“May I ask why you have had a sudden change of heart and decided to move to Slytherin? You do realize it will take you a long time to settle in and you maver ver settle in properly.” Professor Dumbledore asked with a serious look in his eyes.
“Well... last night my father, Severus that is, and I had a talk and well things happened. And so he told me that I was his son.” Harry said.
“Well you can’t just move into Syitherin because your father wants you to.”
“But you see I\'m not, I\'ve never really fitted in, had any real friends in Gryffindor, apart from Hermiond Rnd Ron. Lately I haven\'t been getting on with them too, I just want a fresh start, not to mention I‘d like to see how I am in Slytherin. The Sorting Hat would’ve put me in Slytherin if I hadn\'t of asked not to be.”
“Yes, but you asked not to be in that house for a reason Harry and the reason if, I remember correctly, is that you didn\'t want to turn out lihe phe people in that house.”
“You mean bad don\'t you? Well my dad didn\'t turn out badly in the end did he? So just because I move there doesn\'t mean that I will either! I just want my father to be my head of house, it only seems right.”
“Ok, but let me tell you this, it doesn\'t always work out how you want. People won’t accept you unless you are defiantly a true Slytherin, and if you are you will be fine.... But if not, I cannot allow you to move back into Gryffindor, and you will stay an outsider for your
remaining time at Hogwarts.”
“I won’t want to move back anyway.” Harry said triumphantly.
“ Before you leave I have a couple more things to tell you. Firstly, is that I must first warn you that you are at the moment the heir of Gryffindor. But if you change to Slytherin you will no longer be full heir of Gryffindor but only half heir, as well as being heir of Slytherin. It‘s your choice, but whatever you chose to do now you will have to stick with for the rest of
your life. It isn\'t as simple choice as you might think it to be, Harry. Each choice has its ups and downs but one causes you more grief than you can imagine. I can not tell you what you should do only you can decide, and I cannot discuss this subject any further. Due to
certain precautions, after all you are the only one that can decide the fate of us all .”
“I can’t do this, it’s not right. I am not powerful enough to do this all by myself.”
“Harry, if you set your mind to anything you can do it, I believe in you. You are the only one that can get rid of Voldemort and as far as I know, you will as long as you want to and believe you can.”
“How do you know that, I don\'t want to have this responsibility.”
“I just do, I cant explain it right now and you know that all of us will support you through this, no matter what happens.” Dumbledore said solemnly.
“Yes I know. Oh by the way, how are Ron and Hermione?”
“I have been meaning to tell you for ages but with all the Phoenix requests...... anyway they are fine and they will return tomorrow along with all the others. Now, you tell me your answer in private tomorrow about the house you want to move into. And one last very important thing I need to tell you before you leave... we at the Order of the Phoenix would like to ask you to join us to fight against Voldemort. We believe you can be a vital asset and you need to know what\'s going on at all times so that you can fight well and know strengths and weaknesses of Voldemort and his followers. Also I would like you to carry on with
your Occlumency lessons with Severus. I believe it would benefit you tremendously and it may be the key to weather you win or lose.” Professor Dumbledore looked at Harry through his half moonshaped glasses.
“I would love to carry on with the Occlumency, I had been very interested in learning it but then when I heard Profess......I mean father was going to teach it I had been very disappointed because I thought he didn\'t like me and I would find it very challenging. I should’ve swallowed my pride last year and carry on learning, but after what happened...”
“Ah yes Severus did mention that.”
“It was my fault Sirius died, wasn\'t it? Because if I had carried on with my Occlumency then I would have got my mind controlled and so would not have lead my friends into danger and not have had to been res. I . I just know Sirius is not is not dead yet, I can feel it.”
“ I don\'t know about that, maybe it’s best not to know either way.” Said Dumbledore off hand.
“Well,” said Harry, “I had better go tell father the great news.”
“Go on then but remember what I said.” Remarked Dumbledore.Harry nodded and left in a hurry nearly bumping into Professor McGonagall on the way out.
