Snape said she deserved better. Ginny sneered, called it payback. Harry said it was obsession, not love. His mother, Molly, comforted him, told him one day he will move on, he will find another girl and will not make the same mistakes.
Taking a deep breath, he faced the mirror. In the reflection, Ron Weasley saw Hermione smiling as his arms wrapped tightly around her.
He barely cared about her. He demeaned her dream of career. He mocked her as a frigid virgin when she refused him. He cheated on her with some random girls. He made some many huge mistakes. She left him with a broken heart. Now, he finally realized he wanted for nothing but her love. He needed a chance to win her back.
But he never got it.
In front of mirror, he lost track of the time.
He knew he should leave, but . . . he couldn’t see enough of her smile
Just one more minute, he will leave.
Just one more minute, he will back to the reality.
Just one more minute, he will head to her wedding ceremony.
Just one more minute, he will try to accept the fact that she is marrying Severus Snape, the-man-who was reborn.
Just one more minute…
Five days later…
“Oh, Harry. I can’t believe my stupid brother starved to death in front of the bloody mirror of Erised, how could it happen?” Ginny said.
“The mirror of Erised will make people forget everything but the most desperate desire, Ron just forgot to eat,” Harry responded.
“Should we owl Hermione?”
“Well, if you can find her …however, I suggest wait till they come back from honeymoon. It’s almost impossible to find them when they are traveling around the world.”
“You’re right”
