Chapter 4 – To make it light
As the sun rose above the trees, Hermione woke to the smell of something cooking. She looked over to find Severus, no Professor Snape, no, Ugh, She had no clue what to call him, but Severus was unacceptable. He was bending over a stove making something to eat over the fire she had started last night.
Just thinking about last night, got her agitated all over again. “Are you cooking some of that for me as well” she spat at him.
He cringed at her tone, but did not let it show. Yes, he was a horrible bastard to her yesterday, but he had expected some of her steam to burn off last night. There would be no living with her today at all.
“Well Miss Granger, I was actually making breakfast for the both of us, so when you are ready to eat, just say so, and I will take it out for you.”
Hermione just stood there in shock at his complete attitude change from yesterday. “Maybe all he needed was a nap” she mumbled under her breath. Severus; having impeccable hearing, just smiled, and decided to make a point to be more pleasant to her.
Maybe this would be a good trip after all.

They had begun walking again around ten in the morning, with Snape going out of his way to be nice, and Hermione just grumbling along. So far, they had passes a creek, and several caves, but none were the one they were looking for.
When they stopped for lunch, Hermione decided to ask some questions about the trip and how they got there, seeing as how he had completely dropped the subject the night before.
“What exactly was the spell you used that got us here, and why did you do it” she asked, her know it all attitude showing its full colors.
“Well, if you must know, it is a spell I invented just for this purpose, although I had planned on taking the trip alone, the situation called for me to change my plans”. She nodded, and he continued, by this time, they had stopped walking, and he was turned to face her, both of them just standing in the middle of the pathway.
“The spell is called the Timeline spell, and the words you utter to activate it are, Peragro Aetas*. The only problem is, the caster has to be in the exact location of the place that they wish to travel back to is, and also know the exact date and time they wish to arrive at. Going forward however, is something totally different".
“As for the reason I brought you here, I decided at the last minute to do so, because seeing as how I needed help solving how to return, I figured I would get you to help me solve it, rather than have you killed at the hands of the dark lord”.
She took a moment to absorb this new information, and decided she would push to get him to answer one more question since he was in such a good mood. “Professor, what exactly are we looking for in the cave”?
He hesitated a moment before answering her, but finally decided that it would do no harm. “We are looking for the Corollarium un Umbra Decessus**, or better known as the Shadow Death Flower. I have reason to believe that once induced into a potion I have made, we can use it against the dark lord to effectively kill off his remaining soul without allowing him to come back through the remaining pieces”.
She just looked at him as though Christmas had come early.
As he started walking again, she yelled out his name, thinking she wanted to ask him some more questions, he turned around with an annoyed look on his face. Only to be stopped short of saying any rude remark by the fact that she was pointing to the exact cave they needed.

My life has been crazy, Thank you all so much for the reviews, I hope to get alot more feedback on this in the future.
