Chapter V

A/N : Once again, apologies for this chapter taking so long. We moved house and I was reading Order of the Phoenix. Having read it I am well aware of the multitude of glaring errors that appear in my story. Sorry about that, but that\'s what I get for playing with JKR\'s boys and girls before she\'s finished with them. Remember, I started writing this before OOTP was published.

Thanx to MegaB for beta-ing ( is that a real word?)

Thanx to all the reviewers. It keeps me happy when I read your reviews...and a happy Nocturnali is a good thing. I work better.

arcee : I hadn\'t really thought too much about it, I just thought Storm was a good name for a girl on the Dark Side. I would\'ve liked to name my daughter Storm but my partner said I was crazy.
hibouette : Ta, and that bit was so hard to write too. God knows why. Once I started, it was easy. And yeah, something nasty will happen to Hermione.
kya : You sound confused. I\'m glad Storm made you feel something toward her. Keep going with the story, I hope it won\'t disappoint.
Jamie : LOL Thanx. That\'s why I\'m writing it...to be enjoyed.
lasair : We\'ll see about that, I haven\'t decided yet. Might just kill them. (haha) Not Dumbledore or Minerva (shudders) Snape - we’ll see, I’ll try but it’s not looking to good at the moment.
Gina : Ta. thi thing with Sirius will happen and I can’t wait to write it. I love him. I’m not allowed to do another tragedy. My beta would be most disappointed. The last story ended in tragedy, that’s why I’m rewriting the ending to it. As for Severus and Storm, I’ll try.
Anya : As Harry said in COS “You wish...”
Anon, Madison, Kat, Cloey and Tina : TA (warm happy feeling) (and that’s good) (love cupcakes)

