Meeting Zozo

Siri threw the ball and watched as Callista chased it across the lawn. He was excited because the new nanny was starting today. He thought that it would be great fun to have someone to hang out with him all of the time. With the new baby here and Daddy being pregnant, neither one of his fathers had the energy to play with him. He knew that the new nanny would help out and give them some time to relax. He giggled when he thought of her name. Daddy had said her name was Zozo. It was kind of weird, but he had figured out that most things about his life were so that was ok.

“Siri!” he heard his dad yell.

He turned and walked towards the house. “Yeah, dad?”

“I’d like you to come in and get cleaned up before your new nanny arrives,” Draco told him.

“Awe, Dad, I’m fine,” he complained.

“Sirius, you look like you’ve been out rolling in the yard!” Draco protested looking at the grass stains on his jeans.

“But I have been out rolling in the yard!”

“But you don’t need to look like it!”

“Dad! I’m not a girl! Boys are supposed to get dirty!”

Draco threw his hands up in the air. “I give up! You are entirely to much like your father!”

Harry walked into the room at just that moment and grinned. “That must be a compliment, Siri,” Harry said.

Siri laughed. “I think it was a bad thing this time, Daddy.”

“What’s going on?”

Draco glared at Harry. “Your son refuses to change his clothes. He has informed me that boys are supposed to look dirty.”

Harry glanced at Siri and noticed his grass stained knees and dirty hands. “What’s wrong with him?” he asked trying not to smile. He knew that Draco needed everything to be immaculate at all times.

“You are no help, Potter!”

Siri smiled at his fathers. “Alright, I’ll go change. It’s stupid though, I’m just going to get dirty again,” he said walking towards his room.

“And don’t forget to wash your hands!” Draco called.

“You want me to change my clothes and wash my hands? Dad, it’s not like its Christmas or something!”

Harry laughed at his son. Sometimes he thought that Siri said and did the things that he did to get Draco going. “Siri,” he said in exasperation. “Please?”

Siri nodded and left the room. He climbed the steps to his bedroom and pulled out his robes. He knew that his father would prefer him in Wizarding attire versus Muggle clothing. He smiled to himself and then put the robes back in. He then went to his dresser and pulled out a pair of well-worn jeans and a clean pull over shirt that Aunt Mione bought him that said, “Aren’t you glad I’m not your kid?” He grinned when he thought of the look his father would give him.

“Doesn’t she look beautiful, Harry?” Draco asked handing a sleeping Jazzy to her father.

Harry smiled as the baby stretched and yawned and briefly opened her eyes before closing them again. She was wearing the green dress that Neville and Hermione had bought for her and she looked beautiful. “She is darling, isn’t she?”

“I can’t believe that this is our life, Harry! Marriage and children! If someone had told me ten years ago that I would grow up and be soul bound to Harry Potter, let alone give birth to two of his children and get him pregnant with three more. Do you know how insane that would have sounded?”

Harry grinned. “I would have hexed someone for even suggesting that I would have sex with a Malfoy, let alone marrying one!”

“Hey! Being a Malfoy hasn’t been so bad!”

“Not since your father died,” Harry said seriously.

Draco was thoughtful for a moment and then sighed. “He was a bit difficult to get along with.”

“A bit?” Harry asked incredulously.

Draco laughed. “Its all behind us now though. I would trade my life with you for the world!”

“Nor I,” he said sitting down in his favorite recliner. “Draco, I think that I shall sit here until these babies are born,” he said closing his eyes. “Just wake me after, alright?”

“Are you tired, honey?”

“And my feet and back ache like crazy. I hate being pregnant. Damn!” he said moving back out of the chair.

“What are you doing?”

“I have to pee again! Here, take Jazzy.”

Draco burst out laughing. “I am so glad it’s you and not me!”

“Go answer the door, Draco, I see the nanny coming up the walk!” he said leaving the room.

Draco smiled again at his sleeping daughter and walked to the door beating the house elf there. “I got it Flunky,” he said. He looked past the elf and saw Siri coming down the stairs with a huge grin on his face. He looked so much like Harry that it made his heart race. He started to smile back at him and then noticed his clothing.

“Siri! What are you wearing?” he demanded as the knock sounded at the door.

“Someone’s at the door, Dad!” he said cheerfully ignoring his father’s question.

Draco glared at his son and then turned and opened the door with a smile noting to himself that he would have to have a talk with him later. “Hi, I’m Draco Malfoy,” he said to the smiling young woman before him.

She was tall and willowy with light brown hair and big blue eyes. She had a huge smile on her face that lit up her eyes with kindness and Draco could immediately tell that Siri was going to love her. “I’m Zozo,” she said.

“Is that your real name?”

Zozo laughed. “Yeah. My mother is a Muggle and dad a wizard. Mum wanted an American name because she’s from California and Dad wanted a traditional name. They decided to put several names they both liked into a hat and draw a name. Mum won!” she said smiling.

