Draco smiled to himself when he entered the room that afternoon during lunch. Harry was still asleep in the bed he had imagined and was looking very similar to an angel. Draco was tempted to simply strip down to his boxers himself and crawl into bed with him, but he resisted. It was to soon in the newly formed relationship for something of that magnitude, but soon.
Draco contented himself however, with watching Harry sleep. Something he was sure no one else would really take much notice too, not matter who he might be. It truly was a beautiful sight, heck Potter looked almost innocent when he slept. He looked like a boy who had never broken a single rule in his life and wouldn't dream of stepping out of line.
Draco snickered softly at this thought, then leaned over and woke Harry up gently. "Harry, love, you need to get up. It's time to eat."
"Ahhh, five more minutes Draco. I didn't sleep last night." Harry grumbled, turning over so he was facing the opposite way of the blonde Slytherin.
"Oh really, and what exactly were you doing? I know it wasn't studying," Draco said, pushing Harry a little harder.
"As a matter of fact, Malfoy, I was studying, I'm taking N.E.W.T. Potion's this year, and I need to pass it to get into Auror training." Harry said, fully awake now and ready for any snide comment his boyfriend might make.
"I knew that would get you up," Draco said with a satisfied smirk, "Now put on some clothes and let's talk."
Harry stared at the blonde for a second, before realizing that he had been tricked. He grinned, that was a very Harry thing to do, not something he would have expected out of Draco. He hadn't ever thought of him as a trickster, Jinxing people, sending them out on false duels and then telling Filtch that was just low. What Draco had just done was a pure, Gryffindor trick.
Harry dressed fairly quickly, then moved to his chair nearest the fireplace, he thought hard about a table, filled with food, and it appeared in front of them.
"So, Draco, tell me about your childhood." Harry said, putting mashed potatoes on his plate. "I mean were you really a spoiled brat?"
Draco looked at his food for a minute, seeming to think about what he could say and what he couldn't. Finally, he took a deep breath,
"Yeah, my parents gave me everything I could ever want. I had all the latest toys, games, broomsticks, potion labs..." Draco said, pausing for a moment, "But, they were never there, they were always at parties or off at social events. I didn't have many other children to play with; no parents would let their kids go to the house of a Death Eater, even a former one. It was so lonely; I couldn't even keep a pet. Mom said they were to dirty and gross, but you know, I've always wanted a cat. They just seem like such good company, they are loyal and well..." Draco sighed, and closed his eyes, his cheeks turned red, "They can... cuddle with you, when you're scared, after nightmares."
Harry looked at Draco and for a moment felt a flicker of something that wasn't acting in his heart. Draco had been a lonely little boy, just like he had, with no parents and no one to snuggle with when the nightmares got scary.
And Harry knew all about waking up to scary nightmares and having no one to run too.
"Draco, I'm sorry, really I am." Harry said suddenly, thought he wasn't quite sure what he was apologizing for.
"Why? You couldn't have changed my childhood, if you hadn't ever been born, my father would have been gone a lot more often and my mother would be more... more of a drunk then she is today." Draco said, fumbling over the last bit, "You know I really hated you in fifth year, when you put my Father in prison, because what you didn't realize is that when my Father is away, Mother drinks. She is hardly ever sober. She isn't happy and she worries about him."
Harry froze, remembering the Narcissa Malfoy he had seen at the World Cup, the look on her face, the way she held her head. She didn't seem like an alcoholic, but she was and Harry blamed himself automatically for that.
"Draco, I'm so sorry, I didn't know, I..." Harry said, but he didn't know what he could apologize for. He didn't know what to say to comfort the boy sitting in front of him, on the verge of tears.
"Don't apologize Potter, its better this way, at least now... I don't feel so alone. I have you and I know you really understand me, better then Pansy or Blaise or any of those idiots who are pretending to be my friend out of fear. That's all I need," Draco said, regaining himself as best as he could and kissing Harry softly.
"Draco, I promise I'll be the one you can come to when your nightmares get really scary." Harry said, knowing deep inside that he meant it.

Harry sat under his tree, his favorite Oak. The same tree he had sat under the night before, and the night before that. It had been almost three days since he had started his "relationship" with Draco and for some reason, he had yet to ask him anything about the Death Eaters, or there plans to take over the school. He knew he should, but for some reason, he couldn't.
Harry sighed and leaned back against the tree, thinking about a casual way he could bring up the Death Eaters in a conversation.
It wasn't going to be easy, but he had to do it. That was why he had accepted this whole thing in the first place, in order to avenge Cedric, Sirius and all the other deaths Voldemort had caused.
Then why was he suddenly getting the feeling he was falling head over heels for Draco Malfoy? I mean, he was the enemy right, the one he was supposed to pretend to care about, but didn't really?
The only consolation that Harry could think of was the fact he had yet to bring him to the tree. He had brought almost all his former lovers to the tree at one point or another and shared the simple beauty of the surroundings with them. He hadn't done that with Draco, which was confirmation enough for Harry that he didn't love him.
Harry sighed as he stood up and dusted himself off. He had double potions with the Slytherins today, and much to Snape's displeasure, they were still in the auditorium, where they could do no actual potion brewing.
Harry wasn't in the mood to deal with Snape's nasty temper if he showed up late again. He had enough on his mind as it was.
