\"So, are you enjoying the ship\'s amenities?\" McCoy looked directly at Bronwyn and smiled with the peace that comes from someone who has seen many things and was at peace with the world around him.
Nurse Chapel was staring daggers at Bronwyn, who was highly offended by the blonde\'s nasty gaze. She turned her attention back to the friendly Southern doctor.
\"We haven\'t seen the ship\'s amenities, aside from the sick bay, the mess hall and the shower in here.\" Bronwyn sighed. \"If you have amenities, I would love to see them.\"
***Especially if you can show them to me without breathing down my neck!***
McCoy turned to Snape, gently appraising the Wizard. \"Refresh my memory. What do you do?\"
\"I am a Wizard. I zap annoying people in the arse with my wand. At one time, I specialized in the Dark Arts. My specialty is potions...\"
\"You mean like love potions?\" Nurse Chapel suddenly perked up.
Snape snarled at the blonde nurse. \"There are no such things as love potions.\" he spat. \"I\'m an alchemist, a brewer of life and death. I can bottle fame and brew glory...\" He caught Bronwyn\'s enraptured gaze and smirked. He reached for Bronwyn\'s hand and pressed the knuckles to his lips. \"But love potions cannot be brewed. It is in the chemistry of two beings\' hormones and cannot be replicated.\" Black, glittering gems gazed deeply into the brandy colored orbs, words passing between the two that would never be uttered on either\'s breath. \"I know how to make someone my slave, but there is no joy in that.\"
\"Slave?\" Nurse Chapel chirped. \"Slave would be good. Would you like to see our labs?\"
A single black eyebrow raised in the nurse\'s direction. \"You have laboratories?\"
A slow, seductive smile stole across the woman\'s face. \"I can show you...\"
Snape dropped Bronwyn\'s hand. \"By all means, madam. Show me your laboratories!\" With a sweep of his robes, the two exited the chambers, without a backwards glance at the again gaping Bronwyn.
\"I think I am ready to check out your ... amenities, Dr. McCoy.\" Bronwyn\'s eyes filled with tears and she struggled to hold them back. First Haldir and now Severus. What was the world coming to?
\"Don\'t you worry about them.\" Dr. McCoy put her hand in his elbow. \"He\'ll come back. They always come back.\" And he escorted her from the chamber.
***
For three hours, the good doctor showed her the pools, the gathering places, the game room, the holodecks, the music room; once they passed Haldir clinging tightly to the ship\'s communication officer, Lt. Uhura. He waved happily and continued on with no words to say to Bronwyn. She caught herself turning and looking back, watching his well - muscled form prance slowly around the corner, with that... woman... hanging all over him.
Her eyes narrowed in fury.
She wasn\'t paying attention as the doctor guided her into a large room.
The entire outer bulkhead was glassed in, similar to the mess hall, only instead of streaks of white, planets were swirling slowly.
\"What would you like to see, Bronwyn?\"
\"I can choose anything?\"
\"Any solar system, star system known to the Federation, is stored here. Would you like to start with something simple?\"
\"I am really very tired. It\'s been a trying day.\" Her hand suddenly felt very sweaty in the crook of McCoy\'s elbow. \"Perhaps, you could return me to my room. Severus or Haldir might be waiting for me.\"
He pulled her closer to the bulkhead. \"They aren\'t there, Bronwyn. Look.\" He turned to the bulkhead. \"Computer. Solar system of Earth. Entire system.\"
The view blurred, changed and Bronwyn saw herself looking at her home solar system. The sun, burning brightly, solar flares jumping. Tiny Mercury, red and hard. Venus, beautiful, swirling colors, deadly gases.
Earth. The blue marble. So peaceful, so lovely...
\"I would really like to go back to my room, Dr. McCoy. Even if Haldir or Severus aren\'t there, I\'m very tired...\"
She found herself gently pinned to the bulkhead, McCoy\'s face inches from her.
\"They don\'t care, Bronwyn. Something has happened to them and they don\'t match their profiles. Haven\'t you figured it out? Something is wrong! You are the only one who hasn\'t changed!\" McCoy pressed against her intimately, his forehead against hers. \"You are still the bright, shining one, you should be the one getting the attention. They should be hovering over you! Where are they? With duller stars. Let me worship you!\" And with that, his mouth came crashing down hers.
Bronwyn gasped in horror and he took the opportunity to stick his tongue in her mouth.
She recovered quickly.
She bit down. As he pulled back, her knee raised sharply, causing him to gasp. As he bent over, she shoved him away, spitting and gagging.
