Complete Confusion: Chapter Five

Draco woke up, his head splitting apart as he lay on the ground in Snape’s office. He moaned slightly as pain washed over his body, every where hurt, from his splitting head to his throbbing feet. He sat up and noticed the cuts on his wrists and legs, he tried to remember what happened, but after Snape came to him…there was nothing. Blissfully nothing. His wrists and ankles were cut in a way it looked like he had been tied up, but even as he forced himself to remember, there was nothing.
"Draco…" A spectral voice hissed in his ear. "Draco…I know…I know all" The voice hissed once more. "I’ll show you…I’ll show you…" The voice stated, and Draco suddenly recognized it. It was the voice of his Master, the voice of the Dark Lord was whispering right in his ear. Without even knowing it he tried to get up…but realized just how much pain his body was in and fell to the ground, his eyes wide at the pain Snape had caused.
"Draco…get up…I’ll show you…I can explain it all…and help you…" The voice said, and Draco could sense the urgency in his voice. He got up this time, and limped out of Snape’s office and eventually to the Slytherin’s common room. Crabbe and Goyle gave him the one over and tried to come near him, but the dazed look in his eyes- the feral look in his eyes- stopped them cold. He was feverish, and quickly went upstairs to his dorm room.
“Yes Master?” Draco said colasping under the window.
“Draco…” The voice said and started from the last thing Draco remembered.

“His dommates found him under the window, as if he had been trying to climb out.” Snape said, standing over his pupils limp form in the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey looked down on the figure lying on her bed and looked back at Snape.
“Well, Thank you Professor, I’ll take it from here.” She said nibbling on her bottom lip. Snape nodded and swept out of the hospital wing, after making sure he was gone, Madam Pomfrey sent an inter-castle owl to the Headmaster’s office.

“Head Master;
I think you should take a look at some alarming…”

She paused, not sure what to put next.

“Just come down to my wing.
Thanks,

Poppy”

Dumbledore folded his hands over after he looked at the note, trying to figure out why Poppy would call to see him when there was something medically wrong with a student. With a tired sigh, he got up out of his desk and went down to the Hospital wing, strolling through the corridors as if he was on his lunch break.

This was something he immediately regretted when he finally got to the Hospital wing and found a very distraught Poppy checking on a fair-haired student.
“Poppy?” He asked, standing in the doorway, watching her eyes light up when she saw him.
“Oh Albus!” She cried, “I didn’t know what to do!” She cried out wringing her hands together. Dumbledore had never seen her like this before, and was still baffled as she bent once more over the student. This was defiantly not like the Poppy he knew.

A little over an hour later, Albus sat with his head in his hands once more, this had never happened before…not in his school or any other wizarding school that he knew of.
“What in the hell am I going to do?” He said to the nearly empty room. The previous Head Masters were all thinking on the same subject, but so far, none of them could figure it out.
“Could I modify both of there memories?” He asked and got no response.
“Yes.” Fortescue said simply, the first time the red-nosed wizard had said anything in the past couple of years.
“What?” Dumbledore asked, and getting no further response, went back to his thoughts. Lighting struck his brain and he figured out what he both had to, and could do. He got up slowly and shuffled his way to the black cabinet that held his pensieve. He had to do something, he had to figure out just what really happened so he could figure out what to do. Taking the stone basin out of the cupboard he put it on his desk, looking at it strangely. The more he thought about it the more he didnt want to know about what happened to Draco....everything they had been planning for years could come to an end if Snape had gone off the deep end. But at the same time a nagging thought drifted into his mind. What if this wasnt the first time something like this happened?
