Chapter 3: Back home

Harry had just sent the owl out of the window when he heard a soft knock on the door. He quirked an eybrow, but went to open the door. It was Remus Lupin.
\"Hi, Harry.\"
\"Remus! What\'re you doing here?\" Harry had force himself to lower his voice.
\"Picking you up. I told you be ready asap.\" The werewolf grinned.
Harry was confused. \"But... I thought you were going to come tonight. With Tonks and Moody.\"
\"Guess I came by a little early, then. - How\'re you doing?\"
\"Fine. I think. No, not thinking. Thinking is no good.\"
\"The Dursleys?\"
\"Don\'t even know he\'s gone. And it\'s better that way.\"
\"Wasn\'t there anything in the muggle papers? I mean, Sirius was cleared of all charges and the papers had it all over their frontpages for a week or something.\"
\"Nope, nothing in the muggle papers.\" He sighed. \"Look, can we just get out of here? I want to be out before they wake.\"
\"Sure.\" Remus hexed Harry\'s belongings to fit into his pocket. He opened the door of Hedwigs cage. \"Go on, girl. You don\'t want to be shrunked, too.\" The snowy owl hooted softly before she hopped out of her home and was gone a second later. Remus also shrunk her cage now before he motioned to Harry. \"Come here, Harry. Let\'s get out of here.\"
\"\'K.\" Harry embraced him and closed his eyes. When he opened them again he stood in front of the Burrow, the home of the Weasley family. \"That was fast.\"
Remus laughed. \"That\'s pretty much the idea of \'apparating\', Harry. Come on, now. Molly\'s already waiting with the breakfast.\" He took the lead up to the kitchen door. \"Molly? We\'re back,\" he called through the window.
The red head of Molly Weasley appeared in front of them. \"Harry, dear. Thanks Merlin, you\'re here.\" She opened the door and pulled Harry into a motherly hug. \"Merlin, how thin can one get? Those Muggles haven\'t fed you very well, now, have they? Come on in now.\" She motioned for Harry to sit down. \"Ron and Hermione are still asleep.\"
\"Hermione\'s here, too?\" Harry\'s face lit up. Imagining to spend the summer again with his friends was too good to be true.
\"Yes. Didn\'t Ron write you?\"
\"He did. But he didn\'t mention Hermione beiere.ere.\" He began to devour the breakfast Mrs Weasley had put in front of him when he heard two almost identical voices coming down the stairs. Apparently the twins still lived here. \"\'Morning, you two.\"
Fred and George grinned. \"Oi, Harry, what\'re yoin\oin\' here?\"
\"Uuhm... having breakfast?\" He laughed. \"What does it look like, git?\"
Fred snorted. \"Yeah, right. I mean, when have you arrived?\"
\"10 minutes ago or something. Apparently some people think the Dursleys a dangerous place to be with all the stuff going on.\"
\"Yeah, right. As if Malfoy\'d pop up at your place and kill you.\" George helped himself to some bacon and eggs and sat down. \"What\'ve you been up to, Harry? Want to come with us to the shop?\"
\"Sure,\" he replied, but Remus and Molly both shook their heads.
\"Oh no, you won\'t, young mister,\" Remus said firmly. \"It\'s much too dangerous.\"
\"Remus, Malfoy won\'t show up at Diagon Alley just to kill me. His ex-... I mean Voldemort does a very good job at trying it, but never actually succeeding, remember? I\'m still alive.\"
\"Yes, and we\'re here to keep it that way,\" Molly insisted. \"You can visit the shop when we\'re going to buy school supplies, Harry dear. I know I can\'t keep you here if you really want to go,\" she added almost sadly and Harry was reminded painfully of the discussion Sirius had had with Molly when Sirius wanted to tell Harry what was going on last year.
\"\'Tis \'k. I\'ll wait \'till we all go to Diagon Alley.\" He grinned when both Remus and Molly sighed in relief. \"No need to get you all worried, now, is there?\"
Though Fred and George sported equal pouts about Harry\'s decision they chatted away happily during the breakfast. Just when the twins had left for work, Hermione and Ron were coming down to the kitchen.
\"Harry!\" Hermione shouted surprised, but happy. \"What are you doing here?\"
\"Finishing breakfast?\" Harry grinned. \"What does it look like? And why\'re people keep asking me this question?\"
\"Hey, Harry. You could\'ve told me you were coming.\"
\"I didn\'t know for myself, Ron. I got the owl from Remus this morning. And he didn\'t waste any time to get me out of there.\"
\"Good.\" Hermione sat down beside him. \"Have you done anything for school?\"
Harry blushed. \"No, I haven\'t. I\'ve been working for my aunt and uncle and hadn\'t had any time to even start my homework.\"
Hermione\'s expression went to the one she always wore when studying was in order. \"Then today is a good day to start with them, isn\'t it?\"
Both Harry and Ron groaned but they wouldn\'t dare to defy Hermione if it came to homework and the like. Remus grinned.
\"Well, then I leave you to your school business.\" He hugged Harry and Hermione good-bye and gave Ron a supportive pat on the shoulder. \"See you, then.\"
He diappeared with a tiny \'pop\'. Hermione quickly finished her breakfast before she looked expectantly at Harry and Ron. \"Well, let\'s start, shall we?\"

It wasn\'t until the day before they were returning to Hogwarts that the owl Harry had sent off to find Lucius showed up again.
\"Harry, do you know that owl?\" Ron asked as he looked up from his potions book; he was trying to finish his potions essay before they were going to Diagon Alley later that day. \"I\'ve never seen it before.\"
Harry also looked up and gulped. \"Yeah, I know the owl. It\'s one of Hedwig\'s friends.\"
\"Its carrying a letter.\" Ron got up to fetch the role of parchment. \"That\'s expensive stuff. And it\'s for you, Harry.\"
Harry took the parchment with shaking hands. The handwriting was smooth and elegant. It didn\'t say \'Harry Potter\' or \'Mr Potter\' or \'The Boy Who Lived\'. It simply said \'Harry\'.