\"Damn! Damn your vile... oh, gag me!\" Bronwyn ran from the observation deck, leaving the doctor lowering himself in pain to the floor. She darted out the door, down the corridors.
She ran and ran until she realized she was hopelessly lost.
Great. Fucking great!
She wandered for many minutes, aimlessly, without thought...
\"Bronwyn? Miss?\" She turned to look into the sympathetic eyes of Security Officer Bob. She took an involuntary step back. He held his hand out. \"It\'s okay. Let me guess - Doctor McCoy accosted you.\"
\"Yes. How did you kn-\"
\"It\'s how they work.\" The young man shrugged. \"The Captain goes after everyone, I\'m sure Spock is drawn to your musical and cultural knowledge and tried to gain access using that as a wedge, Dr. McCoy waited until you were worn down and comfortable... am I close?\"
\"Yes.\" Bronwyn continued to back up. \"Give me one reason to trust you.\"
His smile was angelic. \"Well, you can\'t. I can do the best I can to convince you, but the fact is, you won\'t trust me because of them. Are your husband and lover acting normally?\"
\"No.\"
\"Well then, that\'s that.\" The slender security officer shrugged. \"All I can do is try not to startle you. Where would you like to go?\"
Bronwyn realized she did not want to go back to her quiet, dark, lonely room. She especially didn\'t want to go back if Haldir was there with Lt. Uhura or Severus with Nurse Chapel.
\"I think I would like to go swimming.\"
A slow, boyish smile graced his features. \"Swimming it is. Follow me.\"
***
The two had enjoyed a wonderful time in the pool and the heated jacuzzi. The ship\'s computer generated a stylish, yet conservative bathing suit for Bronwyn. Bob stayed in one corner of the pool, watching her as she swam laps and allowed the water jets to knead the kinks from her long slumbering muscles. True to his word, he made no sudden move, did not attempt to touch her, kiss her, seduce her. Too many times, he had opportunity, but he let them slide by.
Eventually, she tired and knew she could put the inevitable off no longer. She needed sleep and rest and she needed to return to her assigned guest quarters.
Well, if Haldir or Severus were there with another female, she would just have to string and quarter them. And then they were going to have a talk and figure out what was going on.
She went to the changing room, dried off and put back on the beautiful flowing gown. Bob was waiting and they exited the pool and went into the corridor.
They were having a nice conversation about nothing in particular, when there was a shrieking noise, the sound of something whizzing towards the ship at an incredible speed. It connected, hit the ship and knocked Bronwyn into the wall, The lights dimmed and flashing red lights came one.
\"Red Alert. Red Alert. Battle Stations. Shields are buckling. Klingon Bird of Prey in the vicinity, Again, Battle Stations, this is a red alert!\"
Again, the screaming sound and the ship shuddered, beams and pieces of the ship falling in on Bronwyn and Bob. She felt him shove her sideways, away from the falling rubble. The lights went out for several minutes and when Bronwyn finally came too, only the low emergency red light was on - dust filling the corridor.
\"Bob? Bob?\" She became anxious when she couldn\'t see him. Finally, she heard low moaning and crawling over paneling, she found him buried under debris. \"Oh, Bob.\" She pulled back the rubble and saw in dismay, the damage, the grievous injuries he had sustained, shoving her out of the way.
\"Oh, no.\" she moaned, taking n the blood, the torn mass of his chest, A small trickle of blood dribbled from his mouth.
\"It\'s okay, Bronwyn. You\'re okay.\"
\"Bob... don\'t talk,\" She continued to pull refuse away from him. \"We\'ll get you to sick bay. Doctor McCoy-\"
A bloodied hand grabbed her wrist. \"You can\'t save me. I\'m just a lowly extra security officer. I should have died on the planet. Instead, I was blessed to spend time with you. For that, I am grateful. Listen,\" the bloodied hand went to her mouth, shushing her and his voice lowered to a whisper, \" you must get your husband and your lover off this ship. You will never find the answers on board. Got that? You have to get off the ship! Promise me!\"
Bronwyn was becoming frantic, trying to free the Security Officer. \"I promise, I promise, let me get this off of you... Bob?\" The hand fell from her face and his sweet eyes glazed over.
Where it came from, she never knew, but after she closed his unseeing eyes, she laid her fist over her heart and spoke the words etched deep into her mind.
\"By Grabthar\'s hammer, by the sons of Worvan, you shall be avenged.\"
Bronwyn then fell to her knees and cried until she could cry no more.
