Severus was in his lab brewing fever reducing potions for Harry, the potion would be almost done, just a few minutes more. Severus looked at the time, it was after midnight. He hurriedly put the potion in a vile and sped off to the hospital wing to give Poppy the potions that he had brewed, after that nothing would move him from his son’s side.


Minerva stayed in the hospital wing, by her Harry’s bed. She refused to be moved. She was happy for Severus and Harry, but she was also sad that Severus had to see his son in this way. Poppy came in to see if Harry’s fever had gone down, but the result was still the same. Poppy was thinking of a way to get Harry’s temperature down, so she took some blood from Harry to check if there was anything that she had missed when she’d checked him earlier.
She checked to see if there was anything in Lily or Severus’s family histories.

Poppy found something that she had missed before. In all her years here, she had seen many things, but this one was new to her. Poppy called Albus and Severus to come into the hospital wing. Minerva asked Poppy what the matter was and was told that she would have to wait for Severus and Albus to come. Severus was running with the potions in the pockets of his robe. The worst thought had come to him, that something terrible had happened to Harry; Albus was thinking the same thing.

Severus and Albus arrived asking Poppy at the same time what was wrong. Poppy was still in shock about what she had found out. Harry's mother’s blood was that of a pureblood not of a muggleborn. She just stared at Albus, then Minerva and then Severus. Then, she finally spoke up and tell them that she had taken blood samples from Harry to see if there was something in Harry’s blood that she had not found before. Poppy said some tests had been done and they had found out that Harry had relatives who were still alive.

Minerva asked who, Poppy said that he had grandparents who were alive.

“Poppy, that is impossible. Severus’s and Lily’s parents are dead,” Minerva said.

“No, they are not. Minerva, you and Albus are Harry’s grandparents,” Poppy said.

“It is impossible that Harry is our grandchild; our daughter died at the age of three,” Minerva cried. I just think she’d have had a more dramatic reaction.

Poppy said, “The blood test does not lie,” and showed them

Poppy handed Minerva the paper with the results. Minerva just looked at it before handing it to
Albus. Minerva started to cry and Albus came over to hold her. Severus was shocked that Lily was Albus and Minerva’s daughter. Severus, Albus and Minerva were at Harry’s side a moment later. Minerva said to herself that it felt just like she had lost their daughter all over again. Severus gave Poppy the fever reducing potions from his pockets and Poppy gave Harry one every five minutes. After being given the potion, Harry started to have an extreme seizure. They all ran to Harry’s side. Poppy didn’t know what was going on. Poppy ran to hold onto one of Harry’s hands to stop the seizure. Severus was holding onto Harry's other hand and yelling for him to hold on. Minerva was bawling thinking that Harry was going to die. Albus was at her side crying as well. Poppy ran to get the potion to stop the seizures, gave it to Harry and as Poppy checked his pulse his heart stopped. Severus asked Poppy what was happening. Poppy said that Harry’s heart had stopped. Now, Severus had tears flowing from his eyes thinking he was about to lose his son without really getting to know him. Poppy was doing CPR on Harry both the muggle way and wizard way.
(Note: I won’t say that I know everything about what to do when someone is having a seizure, but instead of having them take Harry’s hands, they should be holding him down at the shoulders. It would keep him from moving as much as he seized.) I kind of agree, it would be better but I’ve just done a first aid course and was told not to do that, just to wait for it to end. But considering how distraught they are I think they would just grab hold. So I think its more convincing this way.

“Harry, hold on son, come back to us. We love you, there’s me, Albus, and Minerva, we love you, and also your friends,” Severus said to Harry.


Harry Coma Scene


While walking down a dark pathway, Harry saw a white light. He heard a voice, an angelic voice coming from that light. It was his mom saying to go back.

“NO! I want to stay here,” Harry said.

“NO! You can't,” Lily said.

“Why?” Harry asked.

“Because it is not your time yet; you have a lot of people that love you.”


“WHO? The Weasleys, the headmaster, Sirius and Remus.”


“Your father.”


“Mom, dad died with you.”


“No, he did not. He’s alive.”