Chapter V

The Defence Against the Dark Arts class was few in number. Eight Slytherin students and seven Gryffindors. Storm sat at the back of the class and looked around at the other students, her eyes falling on the red haired girl she’d seen with Hermione on the train. Had to be a Weasley.
Sirius entered the classroom and all eyes focused on him. His eyes swept the students thoughtfully. Storm sitting behind the rest by herself, the three other Slytherin girls at the front. He knew she hadn’t antagonised them yet, they were all sitting together at breakfast. He’d already had the feeling that there wasn’t much he could teach her about the Dark Arts, or defending herself against them. There again he had another feeling that she wouldn’t have to do much defending because she’d be the one using the dark magic.
He smiled, the class was divided down the middle, Slytherins on one side, Gryffindors on the other. Just like when he’d been here all those years ago. “Gryffindors and Slytherins...” he mused out loud, but more to himself. “Always makes for an interesting time.“
The lesson started and Storm tuned out. She was watching Sirius, but her mind was wandering. Watching Sirius was easy. He moved with an easy grace, lithe movements. And he was rarely still, walking up and down in front of the class, stopping only to emphasise a point. His voice was hypnotic - smooth and warm like her mother’s favourite cognac. She closed her eyes. She could listen to that voice forever...
“Miss Williams. What have I just spent the last twenty minutes explaining?” That liquid voice penetrated her thoughts.
Her eyes opened and she smiled lazily. The words ‘curses’, ‘pain’ and ‘death’ filtered into her mind from somewhere, so she took a shot. “The Unforgivable Curses.”
“Good guess, I don’t believe for one minute that you were paying attention.”
She shrugged. “Yeah, but I know you weren’t telling us anything new, like how to perform them.”
“How many of you think you really need to know how to use the Unforgivable Curses?” Sirius’ question included the whole class.
There were a few affirmative answers, more in the negative and one or two of ‘already know how’. Sirius nodded, he’d been expecting that, given the calibre of some of the Slytherin surnames in this class. He still wasn’t sure about Storm’s surname. Williams. He’d heard that one before, but he couldn’t remember where. He didn’t think it was connected with any Death Eaters, but these days you could never tell.
“There you are. Popular consensus says you don’t need to know how to use them.” Sirius personally didn’t agree with the ‘popular consensus’, but Dumbledore had told him that none but a select few were to be taught the curses.
“Let’s hope that the ‘popular consensus’ don’t come face to face with a couple of Death Eaters then.” The sarcasm was heavy in Storm’s retort. “What will they do if that happens?”
The brunette Gryffindor sitting next to Ginny turned to look at Storm. “We know what you’d do. Fuck them.” She smiled smugly when most of the students laughed at her quip.
I probably already have, Storm thought, and fixed the girl with an icy stare. “Yeah. And you’ll all die because your high morals afford you no survival skills. At least I have two options.” Three actually. What Death Eater was going to harm the Dark Lord’s daughter?
The brunette gave an indignant gasp and Sirius raised his hand to quiet the class. “Miss Williams has a valid point. One which I have discussed with the Headmaster on a good many occasions.” He looked at Storm. “Where did you learn the Unforgivables? Who taught them to you?”
She shook her head. “I can’t tell you that. It would let you know way too much about me.”
He laughed. “Why is it only Slytherins that know how to use those curses? I’d love to see a Hufflepuff use one of them.” The bell sounded, signalling change of lesson and Sirius pushed his fringe from his eyes, realising he hadn’t got through half of what he wanted these students to know. He sighed...next time would have to do.
“Sorry about that.”
He turned to face Storm, mildly surprised that she was still there. “No you’re not.”
She laughed. “You’re right. What’re you going to do about it?”
Sirius’ gaze raked her slowly. Apart from her too short skirt, or was it the too long legs, she looked the picture of innocence. Her hair was plaited, her uniform immaculate and she was wearing shoes. What was he going to do? Nothing! Her tongue licked her bottom lip and her teeth bit it gently while she waited for his answer. His resolve almost weakened. Even her innocence was arousing, feigned though it might be. “I’m not giving you detention. You haven’t done anything wrong.”
“Do you want me to?”
An exasperated sigh. “Go to your next lesson Miss Williams.”
She kissed two fingers and pressed them against his lips. “Don’t fight it Professor. You want it as much as I do. Just let me know, I’ll be there.” she laughed and left the classroom, alerting Sirius to the fact that his next class were waiting outside patiently.
Damn her. He shook his head to rid himself of the image of her and inhaled deeply. Not a good idea. The scent of cinnamon invaded his senses, bringing back the distracting vision of her. God, it was going to have to be soon.

After she’d left Sirius, Storm found herself following a group of students who were in no hurry to be anywhere. She spotted Draco ahead of her and was about to call out to him, when she noticed who was walking along side him, talking to him. Harry. Interesting. As far as she knew they really didn’t like each other. They separated, Draco heading for the dungeons, probably the Slytherin common room, and Harry heading for the library. Transfiguration, where she was supposed to be for her next lesson, or the library? Storm barely even thought about it and followed Harry. She waited five minutes and entered the library, scanning the room. There he was. At a table toward the back of the room, sitting by himself. Randomly selecting a book from a shelf, Storm ambled over and sat opposite him. He looked up from the notes he was making, clearly not expecting to be disturbed.
“Not that I’m complaining, but I’m sure you should be in class...probably transfiguration.”
“Yeah. Not important.” she shrugged. “How do you know where I should be?”
“I find it useful to know where some people are. Not you...” he smiled at the surprised look on her face. “Not yet, anyway.”
“Then who...?” Realisation dawned. “Baby Weasley. You and her...and Hermione. An interesting threesome.”
Harry shook his head. “No. Hermione doesn’t know.” a small laugh. “D’you think she’d actually go for that?”
“Probably not, since she told me she doesn’t even dress up for you. Is that why you’ve got Baby Weasley?”
“Ginny.” Harry corrected her and shook his head. “I don’t know how that happened, but it’s convenient.”
“I would’ve said ‘dangerous’. They’re both Gryffindors...and friends.” Storm was beginning to think there was some hope for Harry. She’d never have believed a clean living Gryffindor would screw around on his girlfriend...with his best mate’s sister. Dangerous. A Gryffindor would do it because he was brave. A Slytherin because he could - sneakiness and deception came naturally to them. Gryffindors and Slytherins weren’t so different. Same outcome, just different reasons for getting there.
He laughed. “I would have said that dangerous was fucking two members of the same family.”
“I’ve made no promises to either of them, nothing exclusive. That’s the difference.” a small shrug. “And they both know.”
He laughed. “So...who’s next?”
Storm didn’t laugh and the look she gave him let him know the answer to his question. “...or your godfather. Keep it in the family.”
Harry swallowed. “Um...Sirius is a teacher. That’s not allowed.”
“Yeah. And you’re Hermione’s boyfriend. That doesn’t bother me either.” she leaned across the table and kissed him. “I won’t even tell her if you don’t want me to.”
A wry smile. “Oh yeah, great. Thanks for that.” Sarcasm was a wonderful thing, it helped in some of the most unusual of circumstances. He decided to find out how serious she was with her flirting. “Tonight. Prefects bathroom.” He jotted directions on a piece of scrap parchment:

