Ultimate Betrayal: Chapter 40
Two days after reading the letter to Neville Longbottom, from his Grandmother, Wyatt and Aiden’s plans were quickly changed. They agreed that she needed to be brought to Avalon earlier than planned.
So that brought them to where they were today France. Just this morning the two had orbed into the Ministry of Magic to confront their Minister. Allowing the man to have knowledge of their arrival and when they would depart.
“You are aware Minister Malakai that this meeting is only for your benefit. For my Consort and I did not have to make you aware of our arrival in Paris.” Wyatt coldly stated as he placed his arm around Aiden, while his eyes remained on the Minister.
“I have every right to know who young man is on my soil, you have no rights to demand anything from me. I am the Minister here and I demand to know why you came. Britain is going to war with you and your people because of stupidity on their part. I will not have any of your squabbles here.” Snarled the grey eyes on the Minister, not liking the way the boy was acting.
“No you do not. I am the King of Magic and as far as I’m concerned, this meeting is over. You should watch how you run your Country old man for you may lose it when the war with Britain is over.” Wyatt snapped harshly before pulling Aiden to his side, orbing out of the French Ministry and back to their hotel.
“Shit, I never got to find out where they were staying or how long.” Malakai groaned as he looked up at the knock on his office door.
“Minister, you may have made an enemy of the King of Magic. And if that’s the case, you should find a way to fix it before anything happens. I know that you are friends with Dumbledore, but he seems to be a major cause to Britain’s war.” Assistant Minister Nickolas exclaimed. He honestly didn’t care either way what Malakai did. For if, the man did not correct his mistake, and then he would take his place as Minister instead.
“You maybe correct Nickolas, however I refuse to allow a boy no older than 20 to control me or my Country.” Minister Malakai exclaimed before dismissing his Assistant.
“More fool you then.” Whispered Nickolas as he closed the door to the Minister’s office again.

“Wyatt do you even know where Neville’s Gran is? I really don’t want to orb all over France just to find her.” Aiden hissed as he was once again orbed to another destination.
“I know where she is love, I just want to do some site seeing before we go get her.” Wyatt chuckled as they landed again in the alley.
“Great,” sighed Aiden as he was pulled toward the Eiffel Tower by his husband.
“Don’t be this way Aiden. This will be the only time we are able to do anything like this for a while. I thought you would enjoy it.” Wyatt exclaimed as they stood on the top of the Tower looking down at the people below.
“I just want to get everything over with before the baby comes. I don’t want to bring a child into a world filled with war.” Aiden sighed as he leaned back into Wyatt’s arms, not feeling well at being so far off the ground.
“Alright, we’ll head to the Lady’s Manor and bring her back to Avalon.” Wyatt exclaimed as he pulled his husband to a shadowed corner before orbing them to the Manor.

Longbottom Manor, France
Augusta Longbottom had just sent out the last missive to the Goblins, asking them to inform her when the King would arrive. And just as she was about to move to the parlor the wards around the Manor sounded, letting her know that someone had entered the grounds.
“Tilly, find out who has come into the wards,” yelled Augusta as she raced toward the main room as fast as she could. There was no way she was going to let someone harm her without a fight.
“Mistress the Kingsy of Magicks is here.” Tilly announced pulling her long ears in excitement.
“What? Well bring him to the parlor then.” Augusta snapped as she placed her wand back in her holster.
In the parlor, Wyatt and Aiden waited for the Lady of the Manor to arrive. As they waited, they noticed some of the Ancient tapestries that were hanging along the wall.
“This room is beautiful, husband-mine.” Aiden stated with a yawn, this trip had made him wary as well as tired.
“That it is love. We should not be here long. I know you want to return home.” Wyatt stated warmly as he raised Aiden’s hand to kiss his knuckles. Causing Aiden to smile warmly up at him.
Augusta watched the interaction between the two. She was shocked at how young the two looked. Even though she had known, they were young by what information she had gleamed from her grandson. Clearing her throat to gain their attention, as she walked into the room with grace.
At the sound, Wyatt looked up to see an elderly woman dressed in the finest silk of robes the color of midnight blue. Rising quickly as he pulled Aiden with him as well.
“Lady Longbottom, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Wyatt Halliwell and this is my husband Aiden Kage-Halliwell.” Wyatt exclaimed as he bowed slightly to Augusta.
“It is a pleasure to meet you as well as your husband. I just wish it was in better circumstances.” Augusta bowed slightly as well before motioning the two to be reseated.
“As am I my Lady. “ Wyatt stated with coyness as he resumed his seat with Aiden by his side. “Your letter arrived to your grandson, which is the reason my husband and I have arrived to bring you to Avalon earlier than planned.”
