Chapter 47: Aurelius

The Merlin Club: Diagon Alley:

Aurelius Flint walked through the doors of the most exclusive wizard’s club in Britain with a barely perceptible smile on his dark features. He gave his gloves and cloak to the waiting house elf and made his way into the bar. His eyes were searching nonchalantly for his quarry.

“Aurelius,” said Gerald Greengrass with a surprised smile. “What brings you to London?”

“Business,” drawled Aurelius. “Mixed with a little pleasure.”

“Will your lovely wife be joining you,” asked Gerald politely and with a small grin.

“I’m very sure that Natalya has not yet noticed that I am not at the manor,” said Aurelius with a shrug. “Have you seen Malfoy today?”

“I believe that he is in the reading room,” said Gerald as he gave a small gesture towards a hovering house elf. His glass was refilled immediately. “Would you care for a drink?”

“Later,” purred Aurelius. “And the drinks will be on me. Congratulate me Greengrass, my son is to be married.” Aurelius accepted Greengrass’s congratulations and strode towards the reading room with a spring in his step. When he stepped into the plush reading room, he saw a flash of platinum hair in the candlelight. A small smile flashed across his features then disappeared. He walked towards an oblivious Lucius Malfoy.

“Malfoy,” drawled Aurelius. “Just the wizard I was hoping to see.”

“Flint,” said Lucius Malfoy as he looked up from the book he was reading. “What a pleasure it is to see you as always.” His cool gray eyes challenged Aurelius.

Aurelius settled himself into the chair opposite Lucius. Both aristocratic wizards gazed at each other silently for a few moments. Neither man was willing to concede an inch. After a long silence, Lucius raised an eyebrow and asked, “To what do I owe this pleasure Aurelius.”

“Would you care to join me for a drink,” said Aurelius innocently. “I find that I have occasion to celebrate.”

“As you wish,” said Lucius as he got gracefully to his feet. He was walking towards the bar when Aurelius’s voice stopped him in his tracks.

“My son is getting married this summer,” said Aurelius lazily. “And, just between you and I, the boy has anticipated his marriage vows a tad. He will provide the Flint family with an heir, in about eight months.”

Lucius’s face flushed then paled. His gray eyes grew opaque with anger and frustration. Then suddenly, his face went blank. Aurelius could see Malfoy visibly get his emotions under tight control.

“I see congratulations are in order, cousin,” said Lucius with admirable control. Both wizards continued into the bar and sat down in the luxurious leather chairs scattered throughout the area. Drinks were immediately brought to the two men.

“Thank-you cousin,” said Aurelius softly and without a hint of mockery. \"I am not exactly pleased over the circumstances but boys will be boys.”

“The girl is a Slytherin,” asked Malfoy with a raised eyebrow.

“No,” said Flint. “Gryffindor. She has backbone though. She’ll need it in order to deal with my headstrong son. Her name is Katherine Bell. I believe she is on their Quidditch team.”

“Quidditch,” said Malfoy with a smile.

“Yes, I know,” said Aurelius with a shake of his head. “Leave it to Marcus. Quidditch ability would be the first thing he looked for in a bride.”

“The first thing,” asked Lucius with a smirk.

“I am quite sure her long legs and pretty face had more than a little to do with his choice as well,” said Aurelius with a sardonic smile. “She does meet with my approval though.”

“Ahh,” said Malfoy. “The Flint heir.”

“Precisely,” said Aurelius. “And her bloodline is good but not overbred. The ten generation pureblood girls tend not to be good breeders. She has two older brothers. I do hope that means I can expect two or three grandsons from her.”

“Yes,” said Lucius as a shadow crossed his face. “When we were young, a pure bloodline, long legs and a pretty face seemed to be the most important aspects in a bride.”

“Yes,” said Aurelius intently. “We both know now that a bride’s ability to bear viable heirs to the estates is just as important. And I do believe my son has reached the winning post first. Hell Lucius, I may have more than one grandson before your boy leaves Hogwarts.”

“Yes,” said Lucius pensively. “I do believe you will.” He gestured to the house elf for refills.

“Don’t worry Lucius,” said Aurelius a little maliciously. “Seeing as we are each other’s closest cousin, you can rest easy knowing that your estates will be in good hands, should your boy remain childless.”

“I am so relieved to hear that, cousin,” said Lucius with admirable control. “It must give you such relief knowing that your estates will remain in Flint hands rather than pass into the Malfoy holdings now. I drink to your prosperity.”

“Thank-you cousin,” said Aurelius with a look of shining benign innocence. A look that fooled Lucius not one bit. “We will see you at the wedding.”

“I would not miss it for the world,” said Lucius as he drained his drink and got to his feet “Narcissa is expecting me for dinner. Oh, I must not forget.”

“Higgins,” said Lucius with a slightly raised voice. The majordomo of the Merlin Club came forward on soundless feet. “Would you be so kind as to witness the conclusion of a gentlemen’s wager.”

“Is the wager recorded in the betting book, my lords,” asked the silvery ghost.

“Of course,” said Lucius with a bored look. “I wagered my dear cousin here that I would have my son betrothed before his son twenty-four years ago. Flint has won that bet. I will have Gringott’s transfer the galleons in the morning. Is this acceptable Aurelius?”

“Of course cousin,” said Aurelius with a smile. “Do give my best to Narcissa.”

“And you to Natalya,” said Lucius with a sharp smile as he left the room.

Aurelius leaned back against the cushions of the chair with a satisfied smile on his darkly handsome face. Later as he walked through Diagon Alley, the smile never left his face. He wandered through the crowded street idly. Until he spotted a familiar face and his entire body stiffened. A wave of fury went through him when he saw Mellisande Avery walking out of Madame Milikins. He came up behind the unsuspecting witch and grabbed her arm.

