A/N: Ok so…No. I’m not Australian even if I do happen to live now, in this beautiful place! And of course not HP4 the book! BUT THE MOVIE!!! In Australia it came out only at the 1st December. And lol, I quote myself when I say, “And finally after the whole world got to watch Harry Potter, I watched it too!”

Xmas time has gotten me wrapped and I couldn’t dedicate any time on the fic, sorry guys! I made this chapter shorter than usual-it wasn’t coming out good anyway, sorry. If it is of any reassurances, I’m writing next chapter right now. Though, I don’t know if I’ll take long to update.

So don’t worry! This story will be continued!

Sorry again! Enjoy!

Chapter 5: Trying
Written by: Flamesky

Harry’s eyes flickered slightly under closed lids. Unknown to the Angel, a figure stayed silent while watching him. A hand came to grip that figure, and it turned to revile Draco Malfoy.

“Draco, there is no need of you here.” Shrugging Severus Snape’s hand away, the blond turned towards Harry once again. “Perhaps.” The older man sighed and begun to walk away.

“Severus.” “Yes, Draco?” The boy turned to him. “Thanks.” Snape sniggered. “The coffee is on the table.”

Harry’s eyes flickered open before closing once again.
***
There was some one in the room…
“Remus I’m so worried.” There was a hushing noise. “That’s because you’re an agonized brat, only normal.” There was the sound of movements and suddenly, Remus’ voice came again. “That hurt!” “Don’t you dare pout.” There was silence. “He’s going to be fine, Sirius. He’s going to be fine.”

Yes, defiantly some one there. The Angel smiled slightly in his consciousness.

***
“How’s the boy, Poppy?” There was a sigh. “Eventually, he’ll come to a wake Albus.”
And Harry new nothing more as sleep lulled him in the land of dreams.

***
“Harry?”

The Angel frowned. “I want to sleep.” He said, voice horsed. The following laugh made him wide awake. He bolted up in bed.

“Hermione?”

“Here.” He turned to see the Angel sitting next to him on the bed. She was smiling amusedly at him, hair in neat twist as she seemed to glow. Harry was breathless. “Hermione.” Again, the girl smiled and nodded. Harry didn’t hesitate again as he hugged her. The female Angel hugged back.

“Careful there now, Harry. I’m really starting to get huge.” The other Angel gasped down at the round stomach and smiled more than happily at Hermione. “This is wonderful! Is it going alright?” The girl nodded as she caressed her stomach. “Yes, the baby’s kicking and well, I think he can’t wait to get out.” They laughed softly.

“Wait, a he?” Hermione nodded. “It’s a boy!” Exclaimed Harry, hand going to cover his mouth. “Oh Mione, I’m so happy! What does Ron say?” Chocolate brown eyes shimmered with love. “He’s crazier than me! He can’t wait for him to come, and he is been going around the house trying to fix everything up. He doesn’t want for there to be any kind danger for the baby. He’s having me mental! For real this time.” There was more laughter as Harry stared at his friend. “So many things happened I even forgot to tell Sirius!” Hermione smiled widely. “How is he?” “He’s famously so with his mate, Remus. He is really a nice person.” The girl chuckled. “Give him a hug from me.” Harry nodded.

Silence fell on them.

“I miss you so much, Hermione. It’s so nice to see you.” The female Angel caressed him. “We miss you to, Harry.” He sighed, eyes watery and carefully hugged her. “It’s ok Harry…” Whispered Hermione as she kept on caressing his hair now. The male Angel whimpered a little, hiding his face in her neck. “You are doing great.” Harry snorted slightly at this. “You are, Harry, keep praying. We always hear you.” Green eyes looked up, “You do?” Hermione nodded a small smile on her lips. “I always failed to respond as you seem to pass out right after,” Harry blushed slightly at this.

“Give him time, Harry.” The said Angel looked away. “Time can fix almost everything.” “Perhaps it’s I that need time, Mione. I just… can’t.” “He can’t be that terrible.” Harry looked at her in the eyes before looking away and resting his head on her shoulder. “His parents killed my mine.” He said gravely. “I know.” Harry bolted. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t tell you anything.” Green eyes looked away as he nodded slowly. “It’s weird…” “Tell me about it.” They chuckled softly.

Harry sighed as he begun speaking again. “I mean, we met only twice but still, there was something so different and terribly familiar of him. It felt…Almost like home.” A brown brow rose interested, Harry continued. “But it’s wrong. We are strangers. And the fact that, he’s father…” There was a pause were Hermione just kept on rubbing on Harry’s arm. Then, she sighed and leaned out of the embrace. The boy turned to look at her.

