No Way In Hell

A/N: There are DH spoilers in this chapter, although they have been twisted a bit to fit my story line. Remember before you send me flamers that this is not cannon and I have never claimed to write cannon. I have played with JKR’s plot to make it more to my liking. I hate that our favorite professor has died, so he is now alive again in all of my stories. I am having one person die in this story in the final battle that actual lived because it fits my plot better. I have made these changes because I like them this way, so sorry if you are offended. This is the way it is in my story. Also, my favorite characters are the twins, so you know what has not happened in any of my stories!!

Blaise stormed into the Slytherin common room slamming the door behind him. He was furious with the little blood-traitor and was still picking glue off of his face. “How dare her?” he seethed.

“What’s on your face, Zabini?” Draco asked him.

“Bloody hell! I have no idea! Weasley did this to me?”

“Which one?”

“That damn little minx I’m to marry! She didn’t like that little contract that my mother insists everyone marrying into the family sign.”

Draco snorted. “Do you blame her?”

“She’s the one lucky enough to be marrying into my family!” he hissed.

“Give it up, Blaise. You know that you couldn’t have been happier. You’ve liked her for the past year.”

“I told you before, I am not interested in the little blood-traitor.”

“You might as well get used to it. You haven’t got much choice in the matter now, do you?”

“I don’t have to like it!”

Draco laughed. “The problem is, that you like it to much. If I were you I would get rid of the blood-traitor comment. If she hears you calling her or any of her family members that, she’ll do a lot more than put crap across your mouth!”

“So how do I get it off?”

Draco flicked his wand across Blaise’s mouth and the tape residue disappeared.

“Hey, thanks!”

“So why is your mother insisting on the contract with Weasley? I thought she only did that with the men she married. It’s not like the Weasley’s have any money, and if they did, there would be seven of them to split it between.”

“It’s because of the children we might have. She wants to retain custody of them if something happens to me.”

“What is she planning on knocking you off now, too? I thought she only did that to her husbands. What is she up to now, eight?”

Blaise rolled his eyes. “She always wanted a daughter. I think if we presented her with a grand-daughter she would probably kill Ginny and I off.”

Draco rolled with laughter. “You’re mother is so strange! You know, Ginny is the first female Weasley born in several generations. Chances are you will probably have males.”

“My father’s family has had only males as well.”

“Finally found out who he was?”

“Yeah. I did the paternity parchment on my seventeenth birthday.”

“So who was he? I would assume he is dead as your mother has a habit of killing all of her spouses.”

“Actually she was never married to him, and he is very much still alive.”

“So?” Draco demanded.

“It’s Kingsley Shacklebolt.”

“What?” Draco demanded. “Your father is the Minister of Magic?” he demanded. “Does he know about you?”

“If he does, he has never acknowledged it.”

“Did you tell your mother that you know?”

“God’s no! She has made it a point to keep it from me my entire life. I’m not about to tell her. She’d kill me for doing that test!”

“Wow! I can’t believe it. Your father was instrumental in over throwing Voldemort.”

“I know,” he muttered. “Another blood traitor,” he said.

“Actually, I’m not sure that he’s a pureblood. Nobody knows anything about him.”

“I checked. He’s actually from Africa, not England. He is a pureblood though. He has never married and has no other children that I am aware of. His family is rather extensive though. He has six younger brothers. It’s kind of strange to know that I have a family, yet I can’t acknowledge them.”

“Yeah. Your mother likes me, and I’m still terrified of them.”

“Actually, she hates you too. She only tolerates you because of who you are.”

“What?” Draco demanded. “I thought you said she liked me!”

“I lied. That woman doesn’t like anyone. It’s better just to stay as far from her as possible. She’s like a black widow spider killing all of those that get close to her.”

“So where are you and Ginny going to live?”

“My grandparents left me their manor. I thought Mum would blow the place up when she found out, but they made me their secret keeper and the house is unplottable. They wanted me to have something that she couldn’t destroy or keep from me.”

“Wow! When did that happen? Does she know that you’re the secret keeper?”

“I think that she suspects. I actually wanted to make you the keeper now. It’s better than someone besides me is. I talked to the attorney and we can go anytime we want to change it. He doesn’t want to know whom I choose and doesn’t want to be told the new location. I think he’s a bit afraid of my mum as well.”

“You know that you’ll have to tell the Weasley’s.”

“I know. I can’t believe that I am going to be married into that family!”

“So when is your wedding?”

“You mean if she signs the paper and shows up? The thirty-first. My mum and Molly Weasley have been planning it.”

“God’s how’s that going?”

“Apparently they’re getting along well.”

“Doesn’t surprise me any. Molly Weasley can hold her own against anyone. She was the one to kill Aunt Bellatrix, you know.”

“I didn’t know that!” he said excitedly. “How did she manage that?” he demanded.

