Trouble in Talons
Harry Potter had been seventeen for three days when the trouble began. It came clutched in the talons of an eagle owl, tied with black ribbon.
It was a small, simple scroll that only read: “Your Muggles Will Be Next.”
At first, Harry couldn’t make heads or tails of it. It seemed like it might be a threat, but to who? His muggles? He thought perhaps the writer was referring to his “muggle loving ways.” That seemed off to Harry. Why go to the trouble to call them his muggles?
Then, as he was staring at it again, in the wee hours of the morning, it hit him like a train. They were speaking of this only muggles he could lay claim to- his family.
