Harry knew he shouldn't do it, especially since his lover was always going on about the importance of never changing something that happened in the past when they were there, but he couldn't help it. And he really didn't mean any harm by it.
They had appeared during the early morning of October 30th, 1981 and Harry didn't even have to think about it for more than an hour. When his lover, The Doctor, decided to go out exploring in a calm environment with no aliens trying to kill them, Harry played sick and stayed in their room on the Tardis.
Once he left, Harry slipped out of the Tardis, dressed in one of his robes with the hood pulled over his head, and apparated away to Godric's Hollow.
Appearing outside of the house, Harry took a few deep breaths then made his way up to the door. Knocking, he took a deep breath when he heard a loud male voice shout out that he would get the door.
When his father opened the door, Harry just stood there staring.
He must have worried him though, because he eventually asked, “Are you alright there?”
Rolling up the sleeves of his robes, Harry said, “I have something important to speak with you about concerning you and your wife.”
Noticing the look in his father's eyes, Harry said, “I'm willing to give you my wand and allow you to use Veritaserum if you require it. I only ask that you don't try to discover my identity.”
Stepping back, James held out his hand and took Harry's wand before he called out, “Lily put Harry upstairs in his crib and come back here please.”
Watching as his mother went up the stairs with a sleeping him in her arms, Harry allowed his father to lead him into a library.
“So what did you need to speak with us about?” James asked after Lily entered the room, closing the door.
“I know this may be hard to believe, it's why I offered to take Veritaserum, but tomorrow is the last day you'll be alive unless you leave this house.”
Pulling their wands, both Lily and James pointed them at Harry, whom didn't move so they didn't attack.
“Why should we believe that?” James asked, with a snarl.
“I know it is hard to believe, but someone betrayed your location. I can't say who, but you know the only person it can be. I'm risking a lot being here and telling you this. Look I've already been here too long. I need to go, but here.” Reaching into his hood, Harry yanked a few pieces of hair from his head and set them on the edge of the desk. “If you trust me and leave tomorrow test that hair and you'll understand why I've been here tonight.”
Standing up, Harry reclaimed his wand and fled the house before his parents could react. He could hear them calling for him to stop, but he didn't until he reached the edge of the wards and disapparated.
Returning to the Tardis, Harry curled up on the bed only moving to curl up into his lover's arms once he returned.
The next day, Harry stayed glued to his lover, not letting him leave the Tardis even for a few minutes, even though his lover knew that Harry didn't like this day and didn't even want to leave his Tardis.
That night, Harry lay in bed and smiled as memories started to pour into his head of holidays with his parents, pranks he played with Sirius, and books he read with Remus.
Nuzzling into his lover's chest, Harry said, “Let's go back to my place, Doc. I want to introduce you to some people.”