“You are Soul Mates.” “I read something, few things…About it. But I’m not going to read more. If…If things will go on I just hope for them, to happen in a natural way I…Don’t want to know what will happen next.” Hermione pushed him on the pillows. “Harry you are blubbering! Now, you relax and stay here ok?” Harry nodded a little confused. “Are you going?” The Angel smiled sadly as she stood up, purple vests curling a little on her stomach. “Yes, dear Harry.” The said Angel chuckled. “Mom.” He nodded pointedly. They smiled at each other.

“Keep on praying, Harry. We are always looking up to you. Everyone says hello and wishes you the best with love and life.” “I wished you didn’t have to go.” He whispered. Hermione leaned with difficulty to kiss him on the forehead. “It’s going to be alright, Harry. Remember, give it time. Give him time.” “Say hello for me to Ron, please? I miss him really much.” Hermione smiled and nodded. “Now sleep, I’ll be here with you till you fall asleep, ok?” The Angel lighted up at that and reached to grip her hand. It felt so warm and real.

“Oh and Hermione,” He tried to say, but sleep was suddenly embracing him. Emerald eyes fought to stay open as he smiled at the pregnant Angel. “I spoke with,” There was a big yawn to which Hermione giggled. “God? Yes Harry, I know.” Harry would have sparkled with pride but he was currently too tiered and just rested his head to one side. “Yes…” He whispered. The other Angel smiled kindly at him and caressed him lovingly. “Well done, Harry.” She whispered back. Her eyes were starting to water; the other Angel could not see her as he closed his eyes. She sighed heavily and kissed him one more time. “I love you, Harry.”

“Mphr…Love you too…”
***
Draco gasped at the Angel on the bed. Not only had he reached out to grip his hand which, he sputtered a little, was alright but-but…The blond paled a little as the words echoed in his mind. He then slapped his head with his free hand for been so weak and leaned forward.

Boy, how was Harry beautiful. Silver eyes travelled on his face again a small smile creasing his features. He could help it, honestly. The Angel looked like an innocent boy when sleeping and as he dreamed; his face had shifted to different expressions. It had been rather amusing to the Demon but he had soon found himself caught in watching him with utmost concentration. He came to find out that the serene peaceful smile that sported the Angel right at the moment was one of his favourites. For a minute, he longed for Harry to open his striking eyes and look at him-He stopped the thought there and then. Draco blinked confused.
What was happening to him? Not only was he a Demon, but he was a Malfoy. Malfoys were never feeling gooey about something, or someone. He breathed in deeply as he shifted his lazed fingers with Harry’s. Still, it was so nice to just be this close to him. Draco couldn’t hide it to himself, he was worried. Worried for Harry, scared he wouldn’t wake, guilty because it had been his fault and-There he went again. With a groan, he rested his head on their clasped hands. He couldn’t get it, even if it was painfully obvious, he just couldn’t understand it.

And Harry, he looked up. Harry was a mystery to him. A mystery he knew was to be solved and quick. It actually scared him to death when the Angel got angry at him. It really did rip his heart apart when Harry even had watery eyes. Torture, that’s what was it! Yet, when he’d allowed those brief moments of intimacy…Draco felt like giving everything he had just to feel…That way with Harry.

Draco had begun to stroke lightly on the raven hair, he sighed a little tired. He had been with Harry all the time possible, falling asleep time to time, head resting on the bed. But it didn’t annoy him; it gave him a strange feeling of peace knowing he was next to his mate. A calm sense of been in control as he could watch Harry constantly.

Carefully, Draco lifted the hair that was hiding the Angel’s forehead to have a close pick on the scar. Blond brows met as he studied it. That was the scar, the famous boy. The boy his father had always warned him-when told the story-to never speak about. A disgrace to the Malfoy dynasty he had called it. Lucius couldn’t believe for his power to have been literally, bounced off like rubber. And from a six year old boy! Draco hadn’t understood much as he was six himself, but later on the full meaning had come him. As he got older, the blonds’ pride and arrogant ways of a Malfoy, had successfully been stumped on to him.
He suddenly dropped the limp hand in his and frowned. Face turning stony grey. Right, this wasn’t good. “Father is going to kill me.” He whispered darkly. For a moment he stayed there glaring at the sleeping boy and leaned back. How bloody stupid of him! He was letting this whole soul mate rubbish get to him. Draco stood up and stepped before the window. This was an utter disgrace; he could already hear Lucius Malfoy’s words! “My son playing weak for a bloody Angel-not just one bloody Angel but the one that succeeded in surviving my powers! MY powers!” Draco shook his head. He knew is father had become a psychopath after the accident. Absolutely obsessed with he’s own powers, himself the whole darned Malfoy fortune as he rotted thinking ways of revenge. This wasn’t happening.
Draco chuckled, realization hitting him as he stayed frozen in place. The wheels of his brain turning.

