast."
"You stop right there," Mr. Granger said getting up from the couch. "I will not get into a fight with you. You better leave. I've done my job."
"Tell Hermione to send me an owl when she is ready to talk," Severus said standing up. "Thank you for informing me about Hermione's pregnancy."
"I'll tell her," Hugo promised.
Without another word Severus walked out of the house.