***
Eventually, she got up and tried to leave the area. The air was acidic and she reached an area closer in that was not so damaged. A man in a gold shirt came up to her and informed her she was needed immediately on the command deck. She followed him meekly, stunned by the violence from the Klingon ship.
The command deck was in chaos. Spock was shouting, Kirk was shouting, Sulu was shouting, Chekov was shouting, Scotty was shouting.
Haldir had Uhura pinned to a wall and was trying to remove her tonsils with his tongue. Bronwyn backhanded him.
\"Get off my Elf, bitch!\"
Uhura screwed up her nose. \"You think you\'re all that? You have that tall dark sexy Wizard and you call ME bitch? Who have YOU been swimming with the last two hours, hmm?\"
Bronwyn was aghast. \"Haldir...\"
\"It\'s the end of the world as we know it, love. Go find some nookie!\" Haldir returned to the communications officer\'s arms and mouth.
Before Bronwyn could raise her arm to attack the woman, she felt herself yanked away, into the darkened corner of the command center. She looked up, startled, into Spock\'s eyes, \"Shh. Listen.\"
The view screen came up and the face of the Klingon commander filled the vid. \"Well, Kirk? Have you come to a decision?\"
Kirk held out his hands in supplication. \"Kalgon. We are still trying to understand what you want.\"
The big, meaty fist of the Klingon slammed onto his console.
Kirk\'s loins tightened.
He squashed the thought. (Must be the leather and long hair, all those studs...)
\"Kirk! Do not play games with me! We know you retrieved three cases full of weapons from the planet Saramauna. You will give us those weapons or we will blast your asses back to the Rings of Uranus!\"
\"Can you give us five minutes? We truly have no idea...\"
\"Five minutes! That\'s all you\'ve got!\" The screen went blank.
Kirk turned around and looked at the Elf, who was not paying attention to anyone and the Woman, who was on the verge of tears.
\"Where is the Wizard?\"
Spock leaned around Bronwyn, flipping a switch. A camera in sick bay went on and Snape could be seen with Nurse Chapel, her uniform bunched high around her waist and him pounding into her. No sound could be heard, but Bronwyn could imagine the moans and groans...
She turned her head away.
They looked like her loves, they sounded like her loves, but they were not her loves.
She was truly alone.
The viewscreen came back on.
\"Well, Kirk? Do you give them to us? Or do we blast you into... Great Kobarium. Who is that exquisite creature?\" The Klingon commander came closer to the screen. Damn. He was fogging up the thing!
\"Who are you talking about, Kalgon?\"
\"HER!\" He pointed to the screen. \"The one in the green frothy dress and the,\" his hands made cupping motions at his chest, \"the one with the enormous tatas!\" Kirk turned and saw Bronwyn, tears running down her cheeks, trying to back into the shadows. He grabbed her roughly, pulled her forward.
\"Her?\"
\"Her!\" The Klingon licked his lips in anticipation, his eyes watering at the sight. \"I\'ve changed my mind. Give me her and I\'ll never dog you again.\"
\"NO!\" Bronwyn gasped. \"I\'m married! I have a lover already! I don\'t want...\" she threw her hand at the screen, \"... Him! Make him go away!\"
Kirk looked at her, calculating her worth. \"I don\'t think your husband or lover cares at this minute.\" The lights went up and she could plainly see Haldir, pressed against Uhura, moaning her name...
Spock flipped a switch and on every screen was Severus, now rolling on a sickbay gurney, naked, pale buttocks, pale everything, wrapped in the embrace of the buxom blonde bimbo...
She looked back at the screen. The Klingon was now making wuvvy faces, puckers, at the screen.
And apparently telling her in Klingon what he planned to do to her.
It was nasty.
Kirk was looking at her with new eyes.
\"No. You can\'t possibly...\"
\"The needs of the many out weigh the needs of one.\" Spock whispered.
\"You can\'t possibly even consider this an option!\" She grabbed Kirk\'s hand. She could she was considering it. \"I am not some chattel for you to weigh life or death over!\"
\"I must consider my crew.\" Kirk told her reasonably. \"What do you have to keep you here? Your husband?\" He gestured to Haldir, who was not paying any heed. \"Your lover?\" He was at the moment, roaring in orgasm. \"I\'m sorry, sweet Bronwyn.\" He turned to the Klingon. \"You got your woman! Kalgon! Take her away! Scotty? Can you energize from here?\"
\"Aye aye, cap\'n!\" The burly Scotsman turned his back on all and proceeded to whisper commands into the comm.
There was a whine and as the command center snowed over, fuzzed out, Bronwyn began to scream...
\"Nooooooo......\"