He just wanted to get his kicks out of the situation. “Darned it!” He snapped at the floor. Draco quickly looked back to see if he had waken the boy. The range he was feeling was making him breath hard. He wanted to smash something, to kill yes…To kill.

Harry hadn’t even flinched.
***
Some time in the night, Harry yawned and woke up. He blinked as he looked around and was surprised to see Albus Dumbledore sitting on a chair next to his bed rather calmly. Both hands were rested on a walking stick before him.

“Welcome back, Harry. Gave us quite a scare there now, did you?” Blue eyes twinkled with mirth. Now, Harry was starting to get defiantly irritated at this entire twinkly-twinkly thing.

“Thanks, I guess.” Dumbledore smiled and nodded his head. “How are you?” The Angel sat up in bed feeling his body been stiff. “Erm, alright.” Once he was settled in the headmaster spoke again. “You’ve been sleeping ever since we brought you in. I think it was noon. Its now midnight, Harry.” The Angel blinked and rubbed his back. “I’m sorry, it got out of my control…I forgot to take the potion and I-” “No, no. Its ok Harry. You’ve been having some jumpy days. Its better if you remember to take the painless potion though, Harry. You never know when you will have another emotional brake down.” The Angel blushed and looked away. “Now Harry, you might want to eat something.” It was then that he noticed the tray of food on his bedside table. The headmaster helped him with it.
“Eat all the chicken soup, flu or no flu.” Harry smiled at that and nodded politely. Oh well, he was feeling hungry after all. “Harry, I know it might not be the right moment but I need to tell you a few things.”

The Angel sat straighter. “Draco?” He asked. Before Dumbledore could respond Harry smiled again and looked away. “He was here.” The old man’s eyes beamed at Harry as he smiled back. “Yes, he did come here.” Green eyes looked up. “I think, I felt him.” Dumbledore nodded as he leaned back is chair. “Well, possibly. And why, may I ask, does this make you smile?” Harry bit his lip not sure if it was alright to have this certain conversation with Dumbledore, but he sighed, he was he’s guide after all.

“It just shows me that…Perhaps, he does have a heart.” Dumbledore raised an eyebrow but didn’t comment. “I spoke no; I saw and spoke with Hermione. I never knew we could establish that kind of connection, were it is actually visible and-” He breathed. “It was great Albus, seen her again. We talked, and well, I miss her really much.” The old man nodded. “I’d expect for you to have the ability to establish visible connections, Harry. It does seem though, that your powers come at their full height when you are under an emotional drain.” Harry blinked. “Is that, a good thing?” Dumbledore chuckled and patted his shoulder. “Oh, young Harry, never bother!”
***

The next day, for the first time that Harry had been at Hogwarts, he finally had breakfast in the Great Hall. Next to him were Sirius and Remus, both chuckling and flirting around as they ate. Harry smiled as he looked at them. At the moment, the Angel felt very excited. That very same night, students were to come for the start of the new scholastic year. Harry was looking forward to see how a magical school worked.
Green eyes looked around. Draco wasn’t there. He sighed feeling a little disappointed.

If Harry had to be truthful, he would admit that the day before, he had been ready to leave the whole thing up, but now…Well, he felt things had changed. He didn’t know how to explain it exactly, but Hermione had really opened up his eyes. Not just that, the Angel was amazed that he had felt Draco near him in his consciousness, and it had felt…He couldn’t put his finger on it, but it had felt right. Yes, perhaps that was the word. Again, the Angel smiled to no one in particular.

And now…Now Harry truly wanted to give it a try. Yes, he had been terribly scared, and he still was but…People did stupid things for love now, did they?
Harry chose to believe, maybe the future wasn’t as dark as it seemed.
When Harry suddenly looked up, he saw the familiar blond enter the room. He looked around and after finding Harry, walked towards him. Harry didn’t know what to do; he blinked desperately trying to think of something to say.

“Hi.” Sirius and Remus looked up and tensed slightly. Harry just nodded at them that it was alright and looked up at Draco. “Hi.” The Demon’s eyes shifted towards Sirius before going on Harry again. His face was calm. “I’d like to speak to you privately.” Biting his lips, Harry stood up nodding a little. “Harry,” begun to say the older Angel. “Its ok, I’ll be back straight after.” Remus pulled Sirius down and huffed at him. “Just let them go.” A blond brow rose as Draco then looked at Harry. “Right.” He breathed, a small blush tinting his cheeks. With that, he followed the tall blond outside.

