Chapter 5: Into the darkness we travel hopefully to come out not so alone

Harry had entered a self created dark space in his mind, and he returned to it frequently each time he went to cross another person off his list. He entered that place each time before he conquered another possibility, hoping that at the end, when he left that and he went to dream, he would come out not so alone.

It all started with Hermione; well to be fair, it all started with a dream.

Harry had dealt with the black lash from that afternoon he spent with Hermione in bed. He had destroyed Ron, taken away someone that meant the world to his best friend.

Harry left before Hermione awoke, leaving a note that said

“Quidditch practice

Later
H “

Not being able to deal with Hermione waking up, and Harry having to explain himself. Harry stayed out as late as possible that night, sitting in front of the lake thinking about what he had done, and really if it was the best thing. He wasn’t sure what he would do if he lost Ron and Hermione, but he knew whatever it was he could handle it if his Dream lover was by his side. For some reason he just knew that everything would be fine once he had found them.

Harry spent most of his time around the lake, until he returned to the Quidditch field, taking a calming midnight flight to clear his head, and make sure about what he was going to do next.

When he finally returned to the Gryffindor common room, getting a small lecture from the fat lady for him being up so late, and waking her up. He was too tired to deal with it, so he simply ignored her and walked in, quite content to return to his bed and crashed, except when he walked into the common room he heard someone cry, well to be exact a male crying.

He wanted to just leave them there crying, it really was none of his business, but he went over to the person anyway.

The midnight crier was Ron.

He looked absolutely devastated. “Ron” Harry said quietly “what’s wrong”

Ron paused in his crying, to look at his best friend “She left me” then he returned his face to his lap and continued to cry.

“Huh?” Harry said, not willing to believe what he had heard.

“’Mione left me…she said there was someone else” he sobbed, wiping his face on the sleeve of his robe.

At that moment Harry knew that there was real trouble to be had. Hermione had dumped Ron, assuming that she now had a relationship with Harry.

Hermione never told Ron who she had spent the afternoon with, it caused him to start on his path of bitterness, not trusting anyone at all, except for Harry, the very enemy that he should be weary of. Harry played his part well; he let Ron rant at every possible moment about what he would do when he found the person who had taken Hermione from him.

He never figured out what to do about Hermione, so he avoided Her, and from her he moved on, just to be disappointed time and time again, breaking more people up, causing the 7th girls Gryffindor’s dorm to be a mass of tears at night, they girls being so assured of a false sense of security when they went to lay with him, for Harry was a sweet boy, a sensitive boy, he wouldn’t ever just use a girl to dump her, or so everyone said.

Although each time he dreamed and awoke realizing that they were not the person he wanted, he bolted, leaving the girls asleep, but this time he left them with the same note.

“I’m sorry, it won’t work between us.

H “

Hoping that that would let them down easier, but it just stung them more and more.

All the girls turning inwards to blame themselves for this incident, for Harry was an innocent boy that would never do something like this, they must have corrupted him, seduced him, he was the savior to be of the wizarding world for god sakes, not a cruel bastard, or atleast that’s what they thought. This thought made it that much easier for Harry to move on to another girl each time, for no one would speak allowed what they had done, or what had been done to them.

Each time he found the girl to not be the one; he would look towards the future hopeful. One less person meant that there was more of a chance that the next person would be the one he wanted, although it also meant one more person he hurt.

He list now looked like this,

Hermione Granger - bubble gum

Lavender Brown - peppermint

Parvati Patil - cotton candy
Ginny Weasley
He deliberately wrote each of those names with time, care, thought, and as neatly as possible.

After Hermione, the next on the list was Harry’s chose person, and then down and down the list he went, until all of the girls but one were gone, and he felt hopeful, ecstatic, being sure that the last girl on his list would be the one.

….Ginny….

He felt so certain that she was to be the one, she had had a crush on him, until his 5th year in which it seemed that she had given up on him, maybe the dreams were proof that she never had given up on him…even though her poetry was complete rubbish, he still remembers what the valentine she sent him in his second year said.