Draco looked at her as if she had lost her mind but stood back and let her in the door. “Please come in,” he said reverting to years of ingrained manners. “This is my son, Sirius, and this is my daughter, Jazz.”

“Jazzy’s an unusual name.”

“Yeah,” he said disgusted. “We had name issues around here as well. My other daughter, Lilly, named her.”

“Your husband said that she is staying with an Aunt. Will she be returning anytime soon?” she asked pleasantly.

“No. She will be with her aunt for a few years. They are very close and they seem to need each other. They are globe trotting until Lilly starts at Hogwarts.”

“I bet that must be tough for you,” she said sympathetically.

“Very. Shall we adjourn to the other room? Harry will join us momentarily. Do you have a trunk with you?”

“Yes, its in my pocket.”

“If you would like I can give it to the house elf and he can unpack for you,” Draco said.

“Sure, that would be nice,” she said taking it out of her pocket and handing it to Draco.

Harry arrived in time to watch Fluky take the shrunken trunk away. “Hello, Zozo, how are you today?”

“Great, Mr. Potter, how about you?”

Harry laughed. “Much to Draco’s disgust, we are not very formal around here. You may call me Harry, and I am doing about as well as can be expected for a man who is pregnant with twins.”

“I can’t even imagine,” she said looking at his bulging belly. “How about you, Mr. Malfoy, what shall I call you?”

Draco figured if he answered the way that he wanted to Harry would razz him for the rest of his life so he said, “Just call me Draco, everyone else does.”

Zozo raised her eyes at this. This household was definitely going to be different. Most pureblood families were very traditional and stuck to the old ways. She knew that Harry Potter was not a pureblood, but Draco Malfoy definitely was. Of course, when you were the savior of the Wizarding world, people tended to let you do what you wanted. “So, what are the rules around here?”

Draco snorted and Harry grinned. “We don’t really have any rules, per say.” Harry said.

Draco snorted again. “What Harry means, is that I make rules and he and Siri break everyone one.”

“Dad!” Siri said defending himself.

“Oh please, Siri, you’re worse than your father! Bat those little eyes at me and smile your big grin and I cave every time,” he said in disgust.

Harry laughed. “Its not quite that bad, but we are quite lax. We aren’t really much of a traditional family, you see. Both Draco and I were only children and we have no real extended family. We have friends that we are close to and love, and we have our children. We just tend to do what ever feels right at the time. One day something might be all right, and the next day it won’t be. What we need is someone who is quite flexible and can just roll with it. Also, someone who loves children as we will soon have five of them!”

Zozo grinned. “I can do that. I am not really all that structured myself,” she said. “My mother was quite unconventional and we just kind of went with it.”

“We do need someone who can help teach Siri some manners though,” Draco said looking at his son’s attire in disgust. “He spent his first five years in America, and he hasn’t quite figured out what it means to be a part of the Wizarding world.”

“Yeah, I read about you guys in the Daily Profit. Quite fascinating really.”

“We have friends in and out of here all the time. Most of them are just as strange as we are, but we love them. We would require that you treat them with the utmost courtesy and respect,” Draco said.

“That’s a given,” she said grinning.

“We have a dog named Callista. She is supposed to be Siri’s responsibility, and I would appreciate if you could help enforce that. It is his job to walk her and feed her. The house elves take care of grooming and other such care,” he continued.

“I love dogs! How old is she?”

“She is still a puppy really. Siri got her for his birthday at the end of February. Perhaps he could take you to see her later. For now, I will show you to your room and you can get settled. We don’t have any set meal times, so if you get hungry just let Flunky know. Harry and I are not big into breakfast; so don’t expect to see us. It will be your responsibility to make sure that Siri is up and fed in the mornings. I would like you to take Jazzy for a couple of hours in the afternoon to give Harry and I some alone time. You will have Sunday’s off and Thursday evening. Do you have any other questions?”

“No, sounds great! I am anxious to see my new room. Your home is lovely and I look forward to exploring it with Siri.”

“Stay away from the east wing. The family portraits reside there and they are not kind to half bloods. I do not want Siri subjected to their nonsense.”

“I understand.”

“Zozo, you should enjoy being a part of our family. Just be nice to the children and we shall all get along fine,” Harry told her.

She grinned and then followed Draco out of the room with Siri trailing after.

“Your room will be on the third floor. Right now you will be the only one up there, but we have planned to move Siri and Lilly’s rooms up there, as well as the others when they are a bit older. The third floor has twelve rooms all with their own bathroom so there should be plenty of room for all of these children.”

“Will you have more?” she asked.

“God’s no! We do not need to personally populate the Wizarding world!” he said shuddering.

A/N:
Hope you like this chapter...I actually started a new story last night...I don't know why, but it was stuck in my head and I had to do it. Read that one and let me know what you think...I shall probably be wrapping this one up fairly soon. I would say about five or six more chapters. Any ideas on names for the twin boys?
