Lost Mark

A/N: Well I'm still figuring things out and sorry I haven't been working on my other stories much. Hitting a bit of writters block again still doing my best though.

Severus paced inside of Grimwald place with the other members of the Order. Dumbledore was sitting at his table looking very worried. He looked at Severus a few times as the Potions Master paced. Remus Lupin was also sitting at the table looking lost. Severus sneered at Remus for a moment. He knew the werewolf now had no pack, Harry being the last member of what the foolish werewolf thought of as a pack.

“Severus we need to get you back into Voldemort’s inner circle do you have any idea on how to do that?” Albus asked as the others frowned at the idea.

“No I don’t see how. Unless I bring critical information or something else to the Dark Lord soon I see no way.” Severus said. Remus frowned then turned to Albus his amber eyes hard.

“Albus we need to save Harry now! Who knows what type of torture he’s going through?” Remus cried out shaking violently. Severus mentally smirked at the mention of torture. Tom would never harm Harry on purpose, not now at least. Severus glanced once more at the angry Remus.

“Remus calm down. We don’t even know where Harry is being held. If he is even still alive.” Albus said softly to Remus who threw his head back and actually howled in pain shocking the other members of the order.

“Remus let’s leave these men to talk, and go upstairs I’ll get you a calming drought.” Severus said actually holding his hand out to the werewolf. Remus looked over at Severus in surprise at the man's offer but slowly took the man's hand.

“Thank you for helping Remus Severus. This proves that you can get over old feelings.” Albus said. Severus growled in his throat silently as he listened to Albus. He then glanced at Remus again as he lead the werewolf up to one of the bedrooms. He entered the room with the man and shut the door. Then he turned and cast several locking and silencing spells over the room and door.

“Remus I have a question for you. What version of werewolf are you? Alpha or common?” Severus asked as he searched his robes for the calming drought.

“Why are you asking me that Snape?” Remus asked with a slight glare. Severus sighed as he held the potion for Remus. Severus frowned then shut his eyes taking a long deep breath.

“As an Alpha Werewolf you have a mate, I know this from studying. If you are an Alpha then why would you stand for anyone that willingly put someone under the Slintar ritual.” Severus said. Remus snarled at the mention of the Slintar ritual his amber eyes narrowing even more.

“Why do you ask about the Slintar ritual and who put someone under it?” Remus growled his teeth actually sharpening as though he could to a point control the ability to transform.

“Ahh then you didn’t know good James Potter performed the Slintar ritual with help from Albus upon Harry. Albus went and forgot to renew it on his 16th birthday.” Severus said. Remus stiffened then looked at Severus in shock.

“James wouldn’t do that.” Remus said. He blinked his amber eyes a few times as Severus shook his head sadly.

”Yes he would Remus. He choose me as his target for bullying because I have vampire blood. He was friends with you to hide the fact that he and his family were all racist against magical creatures.” Severus said. Remus blinked then fell back sitting on the bed as he held out his hand for the potion.

“Okay then if that’s true where is Harry now?” Remus asked softly as he drank down the calming drought. Severus moved over and leaned against the wall looking at Remus with a slight smirk.

“Harry is with the person he should be with right now. The creature that Harry is the mate to, is trying to make Harry fall in love with him now.” Severus said softly. Remus frowned at the way Severus’ voice hitched when he said creature. Remus frowned a bit in thought at the way Severus was acting then blinked his amber eyes.

“Severus what are you not telling me?” Remus growled worry tinting his voice. He growled a bit more shaking his head more. Severus took a long deep breath and frowned a bit.

“The dark lord is a part Incubus, Harry is his mate.” Severus said softly. Remus stiffened with those worlds then snarled and grabbed onto Severus tightly slamming him into a wall. He eyes going fully fairly as claws grew from his hands. He tightened his grip as Severus winced.

“V-Vol-Voldemort is the creature Harry was born for! That is impossible!” Remus screamed. He slammed Severus into the wall again the wall cracking a bit. Severus finally snarled his eyeteeth lengthening and becoming fangs. He grabbed onto Remus’ arms and pulled them free before pushing Severus back.

“He isn’t going to harm the brat. Harry is his mate so he won’t. Things are not as they appear Remus look at me.” Severus snarled his fangs glinting as his eyes went from black to violet then back to black. Remus released Severus slowly then moved away a bit.

“You do have vampire blood.” Remus gasped in surprise as Severus smirked. Remus sighed then shut his eyes as his wolf calmed down.

“I told you I was. Now Remus do you want to hear the truth about what is going on or do you want to be used for the rest of your life?” Severus asked tilting his head a bit. Remus began to pace then looked once more at Severus.

“Why should I listen or believe anything you say?” Remus growled not willing to trust Severus anymore. Severus frowned a bit tilting his head in thought as he moved towards the door.

“Because he is trying to make Harry happy and you being able to visit Harry would make him happy. In fact the Dark Lord is trying to find a way to bring Black back from behind the veil as well.” Severus said. Remus looked at Severus in shock then tilted his head a bit more.

“You didn’t snarl Black as badly as you usually do Severus is there something I don’t know?” Remus asked getting curious now. Severus sighed and lowered his head.

“Because of James, I never approached my mate. Anyways I’ll let you come to a decision. When you are ready come to me and let me know. Make sure Albus doesn’t find out about this.” Severus warned as he walked out of the room once he had removed all the spells. Remus watched then sat down and rubbed at his face feeling more confused than ever.

Later that evening Remus stood and slipped quietly out of the bedroom. He slowly walked down the stairs stopping just outside of the kitchen. He could hear the voices of Moody, Shacklebolt, Arthur and Albus inside the room. They were talking to each other softly.

“So do we know who the brats creature mate is?” Moody asked in a snarl.

“If we did we could find him easily. Then we would have to get him back under your thumb so that we can get rid of Riddle.” Shacklebolt snarled.

“Oh shut up we need to kill the partial Veela that is my Ginny’s creature mate before he claims her.” Arthur snarled. He had stood up by the sounds happening within the kitchen. Remus frowned nervously as he listened.

“Arthur I know you want to prevent her from being stuck in that relationship but there is more problems if we can’t keep making Riddle look like an insane megalomaniac.” Albus pointed out with a slight frown.

“Oh come on people are to naïve to figure out the truth. They have forgotten that Riddle was campaigning for better rights to the magical creatures and not pureblood supremacy.” Moody said with a slight snicker.

“Oh shut up, I don’t want my Gin taking by some filthy creature blood!” Arthur snarled. Remus moved away then quickly left the house. He couldn’t stand what they were talking about. Severus had been right all along he couldn’t believe it. He saw Tonks and grabbed onto her tightly shaking.

“Remus what is wrong?” The woman asked as Remus shook violently.

“Tonks what do you believe about the wizards with creature blood?” Remus asked fearfully.

“They are part of our society and should be treated us such.” Tonks said and stiffened in surprise as Remus went limp in her arms.

“Thank you Tonks for saying that. I just got the worst surprise of my life today.” Remus said then told Tonks what he had overheard. She stiffened her eyes going wide.

“You have to be wrong Remus, if what you are saying is correct that means everything we believe in…” Tonks trailed off slowly.

“I know, oh Remus I can’t go back now.” Tonks said softly. Remus nodded then started to move away from Grimwald Place. They walked together then apparated to the edge of the wards around Hogwarts.

“We will go talk to Severus from there we will figure out our path.” Remus said. Tonks agreed as they walked towards the school.