“I see, so you know what I had written to my grandson?” Augusta questions the young King before her with a raised brow.
“Yes, I am aware of its contents my Lady. As such, we must make haste to bring you inside the walls of Avalon. I had hoped for a more dignified arrival, however it is not meant to be.”
“Very well all of my belongings are still packed. But before we leave, I want to ask if I will be able to see my grandson upon my arrival.” Augusta asked sternly as she glanced at the King then to his quite husband.
“I see no reason you should not have that liberty my Lady. “ Wyatt announced to her before turning to his husband with a raised brow.
With a sigh Aiden closed, his eyes before turning into ‘Storm’ so the three of them could orb together back to Avalon. He trills in laughter at the shocked look of Neville’s grandmother’s face as she looked at him in phoenix form.
“My Lady meet ‘Storm’, and ‘Storm’ Lady Longbottom,” chuckled Wyatt with a small smile.
“An Ice Phoenix, my King Wyatt you and your husband are full of surprises. “ Augusta gushed with wide eyes, as she watched the phoenix before her start to preen at her.
“You have no idea Madam, no idea at all.” Wyatt smirked.
“Well if you would give me a few moments to gather my belongings as well as my Elves. For I refuse to leave them behind.” Augusta stated with conviction.
“Of course Madam take all the time you need. For by the time we return to Avalon the time will be late.” Wyatt stated with a nod of his head.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Avalon
It was two in the morning when Wyatt, ‘Storm’ and Lady Longbottom arrived in Avalon. The castle was quite as the two walked down the main hall, while ‘Storm’ had nestled himself into Wyatt’s neck with soft trills, letting Wyatt’s know that he was sound asleep.
“The castle is beautiful, King Wyatt.” Augusta whispered at his side as they walked slowly down the hall toward their destination.
“Thank you my Lady, I hope that your stay will be just as beautiful. I will escort you to the quarters that are across from Lord Zion and Mister Longbottom. So that you can see him after you wake, reason being it is late and all are in bed. In the near future, I would like to have a meeting with you regarding Britain. However I will give you a few days to get acquainted with Avalon as well as your grandson and his mate.” Wyatt stated as he walked up the stairs toward the rooms that were readied for her.
“That is most thoughtful of you. I’m not sure what help I can provide but I will do my best to answer any questions you may have.” Augusta exclaimed as they reached what appeared to be her rooms.
Wyatt said nothing as he opened the door with a wave of his hand. Before escorting the Lady into the room. “These are your quarters during your stay in Avalon. I’m not sure how long you will be here, but I figure it will be sometime before you leave with your grandson and his mate.”
“What do you mean leave with Neville and his mate?” Augusta asked softly taking in the beautiful cream and peach interior of the sitting room.
“I was under the impression that you would like to stay with your grandson.” Wyatt stated, and continued after Augusta nodded her head ‘yes’. “Well then when this war is over and Lord Zion leaves with his mate, you will also. Lord Zion has a Clan to oversee as such he will not remain in Avalon when the war is over.”
“I understand, this is all new to me. I do know what a powerful Clan Crescent Moon is, as well as the fact my grandson will become a Vampire. That fact has given me many sleepless nights, even though I’ve not met this Vampire Lord I can tell by his letter that he is a just man.” Augusta stated before ordering her elves to unpack the belongings.
“He is and one of the most loyal. As well as one of my Advisor’s and my friend. I can tell you he will do right by your grandson regardless of his status.” Wyatt stated blandly before walking out the door with a soft ‘Goodnight’.
Augusta blinked as she watched to King walk out of her rooms closing the door behind him. She did not know what to say or think, at first she was angry and upset with what was happening. Then she was scared and now she was completely at a lose as to what was going to happen next. But she was sure of one thing the King was going to give them one hell of a ride.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wyatt had not taken more than two steps away from Lady Longbottom’s door before Zion appeared before him. With a sigh, he looked up at his friend with tired eyes.
“Zion?”
“I take it that my mates’ grandmother is in that room?”
“Yes and she has my permission to visit your mate when she wakes. I figure that in the next day or so we should be finished with the interrogations of the last three prisoners. Then we will all begin to strategize for the war ahead of us. Aiden would like to finish it soon and I agree.” Wyatt announced quietly not wanting his new guest to overhear them.
“Finishing it quickly has nothing to do with your mates’ condition?” Zion smirked with knowing eyes.
“Don’t push it my friend.” Wyatt hissed with narrowed eyes before turning to leave the Vampire Lord. And as he was right at the stairs, he turned with a calculating glance and whispered toward the other. “By the way what happened to that sword?”
Zion’s eyes widen before vanishing out of the hall without a word. But not before hearing the soft laughter of his King ringing in his ears.