Mellisande Avery stiffened in outrage when she felt a hard hand grab her elbow. She gasped in surprise when she heard a familiar voice whisper in her ear.

“Mellisande,” hissed Aurelius. “You have been a very naughty girl.”

“I have no idea what you are talking about Aurelius,” said Mellisande coolly. She tried to walk away from Flint but he steered her down the dark corridor that led towards Knockturn Alley insistently. He maneuvered her around the dark twists and turns until she had no idea where they were precisely. A shiver went through her as she dared a look into his set face. He looked angry. She shivered again.

“Aurelius,” snapped Mellisande as she looked into the gathering gloom of the dark alley. “What is it that you wanted?”

“An explanation,” said Flint as he pushed her into a dark corner.

Mellisande felt trapped as Aurelius put his hands on either side of her face and leaned into her while she had her back against the wall.

“Mel, exactly how many times did you fuck my son while we were having our little affair,” asked Aurelius darkly.

Mel’s eyes widened as she sputtered her denials.

“Liar,” whispered Aurelius in her ear softly.

“I was just so angry with you,” said Mel weakly as Aurelius pressed closer against her body. Her heart pounded as she felt him against her. She tried not to look into his face. He made her weak. She hated that fact. She also hated the way her body leapt in response to his so easily. After all he had put her through.

“Really,” purred Aurelius as he ran his cheek against the side of her face. “Why?”

“You were never going to leave your wife,” said Mel angrily.

“Of course, I’m not going to leave Natalya,” said Aurelius with a laugh. “Whatever gave you that ridiculous idea? I assume you and Avery are still married as well.”

“I would have left him for you,” said Mel desperately.

“I already have a wife Mel,” said Aurelius with cool eyes.

“You cold bastard,” hissed Mellisande. “That why I did it.”

“My son?”

“Yes,” hissed Mel. “It was so easy. Your son has the most deliciously hard body, Aurelius. When he got out of that pool that day, I knew I had to have him. I wondered if you and he shared more than a family likeness. It was such a pleasure to introduce him to certain things. He was so eager and such a good student. You did not notice a thing. Remember that you were already cheating on me with that Nott creature.”

“I was cheating?” asked Aurelius with an amused tone. “You were my mistress, not my wife, Mel.”

Mellisande made a move to hit Aurelius but he captured her hand easily. He leaned against her harder and gave her a slow smile.

“Arrogant bastard,” hissed Mel.

“Slut,” hissed Aurelius back. He gave her a swift and angry kiss. Against her will, Mel kissed him back fiercely.

“Mel,” whispered Aurelius in her ear. “Do you remember that time at Malfoy’s after the hunt ball?”

“No,” lied Mel as her face flushed. Aurelius’s hand had insinuated itself under her robes. The hand was making its way down her torso.

“Liar,” whispered Aurelius as he claimed her mouth in a fierce kiss. His hand had reached down over her trembling stomach to delve in between her legs. His leather covered fingers slid into her pants as Mel gave a small moan of pleasure.

“So wet,” purred Aurelius. “I can feel you through my gloves. Are you sure you don’t remember Lucius and I fucking you senseless in the back garden?”

“I can’t remember,” hissed Mel as his fingers thrust inside her.

“I had bruises on my knees the next morning,” said Aurelius as he ground his erection against her stomach. He swiftly opened his robes and in a quick move, parted her legs and thrust his throbbing erection deep inside Mel.

“Ahhh,” moaned Mellisande as he rocked her against the stone wall. Her skirts were hiked up and she gave a slight sound of protest. “Anyone can see if they walk by.”

“They’ll just think that you’re a Knockturn tart, Mel,” said Aurelius as he thrust deeply and mercilessly inside her. “But I know that you’re a much higher class whore, don’t I,” whispered Aurelius in her ear.

Mel bit Aurelius’s lip then kissed him deeply. The coppery taste of his blood lingering in her mouth as he began to move faster inside her.

“Do you know what I remember Aurelius,” asked Mel as she panted. “I remember the look on your son’s face when he came inside me for the first time. I can still see that gorgeous body of his covered in sweat as he groaned on top of me.”

“Merlin,” gasped Aurelius. He put his mouth over Mel’s to shut her up as he pounded into her body in hard fast thrusts. He could hear her give a long moan of pleasure when he finally poured his passion into her many minutes later. Aurelius closed his eyes and panted against her hair for a moment until he pulled away from her in an abrupt gesture. A few muttered spells later and Aurelius looked as good as new. Mellisande panted against the wall in a disheveled mess.

“Thank you for the talk my dear,” Aurelius as he straightened his collar. He apparated away with a small pop.

“You bastard,” grimaced Mellisande as she struggled to put herself together. “Why can’t I tell that man no,” thought Mel as she mentally berated herself. She gazed into the gloominess sadly.

Flint Manor:

“Aurelius,” said Natalya brightly. “I didn’t know that you were out.”

“I had a few things to take care of in London, my dear,” said Aurelius as he walked into the drawing room.

“Dinner will be in a half hour,” said Natalya absently. “We are expected at the Parkinson’s later tonight.”

“Yes,” murmured Aurelius. “Do we have anywhere to be tomorrow?”

“No,” said Natalya.

“Good,” said Aurelius. “We are having the Bells over for dinner. Please make the arrangements, my dear.”

“The Bells,” asked Natalya with a puzzled expression. “Why?”

“Marcus is getting married to their daughter Natalya,” said Aurelius with a hint of steel in his voice. “We must start the plans. After all, July is going to come quick.”
