just have to find out who the new headmaster is.... \'fraid I can\'t tell you, although
you might be surprised, I\'ll just explain why he is the new headmaster when the
time comes..... well enough ranting.... ^_^

THE BREAKING OF A CHARM
Harry could not sleep at all. He had been thrashing and turning on the bed for
the past hours and even though he was exhausted from the wedding he had no
desire to sleep at all. When he heard the rooster crowed and saw that the pitch
black sky outside had turn to a pale shade of purple, he got up, changed his
clothes and silently crept out of Ron\'s room.
He was surprised when he saw several people were already up. Mrs. Weasley was
already halfway making pancakes, Mr. Weasley was reading the Evening Prophet
from yesterday and Charlie, Lupin and Tonks were talking as they sipped their
coffee.
\"You\'re up early!\" Mr. Weasley said looking up from the paper.
\"I just thought we\'d get an early start.\" Harry answered as he made his way to
the table.
\"You\'re ready then?\" Mr. Weasley asked as Mrs. Weasley laid out the first batch
of pancakes on the table.
Harry nodded and started eating.
\"Do you want anything more Harry dear? some sausages perhaps? Or Bacon?
What about toast?\" Mrs.Weasley badgered as she served Harrry a glass of juice.
\"Molly stop asking Harry like it\'s his last meal.\" Mr. Weasley said. \"He\'ll be back.\"
\"I\'d just like to make sure that he eats well and he isn\'t going to starve when he
gets to his aunt and uncle.\" Mrs. Weasley retorted.
\"I\'ll be fine Mrs. Weasley it\'s only a couple of weeks.\" Harry assured.
\"Is your trunk packed?\" Charlie asked.
\"Yeah it is.\" Harry answered.
This was all true. he had not bothered taking out things from his trunk knowing
that he would be going back to the Dursleys for a few weeks.
A few weeks. Harry thought. A few weeks and I\'m free.
\"I\'ll get it down,\" Charlie said as he squeezed Harry\'s shoulder. He then went up
to Ron\'s room.
\"I guess I should call the ministry car now.\" Mr. Weasley said as he rose from his
seat.
\"Don\'t you want to wake up Ron and Hermione?\" Lupin asked.
\"No, I won\'t be gone long anyway.\" Harry said as he finished his second pancake.
\"More dear?\" Mrs. Weasley asked as she added the second batch of pancakes.
\"No, I\'m fine, thank you.\" He said.
Charlie was levitating Harry\'s trunk, Hedwig and his Firebolt downstairs a few
minutes later.
\"Thanks.\" Harry said.
\"No problem.\" Charlie said as he set it down beside the door.
\"Right,\" Mr. Weasley said as he came in the room. \"The cars will be here in a
minute, got everything?\" he asked.
Harry just nodded and stood up.
\"Oh, Harry,\" Lupin started. \"Just go Mrs. Figg\'s house when you\'re ready to come
back alright? She\'ll be the one to contact us.\" He said.
\"Yeah, thanks.\" He said. He turned to Mrs. Weasley. \"Tell Ron and Hermione
that... I\'ll be seeing them later.\"
\"Of course dear.\" Mrs. Weasley said as she hugged Harry.
\"Take care of yourself.\" Tonks said as she gave Harry a one-armed hug.
\"I\'ll be seeing you then.\" Harry said as he got his things and followed Mr. Weasley
outside the door.
* * * * * * * *
They arrived at Little Whinging at seven in the morning. The square houses and
their lawns were as perfect as ever. It hasn\'t changed a lot, has it? Harry thought.
Before Harry even knew it the car was slowing down in front of number four.
Mr. Weasley helped Harry get his things out of the car.
\"Well Harry...\" Mr. Weasley said.
\"I\'ll be ok Mr. Weasley. I won\'t do anything before I come back to the Burrow.\"
Harry assured.
Mr. Weasley smiled. \"Goodluck then, I\'ll see you in a few weeks.\" Mr. Weasley said
as he shook Harry\'s hand and got inside the car.
The car started to back up and made its way out of the street, when it reached the
intersection, Harry saw the wheels slightly rise from the ground and vanished.
After staring at the intersection for a few seconds, Harry got his things, made his
way to the door and rang the bell. It was his Aunt Petunia who opened it.
She looked completely surprised when she saw Harry a day earlier than the usual.
She then regained her sanity and realized he was carrying an owl\'s cage, a trunk
and a broom out in the open.
\"Come inside quickly before the neighbors see!\" She said hysterically.
Harry got inside quickly and was going to say something when someone interrupted.
\"You! BOY!\" Vernon bellowed as he walked towards Harry. \"Why are you here? You\'re
not due here until tomorrow!\" He spat. It seemed that Harry was doing a crime for
being a day early.
\"Something happened at school and we were sent home earlier.\" Harry answered.
Uncle Vernon was eyeing Harry viciously, like Harry was violating his rights.