“No, he is not. They said that you both died,” Harry said


“Harry, I have something to tell you. James is not your father,” Lily stated.


“WHAT? THAT CANNOT BE! I LOOK LIKE HIM! IF I AM NOT JAMES’S SON, THEN WHO IS MY REAL FATHER?” Harry yelled.


“Severus Snape is,” Lily replied.

Harry heard a voice and he turned his head to that voice.

“Who was that?” Harry asked.
“That was your father,” Lily replied.


Severus was holding Harry's hand saying how much he loved him and wanted Harry to wake up. Harry’s heart started to beat. Albus and Minerva were listening to what Severus was saying. They were just praying their grandson would wake up. Poppy told them to get some sleep, that Harry would be fine. They were glad that he was alive. Poppy said that he was doing better. His heart was beating normally now and the temperature went down. They stayed there until it was 12:30AM. Albus and Minerva went to their rooms while Severus stayed with Harry. He changed into his night wear and slept in the bed next to his son’s. Poppy was happy that he went to sleep at all, with all that had happened. Poppy put some spells on Harry to warn her if something went wrong. With that, she went to her room to get some sleep, the day had been very tiring for all of them.

Chapter 5

On August 1, around 7AM. Harry woke up to see Severus Snape sleeping next to him. He realized that he wasn't at the Dursley's, but a place he knew all too well, the Hospital Wing at Hogwarts. Poppy was on her way to see how Harry was doing. When she arrived, she and Harry just stared at one another for a moment before she smiled at him. Just then, Severus decided to grace them with his presence by jumping out of bed asking Poppy what was wrong after seeing the medi-witch stood frozen in the doorway. He was almost hyperventilating before he saw that Harry was awake.

Poppy said, “I was just going to ask him if he was ok.”

That is when Harry stared at Severus, his father, in surprise. He asked why he was here.

Severus replied, “Harry, I wanted to check up on you to see if you are ok.”

That is when Poppy left the two to get breakfast for them. Harry was starving from the lack of food he had gotten at the Dursley. A moment later Poppy brought in the breakfast. After breakfast, Albus and Minerva walked into the hospital wing to see how Harry, their grandson, was doing. They had seem that Harry was awake, and were ecstatic, Minerva just managed to restrain herself from hugging him. Albus then decided to ask Harry what had happened at the Dursley’s.

Harry did not want to tell them what had happened. He knew what they would think of him. Harry didn’t want the "PITY" face. Albus shook Harry out of his thoughts by putting his hand on Harry’s shoulder. Even though he didn’t want to, he knew he had to, so he started to tell the first thing that had happened. How he got hit by Uncle Vernon just for walking in the door. How Uncle Vernon was going to kill his owl, Hedwig, and how he got her free before Vernon could hurt her. How he was beaten to the point where he passed out. He continued to tell what had happened, like how he was put in his room, handcuffed to the bed and his clothes were removed and he was raped by his own Uncle.

Then, Albus interrupted Harry to ask, “How many time were you raped?”
"Several times in one month, but the beatings became more violent over time," Harry replied in a soft voice looking down. “The beatings became more violent, and the number of cuts, bruises, and welts increased each time.”

That sent Severus and Minerva crying. Poppy said, “That is enough Harry needs some rest.”

Harry was relieved that he didn’t have to say anymore.

Chapter 6: Afraid

Albus, Minerva and Severus went into the headmaster’s office, they were just about to sit down when they received a fire call from Molly Weasley.

“Albus, may I come through?” Molly asked.

“Yes, but only you and Arthur.” Albus replied.

She nodded her head okay.

Albus then turned to Severus and asked, “Is it ok to tell them?”

“Yes, I think it would be good to tell them,” Severus answered.

Meanwhile at the Burrow, Molly told the kids that the headmaster just wanted to talk to her and Arthur.

Ron was confused for it was his friend and asked, “Why?”

“Ron, I have no idea. The headmaster said just me and your father may go,” Molly replied.

With that said, Molly and Arthur flooed over to the headmaster’s office. Hermione and the rest of the Weasley clan felt that something bad must have happened to Harry, if they weren‘t allowed to go.