fifth floor
fourth door to the left
of Boris the Bewildered
8-30

“Okay.” she slipped the note into her pocket. “Is there a pass word that I need to know.”
He nodded. “But I’m not telling you that. Wait for me outside, I won’t be late.” he threw his quill, parchment and books into his school bag just as the bell sounded for the next lesson. “You’ve got potions now. I don’t advise you to miss that lesson.”
She stood, leaving her book on the table. “Don’t worry about me.” she picked up her school bag and left the library, stopping in the doorway and turning to blow him a kiss.
Harry smiled and followed her, wondering if she’d turn up, and if she’d be on time. Somehow he knew she’d make him wait for her.

Having mixed very few potions in her previous schooling, Storm was out of her depth. Snape spoke fast and expected everyone to understand what he was talking about. Tori helped as much as she dared. until Snape’s glares finally quieted her.
“Is there a problem, Miss Williams?”
“Only if you want something that resembles whatever it was you asked for.”
Snape’s eyes narrowed as he stalked towards her. “How can you possibly make something when you don’t even know what it is that you are making?”
Storm shrugged. “Like I care anyway...” she muttered.
“Losing five points from Slytherin should make you care.” Snape scowled. He hated removing points from his own house.
“Doubtful.” she laughed. “Why the hell do I need to know how to mix potions?”
“Because it is part of the curriculum. Believe me, Miss Williams, I take no pleasure in teaching students like you.”
“Don’t then.” she picked up her school bag and made it to the doorway just in time to hear the door lock itself. She turned on Snape, her eyes narrow. “You’ve all but said you don’t want me in this class. I’m doing you a huge favour. Let me out.”
“Take your seat Miss Williams. You’re here to learn.” Snape sounded like he could lose his temper at any moment.
Storm laughed at him. “Do you think my parents care if I know how to...cook?”
A few sniggers broke the silence that had descended on the classroom when their argument began. Snape glared at the offenders, both Slytherin and Gryffindor, then back at Storm. “Detention. Seven - thirty tonight...here.” the door unlocked at a word from him. “Get out!”
She left, dissatisfied that the door to the classroom was too heavy to slam behind her, and made her way to the Slytherin common room. Lady Luck was not with her today. Detention from Snape she received without even trying, yet Sirius hadn’t seemed annoyed by her interruptions and contradictions at all, refusing to goaded into an argument She threw herself onto the couch in front of the fire and stretched towards it, warming her hands. Detention with Snape or a bath with Harry. She laughed to herself. Decisions decisions. She had no doubt that Snape’s detention would run past eight - thirty. Simple really.