\"Fine,\" Vernon hissed. \"You can stay here, but you\'re out of here the minute that
clock strikes twelve on the night of 30! We\'ll finally be rid of you and your ruddy
people and have a peaceful life!\" He said.
To hell with you and your lives. Harry thought.
\"Fine by me.\" Harry said as he grabbed his things and made his way to his room.
* * * * * * * *
The days seemed to drag by. Harry was determined to stay out of the Dursely\'s
way as often as possible only coming out of his room when he was hungry or when
he needed to use the bathroom.
The Dursley\'s on the other hand seemed to be keen on ignoring his presence.
Which suited Harry just fine.
Mail came often, sometimes brought by Hedwig or Ron\'s owl Pigwidgeon. All of
them contained the same massage, wishing Harry that he was well and they couldn\'t
wait to have Harry back. Often more, Mrs. Weasley would send in some mince pies,
cakes and other pastries which Harry was really grateful, since it caused him more
time alone in his room.
Harry spent his time reading his books, starting from first year to sixth year, he
would read from morning til midnight, occasionally falling asleep halfway through
one. He wanted to learn more, he wanted to catch up with everything he missed
and use it against Voldemort. If he was going to defeat Voldemort, he thought, it
would need everything he\'s got. He wanted to end it, He wanted to live without fear
of him or his friends being murdered... He wanted revenge.
Revenge for all the things taken from him.
He also started to meditate trying to calm his mind, trying to learn how to concentrate
on emptying his thoughts and doing his best to follow the instructions on how to
cast nonverbal spells.
He never came to think of it, but he really liked studying after all. Either that or he
was really desperate on doing anything to ged rid of his boredom.
Then it finally arrived.
It was eleven forty-five in the evening of July 30. Harry had already packed his trunk,
had already cleaned Hedwig\'s cage and, for no reason at all, polished his Firebolt.
Hedwig was already inside her cage watching Harry\'s progress as he put Dudley\'s old
clothes on top of his bed. He would not be taking them with him, he didn\'t want to...
he would get his own clothes later, for now, he wore his Hogwarts uniform except for
his robes, he also wore one of his Weasley sweaters. He looked around his room. He
was ready to go, this would be his last time seeing this place.
Although he knew it still wasn\'t twelve, he gathered all his belongings and made his
way downstairs. The Dursley\'s were all there, seated in the living room.
Harry was quite surprised. He wasn\'t expecting them to see him off at all, maybe they
were too thrilled to finally have him thrown out. Harry settled his things near the door
and faced his relatives. He didn\'t even want to wait for twelve.
Aunt Petunia and Dudley looked up. Uncle Vernon kept his eyes on a newspaper.
\"I\'m going then...\" Harry said.
\"Oh... Uhmmm... Well, g-goodbye.\" Petunia stammered as she rose from her seat.
This was odd. Harry had never seen his Aunt likethis before, it was like she was
being emotional as though she was worried, sad or even... affected with Harry\'s
departure.
\"Vernon, Harry\'s going...\" Petunia said.
Uncle Vernon only shifted in his seat and grunted.
\"Dudley?\" Petunia said to his son.
Dudley muttered something in the lines of \'good riddance\' that earned him a glare
from his mother.
Harry stood there for a moment and then said.
\"Thanks. For everything, even though you didn\'t want to take me in and hated me
for the past seventeen years, I\'m grateful for at least keeping me alive.\"
It was now five minutes to twelve. Harry turned to the door.
\"Harry...\" Aunt Petunia called.
Harry recieved a shocking view when he looked over his shoulder. His Aunt\'s eyes
were teary, and she was clearly restraining herself from crying.
\"Y-you... are always welcome here.\" She said.
Harry still couldn\'t believe everything He was seeing or hearing.
\"Thanks,\" Harry said. \"But no thanks.\" He added.
He then turned around the door knob and quickly got out the house. He had to
stop for a moment, because the next thing he heard was his Aunt Petunia crying
and being comforted by Uncle Vernon.
He closed his eyes and then walked towards Mrs. Figg\'s house. As he reached the
sidewalk, he felt something, it felt as though warm water was being showered
through his body. It felt nice he, thought. the next thing he knew, tears were
flooding down his eyes, but he had no inclination on crying... no pain, no emotions...
nothing. He then rememembered something.
\"The charm shall be broken when Harry comes of age\"
This was it then... It\'s broken. I\'m on my own now. Harry said to himself.
He continued his way to Mrs. Figg\'s house and saw something. Mrs. Figg was
looking out her window, her face was white with worry. She was looking at Harry
as though conveying a message. She shook her head. Harry looked at her
questioningly, she then shook her head vigorously.
The next thing Harry saw was a flash of green light inside Mrs. Figg\'s house.
SHIT! Harry thought. He looked around.
Death Eaters were closing in from both ends of the street.
