Chapter 39
Ali wiped her forehead off as sweat dripped into her eyes. She could see Harry fighting as he tried to make his way to Voldemort. Her mind was blank as she worked on auto pilot just trying to keep up.
“Ali? You okay?” Hermione asked.
“Yeah I am fine Mione just tired.”
“Keep it together girl Harry needs you.”
“I know.”
Just then a cackle was heard.
“Aw look at the Mudbloods thinking that they can defeat my master.”
Ali and Hermione spun around facing Bellatrix LeStrange. She laughed again as she pointed her wand at Hermione.
“My master will be so pleased. Potter’s wittle Mudblood and she is all mine.”
Ali pushed Hermione out of the way and faced Bellatrix head on, “Don’t you even talk about her you crazy bitch.”
“How dare you speak to me!?! Do you even know who I am?”
“A very insane Death Eater… Why? Are you supposed to be someone important?”
Bellatrix’s face turned red with anger as she raised her wand toward Ali, “Why you little…Avada Kedavra!”
Hermione screamed as the green light came hurtling towards Ali. Ali’s hands came up and a wall of ice appeared in front of her. The curse hit the ice wall and bounced of hitting a death eater standing behind Bellatrix. Ali came out from behind her shield smirking. “Now Bella that wasn’t very nice, but then again neither was what you did to Sirius. You remember him don’t you, your own cousin. That you killed! This is for Sirius, you bitch.”
With that Ali held her hand out towards Bellatrix’s feet. As she screamed in pain Ali made a pulling motion with her hands freezing the water in Bellatrix’s body as she pulled it out. She started from Bella’s feet and worked her way up, until Bella’s body was nothing but a shriveled shell.
Hermione watched in amazement as Ali finished pulling all the water out of Bellatrix’s body. As the now shriveled up, dried out body of Bellatrix LeStrange hit the ground Ali turned to Hermione laughing, “That was fun.”
Hermione couldn’t help it. She also began to laugh.
“I’m not one for violence Ali but your right she deserved that. Now let’s kick some death eater ass and save our world.”

Once they turned away from the already forgotten witch they were faced with yet another bunch of Death Eaters. They had been fighting nonstop since they had stepped out here with Harry. Draco had been with them but now he was off fighting somewhere else. Ali tried her best to stay focused on what she was doing and not worry about the others, but every once in a while when there was a lull she would look around. She’d worry for a moment until she spotted either Harry or Draco fighting their own battles and then she’d get back to work.
Ali and Hermione were learning that while Ali could freeze and drain all the water from a person’s body Hermione could do something quite amazing too. Hermione had found she had a natural healing ability when she stopped to heal a cut Neville Longbottom had gotten taking out a Death Eater and she couldn’t find her wand. She had out of desperation started to work on the wound the muggle way when a soft, light green glow began to emanate from her heart and moved on to her hands where it stopped and collected. This light collected into a small ball of light that once she got over her shock she tried running it along his wound and it healed instantly only leaving a small scar.
“Whoa, Hermione I didn’t know you could do that!?!” Neville gasped surprised.
“Neither did I?” She said looking down at her hands.
Ali who had been covering their backs while Hermione healed Neville gasped in amazement. She looked around to check if they were still safe and spotted a vampire running at them. She quickly stepped in front of Hermione and Neville, killed the vampire and while looking down at them both said, “While this is a great new discovery, my dear. Maybe you can research it later, we have pressing issues to deal with. Like vampires, Inferi, Death Eaters, and other disgusting creepy crawlies to take care of right now.”
“Oh, your right Ali,” Hermione said helping Neville get up, “Can you handle things on your own Neville?” she said to him as she stepped away.
“Yeah, I can do it. Go on, I’m good.”
“Okay,” and with that Hermione and Ali left Neville to fight on his own as they fought on and on with the bad guys surrounding them.
They had been fighting with spells, hands and feet and any weaponry they had for what seemed eternity. They were getting tired and were already beat up and sore but they fought on. They fought on knowing they couldn’t give up they had loved ones and futures to look forward to once this nightmare was over. Hermione and Ali fought like warrior goddesses. Yes they worried about the lives within them, what mothers-to-be wouldn’t, but they knew they had to. They were going to fight alongside their husbands and friends, fight for their world.
As the field slowly became silent and began to freeze Hermione looked to Ali saying, “Dementors. Keep a happy thought in your mind and try and make the air around you a comfortable temperature.”
“What about you? You don’t have my elemental power?”
“I’ll just cast a patronus or hell maybe you can cast a warming spell or something. We have to keep our body temperatures at least normal for the babies.”
“I know,” Ali looked around desperate for Draco, “Okay, I’ll put a warming spell around you but what about me? I know I can keep the temperature around my normal but how am I supposed to do that and help Harry?”
“Just focus Ali. Its all you can do,” Hermione said touching her shoulder.
As Hermione and Ali were regrouping Draco who had left them to help some of the Aurors on the field after rejoining them earlier on came back. He told them Voldemort was here and the Dementors were his welcoming wagon and right as he said this the Dementors that were there did land in two rows heralding HIS appearance.
Ali and Hermione looked at one another and smiled sadly. Then Ali touched Draco’s hand and kissed him softly.
Draco held her tightly, knowing quite well this might be the last time they saw, held, touched, did anything together. He wanted to take her away somewhere, but knew he couldn’t. Harry and the world needed her here, fighting. So, he gave her one more long kiss and moved away from her with Hermione close at his side.
And as Ali moved towards the impeding battle of wills everyone else be them on Harry’s side or Voldemort’s was moving away. She knew what she had to do and was going to do it.