In Hawaii, Vernon Dursley was distant from his family. Petunia saw that Vernon seemed to be afraid of something. All Petunia could think about was that it involved Harry in some way. Petunia told herself that she shouldn’t worry. Vernon had said that the problem was taken care of. So she stopped thinking because the family was getting ready for their day out site seeing

In the headmaster’s office, Albus, Minerva, Severus, Molly, and Arthur all sat down to talk about Harry. Silence ensued when Albus decided he would be the first to speak.

“Molly, Arthur, something happened to Harry,” Albus said.

“What?” Molly exclaimed, but was calmed by her husband.

“When I received a letter from the kids…” Albus started but Severus interrupted him.

“Albus told me to check on Harry. I went to the Dursley’s residence and found there were no lights on in the house when I reached there at 10:30PM. I entered the house, and decided to go upstairs to find Harry. When I was upstairs I found a door with several locks on it and three bedrooms. I searched the bedrooms, but found no one there. Then, a smell of some sort came from the locked room so I opened the door. I found Harry almost bleeding to death. I brought Harry to Hogwarts and ran to the Hospital Wing to Poppy, where we found out that Harry had lost a large amount of blood and he was raped repeatedly,” Severus said with a tone of sadness, regret, and another emotion that could not be detected.
When the story was done, once again Minerva was in tears and beside her so was Molly.

“Who did this to Harry?” Arthur asked.

“VERNON DURSLEY!” Severus and Albus yelled together filled with anger

“WHAT?” Arthur yelled, shocked.

Severus spoke, “That is not all. We found out something interesting about Harry.”

Molly and Arthur asked in unison, “WHAT?”

“We found out that Harry is Severus’s son, not James’s,” Albus replied.

“How is that possible? She was married to James,” Molly stated.

“Yes, that is true, but I was with Lily before she was with James. I received a letter from her yesterday. She told me Harry was my son,” Severus said.

Severus then told Molly and Arthur about his relationship with Lily and how it had ended.

“Can we see Harry?” Molly asked. “I just had to ask. Hearing all this and finding a sweet young man could have a family like this who hates him just for who he is. Just thinking about it sends me to tears.”

“Harry is resting, he woke up this morning. Harry was in a coma and also had a seizure. The seizure and high fever caused Harry’s heart to stop.” Severus said sadly.

Albus interrupted. “Let’s wait a couple of days. That way Harry can recover.”

“Ok. Albus what do I tell the kids?” Molly asked.

“Tell them that Harry got hurt and he is recovering.”

“Minerva you have been quiet.”

“I have a lot on my mind.” Minerva replied.

“Poppy ran some tests on Harry to see why he had the seizure. To make sure she didn’t miss anything, she decided to check the family history, to see if there was anything in Severus or Lily's bloodlines. We found out that Harry has living relatives other than Severus,” Albus said.

Molly and Arthur asked, “WHO?”

“Albus and I… we are Harry grandparents,” Minerva replied.

“How?” Molly asked.

“Me and Albus are married. We thought our daughter died in 1963 during the war. We left her with a house elf. When the battle was over, we returned home to see the house was destroyed from an explosion. We checked to see if they had escaped from the house, we found the elf dead. Our daughter’s name was Ann. She had just turned three that day.

“The test that Poppy ran said we are his grandparents,” Albus said, showing Molly the paper.

“What is going to happen to Harry? How are you going to tell everyone in the wizarding world that Severus is Harry's father?” Molly asked.

“I do not how what we are going to do about that yet. We have yet to make a decision on how to tell everyone that Severus is Harry's father and that Minerva and I are his grandparents. This decision will be difficult for Severus as well.”

“Are the Dursley’s going to be punished for what he did to Harry?”

“We are also going to make the decision that is best for Harry. The Dursley's will not get away with what they did to Harry,” Severus replied.

“We better be getting home. Before the kids start to worry. Call us if anything happens,” Molly said.

Molly and Arthur thanked Albus, Minerva, and Severus for telling them what had happened to Harry.

“Okay,” Severus said.

“Severus, welcome to parenthood,” Molly said.

Severus thanked her and Molly and Arthur left for the Burrow.