“Apparently she went after Ginny and Molly went after her. Molly was the better dueler. She is known to protect her family.”

“Hopefully she doesn’t kill me!”

“Better learn to get along with her daughter then! You know you’re already attracted to her. Keep your mouth closed and you should be fine.”

“Easy for you to say. I’m marrying someone I’ve barely spoken a dozen sentences to my entire life!”

“Yeah, and I’m marrying Granger! You think that’s going to be easy?”

Blaise laughed. “Those two are friends, I’m not sure that one is easier than the other.”

Ginny was furious! How dare that slimy git think that his family would keep her children! She would never sign something as ridiculous as that! She walked towards her dorm and then thought better of it. She needed to speak with her mother. Perhaps Professor McGonagall would allow her to floo her mum.

“Miss Weasley! I was just looking for you. Your mother is here and needs to speak with you,” Professor Snape said.

“And you were bringing me the message?” she asked in shock. She couldn’t imagine Severus Snape ever playing messenger to anyone.

“Headmistress McGonagall has been bombarded with angry parents all day. As I was walking this way anyway I volunteered to give you the message. By the way, Miss Weasley, your mother is in one of her moods,” he said walking away.

“Thanks, Professor,” she called to him. She had a feeling that she knew what had her mother so upset. She turned and headed towards the headmistress’ office.

When she came to the statue blocking the entrance she found her mother standing there waiting. “Ginny!” she said hugging her only daughter tightly.

“Mum! I was going to ask Professor McGonagall if I could floo you!” she said.

“The contract?” she asked in disgust.

Ginny nodded. “I am not signing any contract that gives my children to another family!” she hissed.

Molly nodded. “I agree. Mrs. Zabini is demanding that either you sign the contract or her son won’t marry you.”

“Good! I don’t want to marry that git anyway!”

“Ginny! If you don’t marry him you will loose your wand!”

“If he refuses to marry me then it won’t be my fault. The Ministry can’t punish me for his refusal to marry me.”

“Your father and I have an appointment with Kingsley Shacklebolt later today to discuss this. We need to know what our options are. I don’t know that it is legal for him to force you to sign the contract. I have a feeling that others have been bullied into it and have just signed it without really knowing what they were getting themselves into. We, however, will not allow that to happen to you.”

“I haven’t even seen the contract, Mum. The only thing that I know of is what Blaise told about the children remaining with his family.”

Molly pulled a parchment out of her pocket and handed it to her daughter. “They sent it to us because you are still underage and we would need to sign for you. You can bet that we will not be signing this document!” she said in disgust.

Ginny looked down at the document and gasped at what she read.

Ginny was horrified at what she had read. That family actually thought that she would sign something like that? That contract basically just gave Zabini the right to kill her, take her children, and nobody could do a damn thing about it! Ginny was so furious she was seeing red!

“We’ll see about this!” she shouted marching off towards the Slytherin dorms.

“Ginny!” her mother shouted.

“I’ll take care of this, Mum!” she yelled. “Stay here!” She could almost feel the anger radiating out of her body. She tried to control her temper, but it was no use. She was too far-gone. A moment later she stood in front of the Slytherin entrance banging on the door. She knew where the entrance was because she had watched Crabbe and Goyle leave it once when she had been spying on them.

A minute later a third year opened the door. She shoved past the startled student and walked into the common room. “Where the hell is Zabini?” she demanded to the few students that were in the room.

When nobody answered she started screaming his name. “Blaise Zabini! Blaise Zabini get your sorry arse down here now!” she screeched at the top of her lungs. She yelled several more times before he appeared at the top of the stairs.

“Ginny?” he asked in shock.

“Get down here now, Zabini!” she hissed at him.

Before he thought better of it he started walking down the steps automatically obeying her. He was used to furious, demanding women. At the bottom of the stairs he seemed to find his wits and he stopped. Her face was red and angry and her brown eyes flashed fire to match her hair. She was breath taking and he could barely take her eyes off of her.

“How dare you! How dare you, you slimy git! If you think for one moment that I would ever sign this fucking contract you are out of your mind! Who the hell do you think that you are demanding that I sign this trash?” she screamed throwing the parchment at him. “I would rather spend my life as a squib that agree to this!”

Blaise picked up the parchment from the ground and looked down at it. He read the words and was shocked to see that it was not the contract that his mother had owled him. As he continued to read he could understand her anger. He would never have agreed to something as ludicrous as this either. He wouldn’t have even signed his name to it as a groom. The contract pretty much gave him leave to do away with his wife and her family could do nothing about it.

“Ginny,” he started.

“Don’t, just don’t! Keep your lies to yourself, because I am not listening to you! I will not now, nor will I ever agree to something like that! I can’t believe that you would ever even ask that of me!” she screamed turning and walking out the door.

“Ginny!” he shouted after her. He watched his only chance at happiness walk out the door.
