Christmas Delight

Draco opened his eyes and saw the glow from the sun which was clouded by the mist. He turned to his left and saw Hermione sleeping peacefully, Draco smiled lazily
‘No sex, Draco you should be ashamed of yourself’ spoke his conscience.
The thought of sex did not even reach Draco’s mind, he was content on having Hermione sleeping peacefully next to him. Hermione’s scent, her hair, her mouth and her presence captivated him.
‘How could I hate this girl, she’s so amazing’ thought Draco. Hermione had been the only girl in Draco’s life that challenged him on every subject, she made him feel worthwhile, and she made him feel human.
Hermione stirred
“Hi” said Draco
“Hello yourself” said Hermione as she stretched herself
“Slept well?” asked Draco
Hermione smiled “You know I did” as she caressed Draco’s face “Thank you”
“For what?” asked Draco “For understanding my feelings regarding about last night” said Hermione
“Normally I would have taken a woman and make her beg. But you are different, you’re amazing and I would be happy if you forgave my insults to you over the years”
“Oh Draco, you said it yourself, you were teasing me and you did it cause you liked me” said Hermione
Hermione saw the honesty in his eyes; she moved close and kissed him. Draco pulled back and saw Hermione’s eyes, her truth, her decency and her loyalty all were summed up. Tears began to appear in his eyes and they spilled down his face. Hermione’s face of bliss was replaced one with concern
“What’s the matter Draco” said Hermione
Draco sniffed “Nothing, I’m just overreacting”
“Come on Draco tell me” whispered Hermione
Draco wiped the tears off his face and faced Hermione “Hermione I…”
Hermione caressed his face “Come on Draco” whispered Hermione “You can tell me”
Draco nodded and said “I don’t know what’s going on between us. I’ve never felt like this before. Sure I’ve been with many girls but with you I feel that you want me for more than just my money and my reputation. I’ve got the feeling you want me. Merlin I sound like a jerk now, I don’t know why I feel this way, I don’t know if its loneliness, companionship or something else, but I just wanted to tell you that I like you, I really like you”.
Joyful tears went down Hermione’s cheeks. “Oh Draco” smiled Hermione as she pulled him in for a hug “I like you too, I like you too”.

The pair went down to breakfast and sat on the Gryffindor table. This caused suspicion amongst the present staff, but Hermione and Draco were too interested in each other to care. As they ate, they couldn’t help but look at each other, memorising each others cheeks, eyes, nose, mouth, hair and scent.
“What do you want to do today?” asked Draco
“We’re still snowbound, I wouldn’t mind starting our assignments for next term” said Hermione
Draco smiled at the girls attention to detail
“Sure, where are you going to study?”
“I was hoping in the library. Do you want to join me?” asked Hermione
“I would love to” said Draco,
“Okay see you in fifteen minutes” smiled Hermione as she left the Great Hall. As soon as she left, Draco ran out of the hall into his room and got his school things together, ‘more books. More books’ Draco thought about how to impress her. Then all of a sudden the memory of this morning came to mind, he didn’t need to impress her, she already told him how she felt about him. ‘Merlin I’m cursed’ thought Draco as he walked down to the library. Once there he saw Hermione studying, she sucked on her Sugar Quill and was in deep thought. Draco was captivated by her; she looked so beautiful when she was in serious thinking. Hermione looked up and saw Draco smiling at her. Draco sat down and got to work.

The day had gone too fast, Draco excused himself saying that he was tired. In reality he excused himself because he needed to prepare for Christmas tomorrow. Before he left he said
“Hermione, what are you doing tomorrow?” asked Draco
“What’s tomorrow? Oh God, it’s Christmas, I forgot. Answer to your question nothing” said Hermione
“I was wondering if you want to have Christmas dinner with me in the common room” asked Draco
“I thought you’d never ask, my answer is; yes. After what you served me two nights ago how could I resist” smiled Hermione
“Okay. I’ll see you in the morning” smiled Draco as he went back to his room to prepare for the most important occasion of his life.

Sorry I know its short. But I promise the next one to be longer. Its set on Christmas Day after all
