THURSDAY A.M.
Hermione quickly grabbed her parchments and files from her desk; she wanted to be out of the office before he came into work this morning. She just couldn’t face him. She had almost let herself get tangled within the insane sexually manipulated life that is Draco Malfoy. As much as she wanted him, she knew he would never leave his life of ‘love ‘em and leave ‘em’ just for her and she couldn’t deal with a one night stand, not with the man she had to work with for the rest of her career. It would just be too damn awkward. Even if something did come out of it, relationship wise, what would happen if it didn’t work out and had to face each other in the office, sitting not three feet from one another. That settled it, she would explain to him that it just wasn’t possible, they couldn’t be together. Fine. Great. Perfect. Problem Resolved.
‘Okay, so why do I feel like crap?’

Draco didn’t sleep all night and this morning left him utterly exhausted. Climbing into the shower he turned the water cold until it ran shivers down his spine. No matter how hard he tried to push the thoughts from his mind, he just couldn’t do it. The feel of her underneath him yesterday left him feeling euphoric. The smell of her skin, the warmth of her body and most of all her passion filled eyes had left him with no doubt that she wanted it as much as he did.
Unbeknownst to her he had been celibate for the last three months. He had realized his feelings for her were growing stronger. He couldn’t look at another witch without comparing them to her. They all left him unfulfilled, there was no spark; they were all either too tall, too thin, too blonde and most of all no where near the intelligence his Hermione had.
‘Whoa’ his Hermione?
Swallowing the lump in his throat he stepped from the shower, toweled himself off and began his grooming ritual for work when he noticed a light red mark on his shoulder. A smile passed over his face as his fingers gently brushed the small love mark she had left upon him. He didn’t even remember her giving it to him, not surprisingly, since he lost all rational thought when she had finally relented to his advances and had given him a small taste of herself in the storage room, then nearly killing him with her offer at the café. He was actually quite surprised he hadn’t splinched himself when he Apparated them to his bedroom. Nothing would make him happier than having Hermione Granger in his life for more than just work.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts he finished getting ready for work. It was still early for him to go in, but maybe he could get a few things done before his world was once again thrown into the haze filled euphoria of Hermione Granger.

Hermione had everything she needed, checking twice to be sure she hadn’t forgotten anything; she did not want to run unto Malfoy. Closing the door behind her she made her way to the lift. Waiting patiently her mind began to wander over the events that transpired yesterday afternoon. Flashes of his smiling face above her, his Adonis like chest under her finger tips made her knees feel like jelly. Gripping the wall near the lift she took a deep breath to calm herself. Finally as the doors to the lift opened she gasped when the man of deep seated desires walked out looking like a gift from the Gods. His button up tailored white shirt hidden beneath the sharp black robes, his perfectly shined “Osmond” black leather slip on shoes; his hair was pristinely pulled back shining brightly under the lights. Her insides clenched with desire, mentally forcing her hands to stay at her sides rather than wrap around the man before her, they literally itched to run through his gorgeous locks of flaxen silk.
When he looked down at her, the expression of pure desire on his face momentarily burned the saliva from her mouth. Her eyes locked with his as a hard shudder ran through him. His smile faded to burn her with an expression of unfulfilled want.
“Hermione”
“Draco”
They both spoke, a soft whisper leaving their lips as each took a tentative step towards the other. Hermione’s brain was screaming at her to ‘stop, don’t move’ her body moved of its own volition, shutting out the electric current her brain was sending to her legs and arms. She found herself wrapped in his tight embrace before she even knew she had moved. His face was buried in her curls, breathing her in deeply. The moment her body fused with his, the moan he released set off a tremor through her womb that parted her lips.
Gathering as much will power possible at the moment Hermione’s hands gently pushed his shoulders, putting a small space between them.
“Draco, I can’t do this” she exclaimed quietly but urgently, unable to meet his gaze for fear of losing too much of herself in his rapture.
“Hermione, if it’s Weasley I understand, I can respect that but please don’t tell me you can’t feel it. I know what I saw yesterday; please don’t deny there’s something there. Something amazing.”
Tears filled her eyes. She wanted to tell him it was exactly what she wanted, that Ron was no longer a barrier keeping her from him. She wanted to get lost in his eyes; feel comfort in his arms; come undone beneath his sweat covered, writhing body. Her throat was closing in, no words could escape her and before she could utter a word she stepped into the lift just before the doors closed, leaving a stunned and hurt looking Draco standing on the other side.

Draco watched the doors close on his heart. He couldn’t lose her, not now that he’d almost had her. He had no idea where she lived, not that that would be a good idea showing up on her doorstep. Slowly making his way to the office his brain running through so many scenario’s he was actually getting dizzy. Sitting behind his desk he noticed his calendar was marked for an appointment this morning. Looking closer it read, ‘Meeting with Hollingsworth and Neumeyer 9am”
He’d found her. He knew her better than anyone and was quite positive the place to find her would be after their meeting.
Quickly wrapping up his morning work he made his way to the meeting, fully intending to have it out with Hermione one way or another.

“Well, I think that wraps it up gentlemen. I thank you for taking the time to meet with me and I’ll be sure to call you if we need anything else. Have a good day”
Shaking both men’s hands she walked out of the office and into the lobby. It was only 10:30, to early for lunch. Her stomach clenched at the thought. She always had lunch with Draco. Stepping out into the cool air she made her way back to the Ministry when an arm wrapped around her waist, she immediately felt the squeeze of Apparation and found herself in front of a small settee in an unfamiliar room. The arms wrapped around her waist tightened as she felt a hot breath on her neck.
“Please don’t leave again until we can talk” came a whispered plea.