By the end of the day Storm seriously wondered how she was going to cope with a year of school rules and regulationshe khe knew more about divination than Professor Trelawney, and had already made up her mind she wouldn’t be continuing with that subject. She found Astronomy fascinating and Herbology interesting, but of little use - she wasn’t going to be a gardener either. She looked around the Great Hall with contempt. Look at them all, thinking they were so safe. So certain that The Dark Lord couldn’t penetrate Hogwarts walls. Well, she was there as proof that he could, not that any of these idiots knew that. She was there for a reason, and once she’d completed that task she’d be gone. The quicker the better, then she could get on with her own life. She thought ahead to her tryst with Harry - and if she could have a little fun and cause a bit of mayhem in the course of that task, all the better.
“I wouldn’t be smiling if I had detention with Snape this evening.” Tori was watching her new friend with interest. She’d never met anyone quite like Storm.
“You think he scares me?”
Tori laughed. “No, I don’t. You’re not going, are you?” She finished her pumpkin juice. “Are you meeting someone? Who?”
Storm shook her head. “All I’ve got to do is keep out of Snape’s way for the rest of the evening. Is he likely to come and get me if I don’t turn up for detention?”
Tori shrugged. “I’ve never had detention with him.”

Storm decided she’d stay in the Slytherin common room and tackle some homework. If Snape came to get her she’d deal with it then. Seven - thirty came and went and Snape didn’t show up. Tori said that he’d probably thought Storm was too much trouble and was better off without her disrupting detention. Storm laughed at that but knew better. She wasn’t going to get away with talking to him like that.
At eight - thirty, after packing her books and parchment away, she left the common room, telling Tori she was going to the library. Tori and Cleo smiled and looked sceptical. Storm shrugged. She didn’t care what they thought. She made her way quickly to the fifth floor, but it took her several minutes to locate Boris the Bewildered, not being sure if he was a statue or a painting. When eventually she found him, she counted four doors to the left and leaned against the wall opposite.
“I knew you’d keep me waiting.” A soft disembodied voice in her ear startled her.
“You’re not disappointed then, are you?” She laughed softly as Harry appeared from beneath his invisibility cloak.
The green eyes swept her from head to toe. “Not at all.” He noticed that she’d changed out of her school uniform and was now wearing jeans and a ‘Slytherin Quidditch Team’ t-shirt that was too big for her. Probably Draco’s. He wondered vaguely when she’d managed to nick that from him. He took her hand. “C’mon. Goldfish.” The door opened at the softly spoken password and they entered the biggest bathroom Storm had ever seen. All white marble and softly candle lit. The bath was the size of a swimming pool, leaving her to wonder how long it was going to take to fill it. Harry let go of her hand and turned two of the taps on. Teal coloured bubbles poured from one of the taps and violet coloured frothy water from the other. She laughed at the colour combination. Harry shrugged. “You never know what each tap will give you from day to day.” He picked up a couple of the white fluffy towels that were stacked in the corner and placed them next to the bath. “It’ll just take a few minutes to fill.” His arms went around Storm, hands under her t-shirt, pushing it up, pulling it over her head and then warm and rough on her skin. Their lips met and Storm groaned at the back of her throat when Harry’s thumbs teased her nipples. His lips left hers and, breathing heavily, he trailed them across her neck, alternately kissing and biting, leaving a love bite next to the one Draco had left there that morning. “Let’s get in the bath.” Letting go of Storm reluctantly, Harry turned the taps off and undressed, leaving his clothes in an untidy heap on the floor.
She watched him while she removed her jeans and underwear. Slim, toned and nicely muscled body. Must be from all that Quidditch. He glanced at her and smiled before jumping in the bath, causing teal bubbles to float into the air around him. “C’mon. Let’s fuck in the water.”
Storm didn’t need an invitation like that twice. She slid into the bath rather than jump - she didn’t like being under water - amazed at the perfect temperature and the softness of the water and wrapped herself around the boy who had all but destroyed her father.