\"His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad
His hair as dark as a blackboard,
I wish he was mine, he\'s really divine,
The hero who conquered the dark lord.\"

He laughed silently to himself as he thought about it. It would be rather fantastic if it was Ginny, then Ron and him would really be brothers.

Harry sat down to plan how to execute his plan to find out if Ginny was his dream lover, he would keep it the same way as all the others, he knew what he had to be sure, but now he just had to figure out how, even though Harry didn’t think that seducing the youngest Weasley would be that much of a problem.

~*~

He asked Colin when Ginny’s last class was, and it was Potions. Luckily Harry would only be missing Divination. He waited in the shadows, calmly going over and over again what he would do.

Everyone excited Snape’s class hurriedly, not wanting to be pray to the potion master’s mood swings, and him deciding on a whim to take away precious house points.

Ginny walked quickly away from the room, holding her textbooks to her chest, heading towards the Gryffindor common room before she headed down to the Great Hall for dinner.

“Gin” Harry whispered quietly.

Ginny stopped moving, she paused to look around herself, seeing no one she continued on her way. Harry raised his voice a little more and said “Gin”

She paused once again, finally seeing Harry, she said with uncertainty in her voice “Harry?”

He walked out from the shadows, smiling at her, “I was wondering if we could go some place to talk?”

“Sure” she said, completely puzzled.

~*~

If only she had turned away, then it wouldn’t have escaladed from there, as always Harry brought her to the Room of Requirements.

First began with talking, slowly Harry had it moving to a small touch of the arm, to a small brush of the cheek, until they were kissing.

Already they were too far gone for practically thought to stop then. Suddenly they were standing in the middle of the room, with nothing but a wall behind them. Harry’s robes were discarded, with Ginny remaining fully clothed, except for her robe which she tossed somewhere earlier on.

She moved down lower on Harry, until she was at his belt buckle, undoing his belt, then pants, disposing of them so soon Harry was left in his top and boxers.

She rubbed him through his boxers until he was fully erected, then slipping them down with a smile on her face.

She engulfed him in her mouth, running her touch over him, stroking him, and bobbing up and down on his throbbing member until he was past the point of sanity and he had moved onto delirium. As he reached his climax, he grabbed the sides of her face, holding it still as he rocked his hops back and forth, in and out of her mouth, until just before he came he pressed himself all the way inside her mouth, causing her to gag as he shot his load deep down her throat.

Panting as he came down from his orgasm high, Ginny was smiling at him from the ground. Slowly she rose from her knees, smiling, giving Harry a chaste kiss on the cheek saying “lets finish this later Harry, I’m famished, let me grab something and I will be right back” She said with a wink.

She left Harry there, just heading to the Great Hall to grab some food before she returned to continue what she had begun.

A bed appeared in the room; Harry sat on it with a sigh, running his fingers through his hair, looking at the ground wondering what he had done.

He reached for her robes, removing a piece of parchment, writing a small note that would soon become his trade mark as he went on breaking hearts.

“I’m sorry, it won’t work between us.

H “

He left it on top of her robe, willing the room of requirements to place a single red rose beside it, then he left there to go get some fresh air.

He went to the Quidditch pitch, taking out the original list that now had 3 names crossed out of it.

Crossing over Ginny’s name, writing Green apples beside it with a sigh, she tasted just like how his victory over her was so very bittersweet.

He had moved into the darkness of his mind, slowly remembering the purpose of him standing here, of what was to gain, instead of what he could possibly lose. Once again he had returned out alone, yet he remained slightly hopeful. Each time he entered the dark place of his mind that allowed him to do such cruel things to the girls of Gryffindor, he reminded himself of the person he was searching for. He couldn’t stand to remain alone, so he continued to enter the dark place of his mind, hoping that next time he leaves it he won’t be so alone, not noticing the tears and broken hearts he was leaving in his wake.
