chapter 5
a/n – well who the third person is will not be revealed until later. Guess and I might reveal it to that person… lol.. and please review
and sorry for not being able to add a chapter sooner, its been hell in school and work and I have barely time to do my homework. But I hope you’ll like this chapter too.
Chapter 5
Draco opened his eyes and enjoyed holding the warm body next to him, he looked at the alarm clock next to his bed and felt shock run his veins. Breakfast was over and 5 minutes to the first class, he pushed Hermione lightly off him, and put on his clothes as he yelled to Hermione to wake up, that it was only five minutes to class and that they had to hurry up to not be late to class. Hermione woke up and saw Draco dress up in a hurry, she looked at the clock and looked shocked and yelled
“why didn’t you wake me up sooner”
“I just woke up a minute ago myself” he answered
“its potions class first, but we can’t show up together” Hermione said
“then you go first, I’ll come a few minutes later. Snape won’t give me detention or take house points”
They ran down the corridor to the potions room and Draco let Hermione run first and she arrived only just before Snape did. Draco waited until five minutes was done of the class.
He walked in with his usual smirk on his face, and took his seat. Snape looked up and on him, but said nothing, like Draco knew. Snape had been the friend of the Malfoy family for years, or since they had all been at Hogwarts together, and since James, Sirius and Remus had not wanted to be friends with Snape.
When all the class had ended that day it was time for dinner. Hermione and Draco only saw glimpse of each other and could not wait until they could be together in their common room and just sit tight together and talk about everything.
Hermione sat there with a longing smile on her face looking in front of her and her friends looked at her with a smirk, not seeing where she was looking, because they just thought that she was looking in the air, but the fact was that she was looking at him.
Draco saw her looking at him with a longing smile and smirked to himself, he was thinking the same thing that she did, it only didn’t show because he had practiced over the years not to show what he was thinking.
“Hey, Hermione, are you all right”
Hermione looked around her with a startled face, and saw her friends smirk at her. Hermione looked down embarrassed and her friends laughed lightly at her, knowing that she must have been thinking about her boyfriend, who they didn’t know who was, but were keen to get to know. They would never in million years think that her boyfriend was the infamous Draco Malfoy they all knew and loathed, and boy they would be in for a big shock.
“Yes, I’m fine thank you” Hermione said “what were you all talking about” she asked
“we were just thinking maybe you and your boyfriend would like to join us in the common room after dinner” Harry said
“I would love that, but he was going to be with his friends tonight, and I was just gonna be in my common room reading and studying for the classes tomorrow” Hermione said
“why don’t you just come with us to our common room instead of being in you common room in which Malfoy can walk into any minute” Ron said, not liking it one bit that she would have to have a common room with the ferret.
“ok, I think I can do that, but just for about half an hour, or so, because I need to finish my school work so I won’t be put down from the head girl status” Hermione said.
Draco went to the hallway first to wait for Hermione and was a little disappointed when her friends showed up with her.
“what are you doing here, ferret” Ron asked
“well I was just waiting for Granger here so we could try to call all the prefects for a prefects meeting if you have to know, or at least to know when we could have a prefects meeting” Draco said, looking at Hermione with his famous sneer on his face.
“we can do it tomorrow” Hermione said hoping that he would take the hint “I’m going to spend the night with my friends if you don’t mind”
“well, well lucky you” Draco said with sarcasm in his voice. “ I didn’t know that you could have a decent conversation with these dunderheads”
“ watch it Ferret” Ron said “or maybe you want to bounce of the walls like you did few years ago. I know I would love to do that to you”
“so you are better with your wand now” Draco said sarcastically “ like when you were gonna hit me with the slug curse”
Draco laughed out loud at this point, but still looked at Hermione and let her know that he could take the hint.
“guys, just come on, don’t waist your time picking on him” Hermione said and led them to the Gryffindor common room.
An hour later, when she could finally escape her friends, Hermione walked to her common room, and found Draco asleep on their sofa. She walked to him and kissed him lightly on the mouth, until he woke up, and he woke up with a smile on his lips.
“what a nice way to wake up” Draco said
“yes I know, that’s how I wake up every morning” Hermione said with a smirk on her lips.
“what do you say about that we’ll go to get our school books and meet back in this sofa, do our homework, and then we can read a good book together” Hermione said.
“always with school on your mind” Draco said “ but I like the idea, just if I can choose the book”
“no problem” Hermione said, and ran to get her books, and when she got back down Draco was already sitting in the sofa but she couldn’t see the book he said he was gonna choose for them too read. She walked to him and sat down next to him, and they helped each other with their school work and were less than a half an hour to finish their homework.
“so I’m dying of curiosity of what book you chose for us to read” Hermione said after putting her books away.
“why don’t you just lay down with your back against my chest, and I’ll read to you” Draco said
Hermione laid down on him and closed her eyes waiting for him to begin reading out loud.
“Two households, both alike in dignity,” Draco began “In fair Verona where we lay our scene, From ancient grudge break new mutiny, Where civil blood will make civil hands unclean. From the forth the fatal loins of these two foes, A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life; Whose misadventured piteous overthrows Doth with their death bury their parents’ strife. The fearful passage of their death-marked love, and the continuance of their parents’ rage, Which, but their children’s end, nought could remove, Is now the two hours’ traffic of our stage; The which, if you with patient ears attend, What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.”
“mmmm… I love this story” Hermione began “ about two lovers that cannot have each others because of their families. Its so sad ending though, both Romeo and Juliet die for their love.”
“I know” Draco said “it’s almost like us. No one will accept us because of our families, but I hope that our ending will be a more happy one”
“I know how we can write each other so that no one will know who is writing” Hermione began “we can just sign our letters Romeo, and Juliet and no one will know that its us that are writing each others”
“it’s a brilliant idea” Draco said “but won’t everybody think that its weird that just you and me are always with letters but no one else”
“well, yes they might” Hermione said
“I might know of a way that we can communicate with each others through books, like the diary that Tom Riddle had” Draco said enthusiastically to Hermione.
“that would be clever” Hermione said “no one would be surprised to se me with a book, but would they be surprised to see you with a book?”
“no” Draco said “ you are not the only one who likes books. Like I read muggle books also, when I got to Paris I went accidentally to a movie and I got hooked on the movies that they showed, so I bought some books after muggles and wanted to know what I had been missing all these years”
“wow. I never thought that you would have liked muggle things” Hermione said
“well, when you like a muggle, you might get to know what she has known all her life”
He leaned towards her lips and kissed her lightly. They read for a little while longer and then retired to bed for the evening.
