Mend A Broken Wing

CHAPTER FOUR
Inside,
I Was A Child That Could Not Mend A Broken Wing.
Outside,
I Looked For A Way To Teach My Heart To Sing
\"So where to now?\" Ron asked, looking bored with his surroundings.
Harry stared out of the window, lost in thought. They were back in Surrey once more, having travelled for half the day on buses and trains from the North West of England.
It had been so long since Harry had been down in the South, and he had a longing to go back there. The three of them had been feeling rather elated for the past couple of days for lack of finding no clues on the 6th Horcrux, and wanted nothing more than to see their friends and family again.
Or what was left of them.
Ron had no idea about the letter that Mrs. Weasley had sent to Hermione.
Ginny had been at Gringrotts Wizarding Bank visiting Bill when the attack had taken place.
No less that ten Death Eaters had stormed the Banks wall\'s and killed many innocent lives.
Luckily, Ginny was not one of them, though she was presently lying, badly injured, in St. Mugo\'s.
Both Hermione thought it best to let Mrs. Weasley tell Ron himself, and then he could visit his sister with the others. So that\'s where they were heading.
Back to The Burrow.
\"We\'re going home, Ron\" Said Hermione quietly from her seat, on the otherside of the Muggle coach they were travelling on.
Having Hermione inform them that she thinks someone was following her on a walk out four days ago, the group thought it best to use Muggle transport from that point on, and only use their wands IF, and only IF, there was a real emergency. That way it would be harder for unwanted guests to find them.
So here they were, on slow moving Muggle transport, going back to the one place that always felt like home to all of them.
Hermione looked over at Harry. He looked so worried. She could tell that his feelings for Ginny had not wavered since the day he broke it off with her (for her own good, he had said, with an uncertain tone to his voice) and he was eager and anxious to see her.

Everything went black.
That\'s all he remembered.
One minute there he was, taking out a large sum of money from his inheritance. And the next minute he was here, waking up in a hard, cold bed, quite unlike his own.
It had taken him a great deal of time to find out HOW he had got there, but in the end he had resided to the fact that his own \'brothers\' had effectively knocked him out cold.
So now here he was, lying down in a hospital bed somewhere in St. Mugo\'s, being treated for shock, and whatever else the Healer\'s had decided he had.
He had been in a private room for two days, and then was taken into a general ward where all the other injured wizards and witches seemed to be.
Draco, however, had no intentions of socialising with any of them, as they all seemed to have their own problems, just as he had his.
However, on the presence of a very familiar face put in the bed opposite him, his brain could not help but hatch a plan then and there; something much better than what he originally planned in the first place.
The Weasley girl, lying unconscious opposite him.
Obviously someone would come and visit her; maybe even \'The Chosen One\' and his two side-kicks might even drop by...
Actually, he was hoping on this, because otherwise is new plan was not going to work at all.

Ron burst through the doors with a spurt of energy.
Looking around him quickly, he saw a flick of red hair peeping from underneath a douvet and then ran towards it.
\"GINNY?!\" He shouted frantically.
There was movement. He sighed in untter relief.
Harry\'s heart was hammering against his chest. The weight in his stomach lessened when he saw movement also. His heart swelled at the sight of the girl nowlying before him, looking paler than usual, but the beauty had never wilted from her.
\"Hi\" She said weakly, not taking her eyes off Harry for one moment. He was encaptured, once again, by how many feelings she could bring to life inside of him, all at once.
\"What happened to you?\" Ron asked her quietly as he took a seat by her bed and grabbed her hand.
\"I went to tell Bill that Fleur had gone into labour. Unluckily for me, I went to the bank at the wrong time\"
Hermione sat facing Ginny at the end of the bed, looking at her with a smile. Her friend had grown up alot, including her changing features, which were now looking more and more beautiful with age.
\"How\'ve you all been?\" She asked them with tears now hiding behind her eyes. She smiled warmly at Harry, who returned her smile with something other than friendship in his eyes.
\"Well i\'m drained\" Moaned Ron, who then looked around him to find that Harry had no seat. \"Can\'t you find a chair to sit on?\"
Harry hadn\'t actually thought about that before.
Hermione stood up. \"Here, have this one, i\'ll find another one around another one of the beds.
And she passed it to Harry, who took the chair and was now sat closer to Ginny, on her other side, opposite Ron.
Hermione looked around all the beds but found no chairs, until she came to the one opposite Ginny, who had one chair left right at the end of it.
She motioned to the occupant of the bed that she was taking the chair, but the person lying there didn\'t seem to notice she was even indicating, because whoever they were was staring off into space with their head bent to one side, looking towards the flowery drapes that would usually cover the whole of the bed if the person needed privacy.
\"Excuse me?\" She asked politely to the patient, not seeing any signs of acknowledgement.
\"Just take it\" Came the voice. Sounding very familiar.
\"Thankyou\" Hermione said, this time with an air of curiosity to her voice, peeking over the large douvet covering the occupant.
\"No need. It\'s not like i ever did anything for you to thank me for, anyway\"
The voice brought back memories of Hogwarts. Someone she knew, but didn\'t know every well...an aquaintance, she was sure.
\"Do I know you, by any chance?\" She asked the occupant, getting a little closer and walked slowly down the side of the bed.
Suddenly the cover flew back to uncover a face lost long ago in Hermione\'s memories. The memories that were often painful or hurtful.
Hermione narrowed her eyes.
\"What are you doing in St. Mugo\'s?\"
\"What do you think?\" Asked Draco Malfoy.
