Supernatural Abyss

The boy was shielding himself and still a tremendous amount of power swirled around him. It sent shivers down her spine and she didn't like it. She hadn't heard of a new power coming to town and made a mental note to talk to Jean-claude about it when she met with him later that evening. But for now she would keep an eye on the young man even though it appeared that she was focused on his cousin.

"Very well Miss Kincaid he can stay but if he makes one move from where he's at I will have him removed from the room." she informed the woman as she began asking her about the attack.
"So tell me what do you remember about the night you were attacked?"

Taking a moment Evelyn let memories of the attack flow through her mind before she answered. "Well miss Blake I was supposed to be meeting a friend of mine at Dead Dave's but it seemed that I had arrived earlier than her. So I sat waiting for a few minutes before she called me letting me know that she couldn't make it and she that she was sorry she couldn't have told me sooner but something had come up."

"After I had hung up with her her I got up and left the bar. It was just after I stepped outside that I heard a loud noise coming from an alleyway about a road up from the bar and decided to go investigate. When I arrived at the mouth to the alley I saw that three Were-Hyena's had a man cornered in the alley. I know I shouldn't have stepped foot in there but I couldn't leave the man there with them. They would have killed him."

It was there that Anita interrupted her story. "Alright let me see if I've got this straight. You were at Dead Dave's meeting a friend who doesn't show up and then you leave the bar. Once you exit the bar you hear a loud noise coming from an alley a short ways from there which you go and investigate finding the trapped man. Am I correct so far?"

"Yes Miss Blake you are." she answered confirming the facts the marshal had gathered from her story so far. "And as I was saying it was then that I noticed that one of the Hyena's had turned its attention to me and was coming my way awfully fast. I didn't even have time to move before it attacked me. I don't even know what happened to the man that was in the alley with them." she added as she looked down at her hands as they lay in her lap.

"I see." she heard the Marshal say slightly before the next question came. "Can you tell me your friends name so if necessary I can contact her? Also can you tell me anything about the man that you saw in the alley or the were that attacked you? And do lastly do you know who brought you into the hospital after the attack?"

Sifting through her memories Evelyn sought out anything that had to do with the man in the alley or her attacker. "My friends name is Trisha Anderson and she is out of town visiting a sink aunt but she should be back in a few days if you want to get a hold of her. I remember that the man was in his late twenties I'd say with blond hair I couldn't see his eyes from where I stood but I would say he was about 5'9" or 5'10". He was wearing dark blue jeans and a black tee shirt. As for my attacker all I can tell you was that it was a hyena and that it was a very dark color. I'm sorry." she told the Marshal as she thought about her last question. "I don't know who got me out of there but I am great-full for the assistance." she added wanting to make sure that she left no reason for Miss Blake to want to question her further.

"Alright Miss Kincaid. I think that will be all for now. I'm going to leave my number with you so if you remember anything about the attack please let me know." Pulling a card from her pocket she handed it to the woman and watched as she read the logo that proclaimed her a federal marshal and her phone number before she lifted her gaze from the card and back to her.

"I will." Evelyn told the Marshal even though she doubted she could add anything to what she had already told her.

Anita then turned her attention to the young man who had remained silent and still the entire time she had been talking to his cousin. She had to admit that the boy had listened to everything she had told him and given her no reason to throw him from the room. Walking over to the door she turned to him "I would appreciate it if you were to remain in the city for a while Mr......?"

"Potter." she heard him say.

"Mr. Potter." she acknowledged before she repeated her demand that he stay in the city.

"I didn't plan on leaving Miss Blake. You can rest assured that I will be here if you want to talk to me." he told her with such resolve that she didn't doubt that he would still be here if she needed to speak with him. Turning back to the door she pulled it open and walked out letting the door shut behind her.