Harry felt a little uncomfortable at the awkward silence that seemed to have fallen between them. He tried a glance at Draco but his face was unreadable. Harry groaned a little as he looked away. “What’s wrong?” Harry didn’t look at him as he answered. “I was just thinking…That if you always wear that unreadable mask, look no. Never mind.” Draco frowned as he stopped to look at him. “Go on.” He insisted. The Angel sighed. “That if you go on been like that I will never get to understand you.” Harry looked up when there was no response. He was surprised to see the Demon smirking.

“So now you want to get to know me?” Harry crossed his arms defensively. “I didn’t say that. I said, understand, not know, you.” Draco nodded his head still smirking. “Right.” Harry gave him a small slap on the arm. “Stop teasing.” His face was a little red. There again, that silence came.
“I know this might sound old but ah…” “Don’t tell me you feel responsible for what happened to me.” The Angel interrupted. “That you are sorry, well, it’s not your fault. I just happen to have a motional drain that-”

“That I caused.” Finished the Demon. Harry huffed. “It was ok, honestly. I don’t get why people have to make it bigger than it is.” Draco frowned at him. “I saw you there Harry, by the lake.” He pointed towards the place. Harry watched the other boy closely as he leaned against the wall. “I was the one that brought you in the hospital wing. I saw your conditions, they were horrible.” “You see, us Angels are surprisingly fragile when we get to a certain emotional level. Our wings sprout out and we can’t control it. Partially, it was my fault that I didn’t drink the painless potion. Nothing would have happened then. Not that bad anyway.” “Well, take that bloody potion then and don’t forget.” Harry looked up at the imperial tone.

A smile curled on his lips and he looked away. “What, you are smiling now?” Harry didn’t respond that, instead, he straightened up and walked towards the great hall again. Before going in, he turned. “I accept your apology and…I appreciate your worry.” “I have no bloody worry, what are you talking about?” The Angel almost fell for that and shook his head. “Look,” He closed his eyes momentarily, trying to find some words. “Thanks for making sure…I was ok.” Draco’s face softened and nodded his head as he turned to leave. Harry hesitated with opening the door. He looked back again. “Draco?” “Yes?”

Harry was taken aback by the immediate response and for a moment, he remained speechless. “Will I…Will I see you again today?” It was the Demon’s turn to go suddenly quite. Harry looked away feeling his cheeks grow warmer. “Yes, I think you will.” He responded. Harry nodded and looked up. “Great then.” As those silver eyes connected with his again, Harry felt that pull to his heart. Harry tried to smile and contain the feelings awakening in him. “Yeah ok.” He turned to open the door.

“Harry,” “Yes?” The Angel stepped back startled, Draco was now just in front of him. “Tonight, after dinner meet me here. When you will see me stand up just follow, ok?” Harry gulped down suddenly. This was so new; he had never used that tone of voice with him before. He had never seen Draco act…So gentle. The Angel breathed out as the Demon took his hand and softly kissed it. Draco gazed back at the green eyes. Harry smiled weakly, in a way understanding that Draco was underlining his apology.

“I…I’d better go.” Draco nodded at the words and let Harry’s hand go. The Angel didn’t see his hands quivering just a bit as he was too caught up in own streams of feelings as he looked away.

~What if I told you it was all meant to be
Would you believe me, would you believe
It’s almost that feelin’ we met before
So tell me that you don’t think I’m crazy
When I tell you love has come here and now~

Harry almost laughed to himself and shook his head. “Bye.” He said and without turning back he re entered the Great Hall.

He couldn’t help the huge smile to curl his lips and suddenly, everything was so very funny and he started laughing. Remus and Sirius, both bemused, watch him sit next to them. Harry rested his head on his hand as he continued to laugh at his own personal reason. Cheeks red, eyes sparkling as he shook his head almost not believing himself.

~A moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this
Some people search forever
For that one special kiss
Oh I can’t believe it’s happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this~

A/N: The text between ~ is from “A Moment Like These” lyrics by Kelly Clarkson.

I know, chapter wasn’t much. But ahh, things got a little out of hand! Ik, lol! *rubs head* Yeah well…I’m fixing it up.
I hope its not to awkward how we suddenly saw more of Draco. We saw his thoughts and etc, if you noticed this story is particularly written trough Harry’s point of view. We will see more about the…new problems coming up. I also hope that Harry’s cheery mood wasn’t sudden. I described him like that, because his “dream” with Hermione reassured him and as you might have got by yourself, he starting to understand some signs from Draco…

Makes sense? Oh lol! *Hides under rock* I’ll hear you guys soon, I hope!
Ciao!
