I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Shite!
Harry woke up first and stared down and his and Draco’s tangled bodies. The night before had been amazing. He didn’t know that it could be like that. He stretched and then groaned when certain parts of his anatomy ached. They had been a bit rough. Harry looked down at Draco’s sleeping face and felt his heart race. He was so beautiful. In sleep, Draco looked like an angel. He had soft skin and an angelic expression. He looked peaceful and relaxed, a look that Harry had not seen on the man before.
Harry grabbed his wand and flicked it mumbling a cleaning charm on both of them. He knew how fastidious Draco was regarding his appearance and he didn’t want him to wake up to the dirty feeling that he did. He flicked his wand one last time to check the time and almost had a heart attack. The had ten minutes to get to their potions class! Snape might let Draco get away with being late, but he would never allow Harry to go unpunished. With a smile of regret he shook the sleeping wizard awake.
“Draco, wake up.”
“Hmm,” he mumbled.
“Draco, we have ten minutes to get to potions class!”
“What? Shit, move, Potter!” Draco said jumping out of bed.
Harry tried to hide his disappointment of Draco’s use of his last name. He had hoped that after the night that they had shared they would be past that. Swallowing back a nasty retort he shoved his wand in his pocket and followed Draco out of the door.
“I have to get my book from the dungeon so I’ll see you in class,” Draco said running in the opposite direction without even acknowledging the closeness that they had shared.
Harry watched the man running away from him and tried not to think of how he felt as if his world had just ended. “It was just a one night stand,” Harry muttered. He felt a deep soul wrenching disappointment. “I should have known better.”
Draco raced down the halls to the dungeons intent on grabbing his books. He knew that his godfather wouldn’t take house points away for his tardiness, but he would give him that “look” that would make him feel guilty the rest of the day. The one person in his life that he hated to disappoint was his godfather. He had been there for him through every difficult time in his life.
Draco tried not to think of what had transpired the night before. He wasn’t ready to analyze his feelings for Harry yet. He had never experienced anything like what had happened last night. He had a feeling that he knew what was going on and he needed to get a book from the library to figure it out for sure. He prayed that what he thought wasn’t actually what had happened. His life would be over if it was.
Harry sat at the Gryffindor table with his friends trying to pretend that he was enjoying himself. Dinner was the usual feast, but he had no appetite. Draco had not said a single word to him all day and he tried not to let it bother him. He used every bit of his willpower not to turn around and look for him across the room.
“Harry, what’s wrong?” Hermione whispered in his ear.
“Nothing,” he mumbled.
“Harry James Potter! I know you and I know that something is wrong!” she demanded.
Harry looked around Hermione to Ron who was busy talking with Dean. “Can we talk for a minute alone?”
Hermione grabbed his hand and pulled him up. “Ron, we’re going to the library to study, do you want to come?” she asked knowing what his answer would be.
“Study? The last week of school? Are you nuts? Harry, mate, don’t let her drag you to the library!” Ron exclaimed.
Harry laughed at his predictable friend. “I have to finish my transfiguration essay,” he lied.
“Oi, mate, even I have that one done!”
The two friends walked to the library laughing over how predictable Ron was. When they got to the library Harry pulled her to a table in the far back corner. “I have a problem, and I don’t know what to do.” Harry told her everything that had transpired in the past several days leaving out no details. He had learned long ago that if he tried to she would just worm them out of him later anyway.
“Wow, Harry! Hold on a second and let me grab a book. I think I might have an idea.” She said jumping up and disappearing behind a row of books. Minutes later she returned and sat down and thumbed through several pages.
“Oh, Harry,” she whispered looking up at him with wonder in her eyes.
“What?” he demanded.
“When you and Malfoy were together, did you notice a glowing blue light around you?”
Harry snorted. “The only thing I could think of was shagging him as fast as I could. The last thing I was looking for was glowing blue lights.”
“So after the first time that you touched, when you shook hands and felt that spark, that’s when you started obsessing about Malfoy?”
Harry nodded his head. “Yeah,”
“How do you feel now? Are you still feeling the need to be with him?”
“No, not like before. I feel disappointed that he is ignoring me, but I don’t feel like I will come unglued if we don’t touch.”
“Harry, I think that you and Malfoy are soul mates.”
“What?”
“Soul mates, Harry. You have all the classic symptoms.”
“I thought that soul mates were just something that they talked about in the Muggle romance novels.”
“No, they are really rare, there hasn’t been a soul bonded pair in like two hundred years. The ministry used to keep a book on soul mates. As soon as they were born the names would automatically appear in this book. It was a really big deal. The Wizarding world bends over backwards to make sure that the soul bounded couple get together.”
“What happened to the book?”
“It disappeared about the same time that Voldemort did the first time.”
“And there is only one book?”
“No, there is another one. It is kept with the soul guardian, but nobody knows who that is.”
“Great, so now you say that I am soul bounded with Draco Malfoy? Gods, Hermione, he wouldn’t even look at me today!”
“There’s more, Harry,” she said trying not to let the panic show in her face.
“What?”
“When a soul bound couple comes together, it is possible that they will conceive.”
“Conceive? In case you haven’t noticed, Mione, I am a male!”
“That is the only time a male can become pregnant. If his soul mate is another male.”
“What? Are you saying that I could have gotten pregnant?”
“The book says that if the wizard is powerful enough, then he can conceive. Both you and Malfoy are very powerful wizards in your own right. Together your magic would be a force to be reckoned with.”
“So which one of us would conceive?” Harry asked.
“Ummm,” she blushed, “who was on the bottom?”
Harry felt the heat rising to his face. “We both were.”
“Then theoretically, you both can conceive. There has never been a case where both partners have conceived, and not in all cases did either partner conceive.”
“Great,” Harry said knowing that with his luck he would carry triplets.
Hermione looked at Harry and her thoughts were about the same. “I can do a test.”
“To see if I am pregnant?” Harry asked incredulously. “Do you know how foreign that sounds to me? Never in my wildest fantasies did I ever envision that I would become pregnant!”
Hermione could sympathize with her friend. In the Muggle world things like this never happened. “Do you want me to do it?”
“Might as well,” he said.
“Stand up and lift your shirt up.”
Harry stood and pulled his shirt up to his chest. He watched as Hermione mumbled a few words and flicked her wand at his belly. Moments later a blue light glowed brightly on his stomach.
Hermione gasped. “Harry!”
“Am I pregnant?” he gulped.
“It’s a boy,” she said trying not to cry.
“Shite!” the dark haired wizard said and flopped back down into his chair in stunned disbelief.
A/N: Well? What do you think? I love reviews! All the nice ones that I got yesterday motivated me to write today, so the more you review, the faster that I write!
