Purple goo
Chapter 5: Purple Goo
Sarah and Jasmine had sat down to eat lunch. Their last class for the day was Herbology. They had heard from other classes that there was going to be a challenge. Well that’s what they said. Sarah and Jasmine had no idea was it was going to be about. If there was one.
After they had finished breakfast and laughing at Anthony’s limp they gathered all of their belongings and stood up from the table.
They began to walk away when Sarah realized that she had left her diary back at the Slytherin table.
“Hey, Jas wait a sec, I forgot something.”
“Ok, hurry up.” Jasmine stopped walking. Sarah ran back over to her seat at the table and picked up her leather book. She noticed something on the book that she hadn’t seen there before. On the bottom left hand corner of the book was a snakes head. What did all this mean? Sarah stood there looking stunned. What was the deal with all the snaked heads? She didn’t have any time to think about it. Jasmine was yelling for her to hurry up. Sarah shoved her book into her bag and walked up to Jasmine. They both were already late for class so they ran as fast as they could to green house 4. They ran into the green house slamming the door open. Everyone in the green house looked up at them.
“Why are you two girls late?” Professor Sprout asked.
“Ah…sorry professor. We got caught up in something.” Sarah replied.
“That is not good enough.” Sprout tut tutted. “Miss Harrison you go and sit with Mr. Malfoy.” Sprout ordered. Sarah sighed and sat herself next to Draco. Draco for some reason had asked Sprout if he could be partnered up with Sarah. “Miss Carmondy you go and sit by Mr. Weasley.” Jasmine walked over to a Gryffindor boy with bright red hair. Sarah could see that Jasmine didn’t like that boy much. Sarah had never met that boy before and didn’t really know what he was like but she knew who he was. Sarah thought that Ron was hilarious. He would always get in to trouble. Sprout continued the lesson. “As you all see you have all have one plant in front of you. You will use diffindo so these plants and you must write down their reaction. If you saw the spell wrong the out come will be different. Now please partner up with the person next to you.” Draco moved closer to Sarah. Sarah knew that spell very well. Sarah sighed as Draco moved even closer. She did like him but had to pretend that she didn’t. Everyone got into pairs. Sarah pulled her bulky green plant closer to her. It was a hideous looking plant.
“Are we going to do this or not?” Sarah asked Draco with a fake angry tone.
“You go first.” Draco replied with a slightly evil tone. Sarah couldn’t get enough of the evil side of him.
“Fine.” Sarah pulled out her wand from her cloak and pointed it at her plant. “Dido!”do!” Sarah pronounced clearly. The plant burst opened and purple goo started to ooze out of the top bulb of the plant. Then the plant started to disintegrate and die. Sarah quickly wrote down the reactions that the plant made with the charm. Draco seemed to be gaining pleasure from watching the plant die. But Sarah was more interested in him. She watched him poke the plant with the end of his wand. “How immature.” Sarah muttered. Draco looked at her and flashed his eyebrows up and down a couple of times. “Your turn now Malfoy.”
“Alright.” Draco pointed his wand at his own plant. “Diffindo.” He said clearly. Draco hit the plant with the spell at the wrong angle and it exploded, all the purple goo landed on Sarah’s robes. Sarah shot up.
“YOU FUCKING GIT!” Sarah yelled. Draco laughed uncontrollably. She grabbed a handful of the goo and rubbe int into Draco’s face. He stopped laughing and shot up to.
“Bitch!” Draco hissed. Sarah laughed back at him. They both began rubbing goo into each others faces. They were on the floor fighting nearly killing each other when Sprout walked up to them.
“MR MALFOY, MISS HARRISON WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU TWO THINK YOU ARE DOING?!” Sprout yelled over their voices. Sarah and Draco looked up at their teacher from the floor, purple goo all over their faces. There we’re students hovering over them. They both quickly got to their feet.
“Sorry professor.” Sarah apologized. Draco stood there trying to hide his laughter.
“Both of you will have a detention tonight cleaning out this whole green house.”
“Yes professor.” Sarah nodded.
“Good.” Sprout walked off. Sarah looked over at Draco. “Both of you leave before the goo stains your skin.”
“Thanks a lot Malfoy, you just got us both a detention.” Sarah snarled. “I’ve never ever had a detention in my life until now.”
“It was worth it.” Draco had a look of contempt on his face.
“Argh!” ‘God he’s really starting to annoy me now. I bet he’s really stupid and gets detentions all the time.’ Sarah grabbed all of things and left. She walked all the way back to the Slytherin common room. She was cursing silently. She had broken her record of never having a detention in her life all thanks to Malfoy. She heard fast footsteps behind her.
“Hey Sarah wait.” Draco called. Sarah walked faster. Draco caught up to her and stopped her from walking.
“Piss off Malfoy.” Sarah demanded.
“Oh come on. You can’t tell me that you didn’t like our little fight.” Draco smirked. \"I know you like touching me.\"
Sarah scoffed “Draco stop being so stuck up not everyone likes touching you. I actually hated it. It was horrible and I never want to get that close to you again even if I was told that I\'d have to die if I didn\'t touch you.” Sarah sneered. They both seemo hao have a very complicated relationship. Draco was getting a little angry. “You got me a detention, I don’t like getting detentions that are caused by pathetic mummy’s boys.” Draco raised and eyebrow.
“You are really pissed.”
“Yes I am.” Sarah continued walking.
“It’s just one detention.”
“It still matters Malfoy. I was the top student at Durmstrang and I’m begging to be one of the top students out of the whole of Hogwarts but now because of you I’m probably at your academic level.” Sarah pointed at Draco’s chest.
“One detention is not going to affect your grades Sarah!” Draco spat.
“What ever. Oh no Malfoy it looks like the goo has coloured your platinum blond hair purple.” Sarah laughed.
“Shit.” Draco ran up to the boys dorms. Sarah laughed and walked up to her room.
