Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Dangerous games

Disclaimer: I, nor does any other than J.K.Rowling, Bloomsbury, and Scholastic own Harry Potter or related indicia. No money is being made from this or no copyright is being infringed. I only own this little plot and if I owned HP I would not be writing Remus/Sirius in a fiction. Thank you *smiles*

Summary: Sirius and Remus talk about everything and make some very difficult decisions. I think this chapter may have a weird effect and this story will get darker. A lot darker. But this is not how it will end, trust me. I like happiness as much as the next bitch (Er…I mean person).

A/N: I know, I know, I am a huge whore that deserves it up the ass without lube. Sorry for taking so long to update but I have been working on a Draco/Harry titled “Dark bonds”. It has been fun to write, yet hard and challenging. Please take the time to review (though I know I don’t deserve it).

(Thank yous next chapter!)

“James, damnit! Why are you doing this to us?” Remus said angrily, looking at the ground where his lover laid. “What is your fucking problem?!” He growled, starting to take some wolfish appearances. His anger showed through yellow eyes and he was shaking with withheld strength and mutiny.

Peter made a small noise and started to back away while James was still panic stricken from Sirius’ outrage. Though Remus held him temper, no one would be there to help James if Remus got angry. James shuddered.

“I-I…” said James, looking at Peter for help.

“What?” Remus responded coldly, urging him to finish his sentence.

“It’s just wrong. You aren’t supposed to love each other. It’s….” James started but stopped when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

“May I ask what is happening?” said the headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, with a small glint in his eyes. He surveyed the scene: Sirius, laying on the ground; Peter with a small trickle of blood from his forehead; James paled and angry, and Remus with his yellow eyes and a murderous aura around him. The Professor, hearing a great deal of the conversation looked at James and sighed.

“Why Mr. Potter…” Albus paused, shaking his head in a sorrowful way. “…would you ever betray your friends in such a way?”

James just stared at the ground, making a noncommittal noise.

“Mr. Pettigrew?” Albus asked the smaller boy who just managed a strangled sort of groan. The headmaster shook his head again and pointed his wand to Sirius, whispering a spell. After a minute, the boy raised his head and looked around. He didn’t realize that the professor was there until he heard him clear his throat.

“Sirius, could you tell me what happened?” Remus looked at his lover and smiled slightly, the turned his head to James and Peter, who looked as shocked and confused as ever.

“Yes sir.” He paused, wiping a strand oh his fine dark hair out of his face. “Me and Remus have started a…well, a…”

“Courtship?” Albus supplied helpfully.

“Yes. And when we told James and Peter…” Sirius looked at them, scowling. “They didn’t approve. I lost my temper and Remus, trying to stop me from hurting them, knocked me unconscious.”

“I see.” The professor looked at the James and peter, shaking his head. With a disapproving nod, he said, “I think you two should head to the castle. Wait for me in my office, and when I am finished talking to these young men…” he pointed to Sirius and Remus. “I will deal with you both.”

James and Peter nodded silently and traipsed back to the castle, after sending scowls to Sirius. Remus walked to Sirius and grabbed his hand protectively, extracting a small chuckle from their Headmaster.

“You both need to be more careful with who you trust,” Albus started. “In this world, not everyone can be respectful of some things. James and Peter may change their feelings, but if they don’t, then there is nothing you could do.

“I realize this is hard for you both, so I am going to arrange separate rooms. But depending on how I deal with the other boys, we may not need to come to this. I suggest you go to your rooms while I talk to James and Peter. Food will be waiting there. Good day.” Albus nodded his head and walked up to the castle, his eyes twinkling with a small, suppressed anger.

Remus and Sirius didn’t feel like going to eat right away, so they walked around the lake holding hands. They started to talk when they heard a slight noise behind them.

“Who is it?” Remus asked, holding out his wand when he heard a small growl of frustration, knowing what it was he put his wand down. Lucius Malfoy, followed closely by Severus Snape, came out from the woods and nodded to both Gryffindors.

“What are you doing here?” Sirius spat at them. He had a small prejudice against Slytherins. Remus nudged him and whispered, “It’s fine.” He then turned to the older Slytherin.

“I suppose you saw it all?” Severus nodded sadly and Lucius scowled.

“Yes,” Lucius said. “I feel quite angered by that incident. I don’t know why you stopped Black from killing Potter. It would have done him good!” He smirked and opened his mouth when Snape interrupted.

“If he killed Potter then he would go to Azkaban. Then what would Remus do?” Severus smiled at Remus and smirked at a confused Sirius.

“Yes, you are right.” Malfoy grabbed Severus’ hand and clasped his own within. Then Sirius understood.

“Oh, you two are gay?” he asked, his eyes widening in shock.

“Bi-sexual, but yes you have the point. Guess we aren’t too different, eh?” Lucius smirked and Remus looked at him disapprovingly.

“Sirius,” Remus started. “When I realized I liked you, I needed someone to talk to it about. I ran into them one day, er…in an empty classroom, and they helped me understand my feelings. That’s the week before I confronted you.” He looked shyly at his lover who smiled and nodded his head.

“Yes, well, we must be going,” drawled Ses. “s. “If you must speak to us, we will be where we usually are. And be careful around Potter and Pettigrew. Good bye.” They walked away hand in hand and Sirius just started to laugh in an awkward way.

“I guess I underestimated the Slytherin cunning after all.”
